Some media outlets in south america are publishing an article called "Queen still wants to protect Freddie Mercury legacy". Their source is DPA London.
In it, they talk about their new projects. In one paragraph the article says:
"This year there will be some shows with the collaboration of some friends. Universal will release ten remastered records and there will be a movie where Sacha Baron Cohen will be Mercury. There will be also a record with Mercury and Michael Jackson music.

This must be more to life than this, State of shock and maybe a rumored jam session called "Victory", I suppose...
State of shock with Freddie would be great.

I believe there is a total of 3 songs...Perhaps more if they kept the others quiet, who knows..but interesting, thanks for the info.
"Victory"
Writers: Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury
* One of three songs Jackson worked on with Queen's Freddie Mercury in 1983

So I have to get a Barry Gibb AND Queen CD this year? I'll have to make room on my shelf, but that's fine with me! I can't wait to hear "Victory"! Although will Queen "complete" the songs melodically and lyrically i.e. background lyrics?

As long as they made it good, I am supporting it.
It should be great. I remembered the song just need to be remixed good.
Hope they would find a good producer and engineer to make it good.
I really want to hear Freddie's state of shock and maybe other songs.

At least Mercury has people who care and protect his legacy... Anyway, if it's coming from "Queen's vault" it means that the songs won't be destroyed like the ones from "MJ's vault".

Amen to that!
Yeah, I'm not actually a "big fan" of Queen but I've listened to their music for years and I've fell in love with them ever since I heard their songs, and of course Freddie Mercury's wonderful voice...
I'm really looking foward to this. Two icons who left too soon but didn't forgot about their fans and want to give back the love we all gave them...

My sister (a huge Queen fan) had a biography of Freddie Mercury years ago in which it said the songs MJ and Freddie did together were planned to be released on HIStory - Book 2. Don't know where the author got the info from or if a HIStory Book 2 was ever something MJ planned to do. But it does suggest that the songs are in Michael's vault. Regardless, you would assume both estates would have to ok this before it could happen.
I love Queen and that woudl be Awsome to finally have these songs released
being the scope of Queen and MJ Fans Im sure they will be hurge hits
I have never heard anything about MH planning a HIStory book 2.
Does anyone have info about that?
Well... two things:
1) I HOPE THIS IS TRUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :wild:
2) I am Chilean. El Mercurio is Chilean. To be honest, when it comes to this kind of info, I don't trust very much on them :(
3) BUT HOW I WISH THIS TO BE TRUE!!!!! :wild:

I always assumed that because HIStory had the name 'Book 1' in it, then Michael must/might have been planning on releasing a 'Book 2'. That's only my thought though :mello:

Do you mean MJ??????.......or is MH a different person?????
But wasn't the Blood On The Dancefloor album the final part of HIStory.........
I've always thought there were 3 parts to HIStory:
1.) Disc 1 - HIStory Begins (Greatest Hits Album)
2.) Disc 2 - HIStory Continues (Brand New Songs)
3.) BOTD - HIStory In The Mix (Remix Album)

Both MJ and Queen (Freddie Mercury) fans have been waiting an eternity for these songs to be released!!!!
And I can't remember how many times I've listened to the available demo's and wondered how good they would sound on CD!!!!!!!

Roger Taylor says they are working on unreleased MJ / Mercury songs
In the early 80′s, Freddie Mercury (the late lead singer of Queen) recorded 3 songs with Michael. Michael and Mercury were fairly good friends. According to Queen drummer Roger Taylor, it was Michael who suggested they release “Another One Bites the Dust” as a single. It was the band’s biggest hit in the U.S.
Anyway, Freddie stopped by Michael’s house to work on a few songs. They were “Victory”, “State of Shock” and “There Must Be More to Life than This”. The demos were ran through a few times but sadly left unfinished as both men had their own tours/albums to work on. Ever since, fans of both have been wondering how the songs came out, if they’d ever get the chance to hear them.
http://cdn.pimpmyspace.org/media/pms/c/g5/5r/r7/mercuryadn.jpg
A few years back, a box set of virtually every Mercury track recorded was released and fans had hoped the duets with Michael would be included. They were not. As yet, they have not been officially released anywhere in the world.
As some of you may know, “State of Shock” was released but with Mick Jaggar instead of Mercury. “…More to Life than This” ended up as a Freddie only track on his album “Mr. Bad Guy”.
In an interview with a Belgian magazine Roger Tayler says “We are now working on some never-before-released songs that Freddy made with Michael in the early 80′s. I’m not allowed to say too much about it but they sound incredible!”.

I believe so...I personally think that Michael and Freddie in 'State of Shock' is far superior to the version with Mick....Mick's voice doesn't even come close to matching Michael's calibre...
Insane!!

I've read somewhere that Mick Jagger had no voice at all and had hard time to sing State Of Shock. However I still love the song.
p.s. When you hear this demo you can clearly hear Michael's powerful voice.
