And I'm sorry if it's gone forever. It can not be rebuild simply because some members are gone or not that active anymore.
We can certainly build something new... but that's just like your home got burned down and photos should be done new... ppl just got older.
So honestly I'd hate it if those datas are gone forever!

Out with the old, in with the new. I'm sorry for all the people who posted in this place far more than I do (though I do read a lot in here) there was a lot of intersting stuff lost. I hope Enrico can wave his magic wand and save the day :). It makes you realize just how special MJJC is and appreciate the fact that this is all we lost.

You really didn't have back ups? I mean for the really long term threads isn't there some point you can go back to and recapture the info. In case of the database it seems you would be able to recapture the records that referred to GD3 and add them back to the current database.

And even when files are deleted they are still on the drive. It is just the name in the index that points to them that is deleted. Of course after time they are overwrtten so by now it may no longer be there and a table in a database is different but it just seems so odd.

I was shocked that everything was gone. I was gonna post my two cents on that Election thread! Dang!! It was a great thread. The debates were amazing!

I was also gonna post on that thread regarding the jobs/careers that we have and it was gone! I really wanted to know what all of you do for a living.
