****HEADS UP!!! Everyone with a Signature!*****

G'day everyone :shades:


We've been getting an increasing amount of people who have signatures that are HUGE!!!!

Now I don't mind seeing huge pictures of Michael :D or any other great image that you people wish to share with us all.... but when it takes up half the screen...... it's just not fair for people trying to read the forum posts.

Also I know that the images do automatically get resized..... the problem there is.... they only get resized once the image has loaded.... this is a major problem for all our users who are on dial up and are wondering why some pages take so long to load sometimes.




So as a result we're going to reinforce our Mandatory Maximum Signature Size. Rule!




Please reduce the size of your signatures today!!!!


450 width, 250 height is the signature limit so please do this today!



Also, moderators will be REMOVING signatures that are too big.
We are giving you just over 24 hours before we will start removing the really big ones.


You can check the size of your signature by right clicking the picture and selecting properties - If your signature deminsions is bigger that 450 x 250, you will need to resize.

There are websites online that can resize images for you if you don't know how to using software :flowers:

it looks fine to me ... it doesn't make the page carry over at all. I guess it depends how nit picky they want to get about it. The thriller 25 image is wider than 450 but again, it does not go off the page and create a scroll bar to view it.

dangerous, there wasn't really a problem w/ur siggy before... i mean we're not breakin out rulers here and measuring we just don't want HUGE signatures that stretch the board, increase load time for dialup users and are just well annoying LOL

if someones sig appears to be larger than allowed then i'll check it out and if it is i'll PM em... if its 468 vs 450 am i gonna slap ur wrists no... if its 500, 600, 700 (which some have) then ur gonna hear from me... LOL but if it is 470 and some mod says something politely resize :)

yea it the lastfm sig was very confusin at first.
Just click on my sig and ull be directed to last.fm, then sign up.
after u signed up, download the lastfm software. just msg me if u need help
but just try do that 1st and then Ill tell u what to do next.:)

I hate having to ask people to resize!! and I really hate having to remove signatures.



Please note this is what an acceptable signature size should look like:



a few lines of text here maybe

We allow a little extra above or below the image like one this big (for a few lines of text etc.)
We also allow for the few who have signatures at 455 wide or 255 high.


Anything else is getting removed.

If you're using more than one image check to see how wide it is on the screen... but more importantly how HIGH! :lol:


Use commonsense. If you image is taking up a sizeable chunk of your screen when you view the forum... know that it is doing that for everyone who's reading our forum.
