Hey all...I need special headphones but there are so many to choose from..does anyone have any that they recommend, taking quality and cost into account? Is the AKG Q460WHT Quincy Jones Signature On-Ear Headphone worth it..I'm concerned over the bass feature and I can't have too much of it plus I need ones that allow me to hear songs differently than I'm hearing them now using regular headphones. I'm only interested in buying them for Michael's songs as someone on this board recommended getting them..anything for Mike

If you want base, don't go past Bose. They do inner ear and outer/around ear, and they're worth the expensive price tag. The ones I have have lasted me for years, and the sound quality is just gorgeous.
This is the Australian site but I'm pretty sure you can buy them in any country -

I'm also interested in purchase some good headphones. Most people say Bose are the best but I would like to know about other options (including the best prices :D)

Well you'll have to pay at least over a hundred dollars for a good pair of headphones, no matter what the brand.

i would choose Sennheiser Koss or AKG.
i have the sennheiser HD600. i have them for 5 or more years now, but the sound is so so great. :) unbelieveable sound. :punk:

but the best headphone from sennheiser is now the HD 800...

i also used some Koss headphones in the past. and i still use koss earphnoes on work with an mp3 player. if u want to have BASS BASS BASS, buy "koss - The plug". they will blow your ears away. believe me! :punk:

or "The Quincy Jones Signature Line" from AKG. AKG Q701
http://www.akg.com/personal/,pcp_id,278,_psmand,1.html?quincy#/the-line
or a cheaper different ersion AKG K701
http://www.akg.com/personal/K%20701,pcp_id,165,pid,1,_psmand,1.html
but i think most people will choose the AKG K701. cause its cheaper. and for this a great buy.
dont buy bose . their headphones are bullshit.

Denon do awesome headphones! I had some and loved them, until my rabbit chewed through the wire. :bugeyed
Bose are great too. I have some crappy Sony ones atm that were £7.99 and they're surprisingly good. Price isn't everything imo.

we dont talk about price. we talk about quality. and there is Sennheiser, AKG and Koss the best. and AKg is maybe the absolute best. sure other manufactures made good products. like sony, bose, or denon (for me denon is one of the best in amplifer, but nothing for headphones), and all the others. but there are these 3 in a seperate league. like the champions league.

No way, Bose are used amongst a lot of professionals! My dad has been playing bass guitar since the 60s, and he's always sworn by Bose. Bose is number one for good, quality bass in your music.

Bose noise cancelling headphones. End of. They're fantastic, I've never heard anything so crisp in my life. The bass is stunning, and I've heard things in Michael's music I've NEVER heard before....They're expensive, but totally worth it...Even if you get cheaper Bose, it's worth it....Klipsch is also good...

Oh, and they feel like squishy marshmallows around your ears :D

No, not at all...I think it's only 1 AAA battery, so it doesn't make a difference....I always forget to turn the battery off, though, and end up killing it..lol...
I think the battery is actually FOR the noise cancelling feature...

I have these - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDR-XD200-Stereo-Headphones-Silver/dp/B0007TBJYA/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1QV9BUE8YDCZX&colid=G2674CLZKW3O
They're great. Sound is lovely. Though they're very large and the cord is really, really long. But I love them. :D
