Seems there's no news thread today so let me get one up here ;)</p>
Well, it seems breaking news is that there is movement at Neverland - what it means nobody knows yet but there is no short supply of spectulation - for more please go here http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48378
Ok, there is amazingly not much else positive going on - in the tabloid section you'll find the latest issues with the Jackson Family sibilings being broke
Tom Meighan dishes out 4,000 pounds for Jackson puppet
London, Mar 24 : Rocker Tom Meighan has dished out 4,000 pounds for a Michael Jackson puppet.
The Kasabian frontman bought Jackson's puppet from Eighties' show 'Spitting Image' at an auction on eBay.
"Tom has had his eye on Spitting Image memorabilia for a while, The Sun quoted a source as saying.
"He was scouring the internet to see what he could get his hands on. The Jackson puppet came up on eBay and he made his move.
"The Kasabian tour manager did all the negotiating for Tom so he wouldn't get too carried away with the bidding," the source added.

People always told me be careful of what you do
don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
mother always told me be careful of who you love
be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth

Asked about the differences between the two brothers, senior captain Taj Finger couldn't help but reveal, to the entire world, that, "Robin also loves to sing off the court.''
Added shooting guard Anthony Goods: "Robin loves to sing. Brook loves to tell Robin to shut up.''
And is the singing good?
"It's an acquired taste,'' Goods said, laughing. "Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson. Just, you know, just depends on what he feels like at that time.''
Beatles Career Threatened By Bootleg
By Rema Rahman (http://www.cinemablend.com/about.php#Rema%20Rahman): 2008-03-24 03:47:49
Well, it has, in the form of what sounds like a major lawsuit. No, this is not Michael Jackson selling “All You Need is Love” to a disposable diaper commercial. This is Apple Corps suing the **** (http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003728988) out of Fuego Entertainment - some Miami record company - who claims they own, and will publish, 15 never before heard bootlegged tracks from said Beatles club appearance.

on the Steve Harvey Morning show today they mentioned that Dileo stated that he did not make those statements in the NY Post article on the Jacksons... they said... "the quotes were made up".. Steve said.. "I never believed that story.. because I spoke to Marlon awhile back .. I talked to him from his studio/his home..and he was talking about projects he is involved with..so I know that story was not true.. and I hate things like this.. because the guy who lied in that article can just go on with his life and you the celeb can not do anything... I think their should be a rule that a celebrity can ***** slap anyone that writes lies about them like that..."

God, see how the media can twist things? Makes you sick. There should be a law, like slander or something.

There definately needs to be something to restrain these people. Freedom of speech is one thing. Slander is quite another.

There is. It is just too cumbersome. I think the system England has in place for this is good although you certainly see plently of ish coming from there as well.

Michael Jackson is trying to make a come back over the next year and I personally would love to see more of him on television.
Do you want to see more of Michael Jackson on Television?
With all the bad news about Michael Jackson, I can understand why some people would not want to see him on TV and may say his career is over…what’s your view.

YES ! Definitely YES ! His problems often lead people to forget what he accomplished as an artist and I think he should at least get some recognition for his work & talent, no matter what people think of him as a human being.
A lot of famous people had problems with justice and were accused of violence, rape and even murder. Some were convicted and none of them has been trashed as Michael Jackson is. And he was found not guilty…
(PS: Sorry for my english, it’s not my mother tongue !)

Honestly, there is no other entertainer that can perform as a soloist song and dance man like him. TRULY NO ONE IN HISTORY! He is a living legend and although he is much older now he still dances within each beat of the music like no one else we have at the moment… all the young ones (JT, Omarion, Beyonce, Chris Brown, NeYo, Ciara, etc.) aspire to be what he is: the ultimate entertainer and the most successful artist in recording history.
He does NOT need to “prove himself” with a comeback now. He has dedicated his life to being an entertainer and deserves our respect. He has already reigned and remains UNBEATEN… BUT anything musical he does now would just be great to witness. we are all lucky to have witnessed a man who is truly a gifted artist and a genius at performing live on stage.
Anyone who has seen him peform or listen to his lyrics will agree. I admire that he is still here and can see the effect he has had on the younger generation of artists while others that reached similar heights killed themselves with drugs, alcohol, obesity etc. he is still here and dedicated to his music. LET HIM ENTERTAIN YOU AND HE WILL!

Yes come back and just do what you best. Sing with soul, dance with passion, write lyrics from your heart and produce amazing short films!.. maybe even produce a fantasy movie…

To be very honest…
Even if you don’t like the man.
Even if you feel that he is a lousy human being.
You CANNOT, absolutely CANNOT deny his amazing God given talent.
He has MORE talent in his PINKIE that the WHOLE of the music business has right now.
And I’m not just saying this because I’m a fan. Do your reading. Check out the HEIGHTS his career went to…they were unprecedented.
As a music artist I feel he is very much UNDER APPRECIATED.
His music was amazing with many complex layers working together in concert to produce a beautiful sound. Just listen to the complexity of Billie Jean…all those layers. His song was one of the first to do that…way back in the 80’s and they’re STILL doing it now.
His dancing was fluid, smooth and precise…he SANG his music with his body.
Just watch how all will mourn him when he his gone, even the ones who bad-mouthed him the most.
There will NEVER EVER be anyone of his talent and star magnitude again…and even if there is, he/she won’t be able to go where MJ went before.
You don’t have to love the man, heck you don’t even have to like him…just don’t ignore his music.

Maybe people who think this about him needs to examine their own lives and themselves as human beings. but I get this over view that this person thinks Michael is talented. I think they probably think he is a wonderful caring person as well and are just trying to get those who don't think that to consider his music. They said they are a fan.

I think that would be a brilliant idea for a new reality show............however, I would be happy to do the slapping myself, actually. No need for Michael to take time out of his busy shedule. I`d be VERY happy to do it on his behalf-_-

I realy do think its time for journalists and publishers to actually be asked to defend their statements and opinions. Every other profession has to be prepared to defend their work, often against the medias attack- so who is guarding the media?

In my opinion, NOBODY is guarding the media.
There are just too many media outlets in today's market. You got the gossip columns being quoted in what is supposed to be the legitimate news. They are all in competition with each other and in their quest to be the FIRST, they don't have time to "vet" any stories.
We have all of these CABLENEWS stations, and they appear to have NO rules at all. They basically say whatever they want to say, with no sort of consequence.
I, personally, am suspect of ALL news and I don't care what the subject might be. LOL! But that's just me.

FORMER MIJAC MANAGER IN NY POST STORY BY MISTAKE: Frank DiLeo wrongly-quoted in article about Jackson family's financial issues.
(March 25, 2008
*A scathing story about the Jackson family in Sunday's New York Post claims most of the famous brothers are financially strapped and waiting on the next handout from Janet, but EUR has learned that a source quoted in the article claims to have never spoken with either of the two Post writers.
"In a series of interviews with three of the nine Jackson children, two relatives and a current and former employee - over the last three years and as recently as last week - The Post learned in stunning detail just how down and out the Jacksons are," wrote The Post's Stacy Brown and James Fanelli.
They go on to claim that Marlon, 51, is currently stocking shelves at a Vons supermarket in San Diego, and "had to temporarily move into an extended-stay hotel." Randy, 46, reportedly "does odd jobs, including fixing cars in a Los Angeles garage owned by a family friend. He recently claimed Michael was going to give him $1.7 million – 'a pipe dream,' said another brother last week."
Brown and Fanelli say that Jackie, 56, "is struggling to manage his son Siggy's aspiring rap career after an Internet clothing business startup and attempts to produce music failed." They claim that Jermaine, 54, "shuttles back and forth from his girlfriend's home in Ventura County, Calif., to his parents' mansion in Encino, where Jackie and Randy still bunk."
"Tito, 55, is the only brother still making music, but it's a meager living," the article claims. "The guitarist fronts a blues and jazz band that plays small venues and nets him $500 and $1,500 per occasional gig - a far cry from the days when the Jacksons could pull in 50,000 people at $30 a ticket."
As for Papa Joe, the 79-year-old, according to the article, "spends most of his waking hours conjuring up schemes he hopes will replenish a bank account that once had more money than the FDIC cared to insure."
EUR's Lee Bailey has spoken with Michael Jackson's former manager Frank DiLeo, who was quoted during a portion of the article about the possibility of a Jackson reunion tour to generate funds.
DiLeo was quoted as saying: "Michael was not going to work with the family again. He was concerned only about building his legacy. He had to be bigger than Elvis."
But DiLeo tells us he never made that statement. Furthermore, he contacted the article's co-writer, Stacy Brown, to complain. According to DiLeo, Brown said the quote was meant to be attributed to Bob Jones, MiJac's former director of communications and the author of "Michael Jackson: The Man Behind the Mask."
DiLeo told EUR: "Stacy Brown called because he wanted me to speak at the University of - somewhere up there [in NY] - and I told him I lived in Nashville and I wasn't able to do it, and that was the end of it. He said, 'How are things going,' I said, 'Fine.' We talked about our business in Nashville."
Next thing DiLeo knows, he's being quoted in the New York Post regarding Michael Jackson.
"And I don’t know what [Brown] got into with Bob Jones or whatever, but I'm not a part of that whole crew," he said. "I never make statements and I don't make any comments. Why they put my name in that and where they got it from – it could've been something from 30 years ago, for all I know."

I had seen that. I would call it a pretty unsatisfactory retraction. Maybe not from Dileo's standpoint but it didn't do much for the Jacksons. It only gave the tabloid an opportunity to republish the article.

You don’t have to love the man, heck you don’t even have to like him…just don’t ignore his music.
thats so unbelievably stupid so i wont even bother to make a comment on that .....

i just hate it when ppl praise the artist while trashing the person as i am mostly fan of michael jackson the human being. only the phrase "watch how they will mourn him when hes gone especially the haters" is pure stupidity cuz they talk like michael is a 90 year old and the haters are 10 year olds....the basic message is: "love the artist even though u hate the person" which is so damn stupid. i wouldnt like to see ppl who hate him with a passion to dance to thriller and sing his songs. michael has put his heart and soul into his songs and to listen to childhood and think hes a pedo is pathetic to say the least

I read the article myself. I am very sensitive about writers dissing MJ. I usually do not even finish reading the article as soon as there is any sign of disrespect. I really did not find any in this article. The writer addressed the haters who like to diss MJ and said even if they do not like him, they cannot deny his talent. I thought it was a very nice article.:D

Hell, I don't care if they don't like MJ as a person. I don't think there's a way for people to get out of their mindsets about MJ as a person...i think they're engraved in those that are set in what they've been fed over the last 20 years. But EVER IF they don't like MJ as a person the fact they still are INTERESTED in him, that they want to SEE MORE of him speaks volumes. It shows he's still relevant. And that his talent and music overrides all the BS.

I think if you can find a crack in their mind you can get in and start to change it. How they feel about Michael's music is that crack. It will take time but I think a lot, not all but a lot, of attitudes will change with time. It supposedly takes ten positive things you hear to offset every negative but with the testimonials and a shift in what the media says just as hearing a lie enough times makes people think it is the truth, hearing the truth enough times will make them believe that.

u cant hate/strongly dislike a person yet listen to their music. i cant even conceive that.
to not like him/support him etc yet like his music that i can understand. that i dont mind.
as for the opposite which is very rarely seen i have no problem whatsoever.
i have a friend who doesnt like his music (cuz shes not into that kind of music) yet she loves him and supports him as a person and finds him sexy etc. she always asks me about him when we meet :P

I don't think these people hate Michael. How could you? He's the nicest person, he really is, and everyone who knows him or meets him says so.
I think it's just a safe-comment to make. 'Well I don't know about him as a person, but he sure is talented.' They don't mean that. They just don't want to be stoned for saying they love him as a person as well. It's like all the kids on the playground see the bully picking on the smallest kid (Michael) and instead of trying to help that kid, they just join in with the bully because they don't want to be on the recieving end of those blows too. They conform and do what the bully does because they're afraid.
Listen, I've never seen a more genuinely good person then Michael and it makes me mad when people insult him as a human being. It's WRONG. Becaue it's his person that makes him special, just as much as his talent, if not more. So people should respect him. He respects everybody, so why shouldn't he be awarded the same treatment? People just fail to realize what an incredible person Michael is because they don't hear him, but only hear what they're told about him and what to think about him and how to react to him. It's an unfortunate condition which society grinds in to people over time.
If they ever actually opened their ears and heard Michael, I KNOW they would fall in love with the man. It's just a matter of getting them to listen.

I read part of the article that people on here are talking about and I am sorry but how can you dislike someone that youd o not even know? A person that has done nothing to you? I never understood that. I mean, it is not MJ's fault that people believe the lies about him. I did not bother reading most of the comments because it was coming out of ignorance rather than facts. How is MJ lousy? Lousy is the media, not some pop star that did not ask to be trashed because he did things his own way. I like the fact that they focused on the talent but they can't hate on someone based on what was said about them. That is not right. That is like liking JT's music but disliking him for some reason even though he personally did not do anything to you.
I was thinking, can Stacy Brown get sued for doing what he did to Frank? I thought what Frank said was not enough of a statement of denial. It was more of Frank basically accusing Stacy of putting words in his mouth.

Yes, indeed. He was denying that he spoke to Stacey but not exactly denying that he spoke to Bob, There is something fishy about this. I can't help feeling that someone wants a reunion more than the jacksons do, and are puting the pressure on for it. Mj gets all the blame for his brothers misfortune and MJ may sit up and pay attention. Right. It was more like Frank saying, "I could have said that comment but I do not remember" instead of flat out saying that it is a lie.
BTW, regarding yesterday's news thread when a fan posted what the haters over at Inside Edition said about Marlon - Marlon and Jackson are very common names so it is very possible that a person name Marlon Jackson, not specifically Mike's brother who is 10 months older than him, could have worked in that supermarket. However, that show assumed it Marlon of the j5 fame.

So, I approach people who I believe do not agree with me by focusing on what we differ? Wow, I did not know I even do that. Thanks for saying that, that was very judgemental and nice of you to say. It is great that fans feel they "know" someone based on posts/replies from a message board. :)

Mj gets all the blame for his brothers misfortune and MJ may sit up and pay attention
Thanks for saying that because I listened to Janet's interview on the Ms Jones show and one of the djs asked her if it was Mike who was "holding it up" regarding the reunion tour. Janet was not trying to say Mike's name but it was very obvious that she was talking about Michael. She was not trying to put the blame on him, but the way that she was saying it made me think that she was implying that MJ is the reason why nothing is going on regarding this reunion tour.
Also, and I want to make it clear that I have nothing but respect for Frank, but I find it a bit unusual that Frank has connections with that ugly bastard Stacy Brown. After the trash that he said about MJ and the family, you would think that Frank would not talk to the very people that trashed the family and Michael.
But DiLeo tells us he never made that statement

I did not understand the article as dissing MJ. As I understood it, the writer was addressing the haters, and metaphorically sticking his tongue out at them, saying, no matter what you want to say about MJ, call him what you will but you cannot deny the fact that he has more talent in his little pinky than any other artist you may want to name., That is how I read it. My point is, why is Frank speaking for Stacy. Just tell the paper he didn't say that to Stacy and let Stacy dig his own way out. It isn't a 'retraction' if Stacy isn't the one retracting.
Maybe Dileo said something like that 30 years ago. That sure sounds like something from 30 years ago and why not. Who knows. I would say who cares except the article tried to spin it like it applies to today.
And it is true that now the paper got to run the whole negative **** about 'the Jacksons' again because they had an excuse.
If Frank had just said he didn't say it it would have put the article in doubt but by saying it wasn't who said it, Stacy said it was Bob, it still gives the article credibility to those who don't follow it that closely. See what I am saying?

Frank couldn't have said it 30 years ago because he didn't work for Michael that long ago. And Bob Jones hasn't been in Michael's inner circle for like 5 years or something, so what the hell does he know? I agree with you e_c that Frank shouldn't have even talked to Stacy Brown.

Did I say that you cut anything out? Where did I say that? I am lost with that comment. Raving about MJ - well, I did not know that calling MJ "lousy" was "raving" about MJ. So, I approach people who I believe do not agree with me by focusing on what we differ? Wow, I did not know I even do that. Thanks for saying that, that was very judgemental and nice of you to say. It is great that fans feel they "know" someone based on posts/replies from a message board. :)
You didn't say I cut anything out. I think often people are selective if they show comments and cut out the bad ones. I was pointing out that these were the only comments there and they were all good (and it wasn't a fan board.) That is a very positive thing.
And as to the second part....... you've got to admit your collisions are pretty head on.

My point is, why is Frank speaking for Stacy. Just tell the paper he didn't say that to Stacy and let Stacy dig his own way out. It isn't a 'retraction' if Stacy isn't the one retracting.

I agree here. I smell fish. Frank did not sound angry or outraged. Why call Stacey to tell him he didn't say so. Call him out in the media. Why tuck on the 30 years. It doesn't matter that he didn't know MJ then, what I get from it is that he may have said so long ago but not recently. He gave Stacey a way out instead of calling him out as a down-right liar. I just wonder if he is working on a tell all book with Stacey, and may have said some of these to him as part of his book, but stacey took it out of context. Throwing in Bob Jones was just a cover.
I feel that someone is playing dirty. They want back in with MJ or else they are threatening to hurt him. This is what I am seeing in all of this. MJ could have been very angry with his family at some point in his career as we all do sometimes. I am very angry with mine right now. He may have expressed his feelings to Frank. They were very close. I am of the feeling that frank and Stacey are plotting to write a tell all book on MJ. Why else are they phoning each other.:o

It's just a matter of getting them to listen.
exactly wbss. thats what bugs the hell outta me. when some ppl say "u can think hes a lousy person but u CANT ignore his music". that is BULLSH!T. it implies that ppl have good reasons to dislike him yet they cant dislike his music cuz its the best. trash the person, praise the artist kind of thing. these are the real haters in my book.

Roxanne, You cannot make someone like somebody if they do not want to. The point the writer was making is that, 'I cannot make you love MJ or stop you from thinking badly of him, but You cannot deny his talent even if you try,' That was not him speaking badly of Mj, it was him stickng his tongue out at the haters. It is like you saying to someone who hates you, that you don't care what they say about you because you still have more talent that they do. You may want to read the article again, It was in the highest praise of MJ. Really. Shame about the misunderstanding.:)

datsy i didnt read any article. i dont bother reading articles anymore even if they're positive. unless of course they provide news and stuff that i dont know about.
i was talking about a specific comment that someone made and it was posted here.
all im trying to say is that like someone cant deny his talent they cant deny the fact that hes a wonderful great person as well. ppl who deny that are pure evil in my book. thats why they hate/dislike him. a good decent person can only like/love him. if they dont know him then i expect them to not care either way.
like i cant make someone like him if they dont want to i cant also make them recognize his music . they might simply not like his voice or songs or whatever. michaels the best artist ever to me and in my book hes generally the best. to me ppl who dont like or appreciate his music they dont have a clue about what music really is. but theres a lot of ppl out there who dont recognize the artist like some others dont recognize his greatness as a person. so its the same. u cant just say "u can dislike him but u have to like his music". they actually dont. to me it goes the other way around actually. i always say to a friend of mine that its cool shes not into his music as long as she loves him as a person :)

i wouldnt say that after they had insulted me as a person. to me the kindness of ur soul is much more important than any kind of talent or anything else.

How many artist do you know as a person. Most of the people who know MJ only know hom from the tabloids, so how can you judge them for not liking him. They don't come to fan boards to chjeck him out like fans do. They don't have to like him either, to enjoy his music. many artists are indeed lousy human beings. that should not distract from their music or their art. Anyway, I just started a new thread.:)

since they only know him from the tabloids/media they dont know him at all so normally they shouldnt have an opinion on him whatsoever. they shouldnt like nor dislike someone they dont know. if he was a lousy person then yes that comment woulda made sense. i say that kind of thing about artists that are indeed lousy ppl and friends ask me why i listen to them. i say who cares what they are as ppl. i just enjoy their art.

Go and read the article. it was very nice ,honestly. The line was taken out of context and we are arguing over something that doesn't exist. You and the writer are on the same side. He is a big fan.:)

lol dats im not arguing  im just saying how ppl who dont know someone are not entitled to have an opinion about them. thats all. they dont have to love him to bits to listen to his music but they cant hate him and at the same time enjoy his music either.
i know ppl who dont have opinions about him cuz they dont know him and listen to his music. i can also understand how ppl can slightly dislike him based on things they've read or heard about him and listen to his music as well. but to actually hate him and think he sucks as a person yet listen to him is impossible for a sensible person. i listen to artists that i dont like or dont care either way but never to artists that i hate as ppl like eminem, robbie williams.

But I don't smell fish Datsy and I don't want to cast suspicion on Frank. I am just saying I didn't think it worked out well. Maybe I am wrong about that even. Maybe it was good for Frank to point his finger back at the perpetrator. Lets see if Jones comes out and denies it too. That would really be interesting.
And it may well be that Stacy called Frank to try to bribe or trick him into saying something he could use and it obviously didn't work. So did he decide to fabricate something then. Who knows.

I don't think that comment ("even if you think he's a lousy human being") about mike was bad. The person didn't say they thought mike was lousy, they were just saying that even if SOME think that michael is lousy you can’t deny his talent. Lets face it, some ppl don't like mike as a person because of all the lies that the media has said about him. shoot I tend not to like some famous ppl over something that they did, that I didn't agree with. That just natural.
@ bee, you were saying you don't see how someone cannot like a person over something that that person did not do to them personally. I don't agree with that. see what I wrote above^ and it's plenty of times where you hear that a person did this or that and you strongly disagreed with it and that made you not like that person. You don't have to know someone personally to dislike them. You can only go off a person's actions. If you disagree with those action then that might cause you not to like that person, if even if you don't know them personally.
