How do you open torrent and rar files?

Does anybody know how to open torrent and rar files? I have been downloading a few videos but they don't open!:(

RAR is an archive file format. You need WinZip to open it, i. e. to extract the files that are packed into the RAR file.

UTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/) is what I use. The coolest thing about it is that you can choose which files from the torrent you want to download - download a few files and discard the rest. It's also a really simple torrent download program, and easy to use.

Probably, but you'll need to install mac versions of the programs

Torrent files are like links to the real files and you must open them with for example uTorrent or another torrent client. Not meaning to be rude or anything, but next time try to google first.
