WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a SHOCKING amount of songs to have recorded and not released!
I hope one day that these songs are....don't know where to start - i wonder if the Planet Earth one is like the poem he wrote!
Thanks for this!
Michael is such a star! A Legend is just not a big enough word to describe how talented he is!

I read somewhere that MJ used to have this idea that the perfect album had 9 songs on it, so he should have a lot of unreleased songs. It would be great if some of them could be released...

That is quite a list of unreleased songs. I would love to hear almost all of those songs. But the one thing you kind of forgot to do is to put a star next to Trouble. I have that whole song on tape somewhere. I really like that song it was made during the Thriller Era I think. Plus I also have this long version of Billie Jean that I don't think it has been released yet. This version of Billie Jean is over 6 minutes long. I prefer that version more than the one on the Thriller Album.

Lusie Is In Love With Linus[/b]
Shouldn't this be 'Lucy Is In Love with Linus'? The names are from the 'Peanuts' comics. It's a weird title because Lucy and Linus are brother and sister.

OK I fixed the star by trouble.. :) lol! I hope we got that situated..
Anyways, ya I would love to hear these songs..
Oh and while I'm making a comment I might as well tell you guys that the rumor the Chicago 1945 was turned into Smooth Criminal is NOT true.. It is a different song.. The concept of the video was probably derived from what he was thinking for using for Chicago 1945.. But it is not the same song..

Quite a list but I know MJ has even more unreleased songs than that, TONS actually. We'll probably never hear even half of them but a lot of his unreleased songs have been great, even better than some of the songs that made his albums so I hope we get to hear more of them in the near future.

Yes Trouble is from the Thriller session, and it is indeed a truly great song!I like it alot.To bad it did not make it on the album...And the Billie Jean version you are talking about is actually a demo of the original song.I think it's an earlyer demo than the one on the Thriller Special Edition. :)

ya, there are alot more songs.. These are just the ones known of.. Mentioned by Michael, leaked, tracks, mentioned in legal debates, talked about within those who worked with him.. etc..
Michael writes music ALL THE TIME.. He never stops.. I mean for this upcoming album we heard about a a small number of possible track titles.. But see, Michael was writting for another album for a LONG TIME.. Before the trial.. a few tracks went on Ultimate Collection, but you better believe that there are A LOT more never known of, mentioned..
Lets not forget the Peter Pan song, that he sings in that 1984 interview..
"I'm Peter Pan, I am forever, I can fly so high..." etc....

Michael u better release those songs :zformation: :P
I would really love to hear some of those.. He could release a collectors set of unreleased material.. Kind of like ULTIMATE COLLECTION but ALL unreleased material..
Now which fan would not LOVE that..
Oh ya, I think I forgot to add..
Little Susie.. That was written in the early 90's and di not make the Dangerous album, but he put it on HIStory.

I would love for him to release a double album like HIStory. But have on it all the best of his unreleased songs. Put a brand new photo on it. And it would be great.
^^ I know I would love it... I think it would be so hard to convince Mike to do that. :( cuz how much of a perfectionist he is. Many of them he probably does not think they are RELEASE quality.. But I am POSITIVE out of the HUNDREDS of songs he could get a good amount of songs even in his opinion RELEASE quality... I mean, many songs MJ wanted to be on the album but did not make it after producers, writters, and MJ would talk it over.. Like Mike wanted STREETWALKER on BAD, but they wanted ANOTHER PART OF ME..
things like that..

theres a complete list of every song mj has worked on in the book for the record with in some cases why the song wasent released a gret book for every mj fan
U know, Dangerous was supposed to be a double disc set album. Like how History was.. They just made too many songs that they could not get rid of so they canceled the idea.. Did it AFTER dAngerous. That is what we see as HIStory.

Wow/ this list of unreleased songs is amazing
MJ can still release albums without stepping into
another recording studio .......I love the song 'Shout' /
I think it should have been included on the Invincible
album.

Only the instrumental version was released, which they used for a contest. You could write and submit lyrics for the song and the winner would have their lyrics recorded by Michael. If my memory is correct, it was AOL that held the contest.
This was a while ago though, and a version with lyrics was never made available.

I think this would be much better if posted in "MJ's Groove Theory" considering that's where you should post MJ's music thoughts and concerns :flowers:

There is a tv show in germany (dsds), one of those superstar casting shows. The guy who started it is one of the modern talking singers. he has copied all kinds of songs and then said he was the one who wrote them. one of the shows had the song "i have a dream" and he said he wrote everything himself, but i found " i have this dream" from mj shortly afterwards and i think its exactly that melody, maybe a few notes changed, but after all he copied again

But Dieter Bohlen from Modern talking used it as a song which all the candidates performed and i guess he made lots of money with something he did not write- remembering that he always says he wrote everything. i hate that guy anyway ; )

Hi KOPV,
its great to see a complete list of those songs. looks like i am still missing some in my "unreleased" collection. That means mj can take his time in writing new ones, if i get the missing ones from somewhere. MJ music cheers up my day. Where can i find them? Please let me know

Yeah, if anyone knows where I can download these, please let me know too! I knew MJ had tons of unreleased material, but I didn't know so many of them had been leaked.
A lot of the songs are simply locked up.. Never leaked or distributed in anyway so we cannot get our hands on them.. (some yes) but not all..
Mike has enough songs to do a few more Ultimate Collection type deals with a bunch of unreleased material.. I would love that..
