There's an interview as well:
One spin of her sexy new album Discipline and it’s apparent that Ms. Jackson is still a little bit nasty--and more than ready to top the charts again
With the release of her tenth album, Discipline, Janet Jackson is back to prove that her rhythm nation is as strong as ever. Jackson collaborates with genre defying artists like Missy Elliot, Ne-Yo and Seal and breaks new creative ground with a sexy new collection of electro-funky jams like “Luv” and “2 Nite” and the uncompromising power ballad “Can’t B Good,” which virtually ensure that Discipline will be the soundtrack to the summer. MySpace chats with Janet about the inspiration behind her most personal and sexiest album to date.
Discipline is your tenth album. How are you able to constantly stay innovative when it comes to yourself and your sound?
For this album I worked with quite a few different producers, which is something different for me. I wasn't quite used to picking records from several producers but it was a good experience because I was able to pick the best songs out there.
How autobiographical is this album?
There is Discipline in everything I do, so the overall theme is the same theme of my life. It takes Discipline to be around all of these years in the music business, it takes Discipline to keep up with my physical training, and it takes Discipline to get ready for shows the way I do. The songs on the album reflect different aspects of my discipline whether in work or play.
What song is closest to you on Discipline?
All the songs hold a space n my heart but the 1 that touched me the most recording it would b never letchu go n can't b good...I think we've all been there @ some point n our lives
If you could have anyone in history–real or fictitious–as your top friend on MySpace, who would it be?
Dali Lama & Yoda
