What a lovely thought Susie.
Hectic life says you, eh? I wrote the definition on that one. Nope, j/k, but I understand. It's good to know you are around. Thanks for that wonderful quote. It is one of my favorites from Michael. When reading your post I remembered that was the quote put in the box in which I received some bracelets last August.
Nice to see this thread gainin' some momentum. Was about friggin time lol. Toasts with MP and everyone else here cause it's page 600, but since it's Lent imma have a nice big glass of non-alcoholic champaigne (like the ones for kids with giraffes and stuff lol) y'all have whateva u like. :D
No comment on the big hair, the ultra makeup and the huge shoulder pads from the 80s - i was told it's better to shut up when you have nothin nice to say. But then again, they also say you outta shut up and make people think you're an idiot, rather than opening the mouth and proving it. I kinda got this last part wrong, more than once.:cheeky:

Super cute pic Ash, thanks a bunch. Let's put it this way - i know a thing or two about cats lol. Also thanks for them B&W mag scans. I also got quite a few numbers, really great magazine.
Ain't you right, ain't you right? And to further prove the truth of your words, I went and stole some pics from the TII thread.

Moddie, I'm glad you think I didn't post utter nonsense. Today I realized I missed two other songs from that list – The way you love me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWu5lOiLZxQ) and Remember the time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWPmOdjEtxs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWPmOdjEtxs.)).
About the marriage dimension which you spoke about. Take a second look at that I'll be there video I posted yesterday. Most especially at 00:21 and look at Michael's left hand, what he does with his fingers when he sings the word (b)rrring, after the line 'you and I must make a pact'. But then again, maybe i'm just seeing things.
And that is what makes this whole thing so tragic, yet so beautiful. Although it is beyond sad their story couldn't come to that amazing ultimate fruition, it must be comforting for her to know that she was loved by the most wonderful man in the world. As it is with Michael's family, it must also be awful for her. We lost a hero and an inspiration, but she lost THE man of her life. I would hope she finds some solace in the fact that she brought him happiness. God bless her and God bless Michael always.
Love IS the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation. Michael was 1000000% right.
I am pleased that you are pleased...Thank You "all" for your kind words, and for all the lovely photos, youtube links...
Breathtaking~~~

I see it too! It's like he's emhasizing his "ring" finger or something! Cute! Another amazing moment along with IJCSLY. I wish I could see more of this amazing movie. You can tell that he really poured his heart and soul into it. What a sweetie!

MP, thanks for your kind words. Glad I wasn't the only one seeing stuff lol.
This is sooo strange, but since I don't believe in coincidences...Susie I had no idea them lyrics came from the Power of love song. Funniest thing, earlier today I came across a poem by that very title that I wanted to share. It made me think of Michael's Ebony 07 interview, Man in the mirror and Heal the world all in one. I love it.
The power of love – by Helen Steiner Rice
There is no thinking person
who can stand untouched today
And view the world around us
drifting downward to decay
Without feeling deep within them
a silent, unnamed dread,
Wondering how to stem the chaos
that lies frightfully ahead...
But the problems we are facing
cannot humanly be solved
For our diplomatic strategy
only gets us more involved
And our skillful ingenuity,
our technology and science
Can never change a sinful heart
filled with hatred and defiance...
So our problems keep on growing
every hour of every day
As man vainly tries to solve them
in his own self-wilful way...
But man is powerless alone
to clean up the world outside
Until his own polluted soul
is clean and free inside...
For the amazing power of love
is beyond all comprehension
And it alone can heal this world
of its hatred and dissension.
Here is another selection of Michael pics. I know the Venice carnival (as all others actually) is over, but I couldn't help but laugh at the last one, I think it is also Fujon's creation lol.

And now for something completely random. I saw earlier Robbie Williams' new video and the song had an amazingly smart line that struck me – the morning brings a mystery, the evening makes it history. I thought that was sooo cool.
Coming back to the subject of the thread though. Today I also realised I missed another song from that 'hands' theme Butterflies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeaqO_aMWOE). If I keep this up imma discover another song each day lol, I betta stop. Well, in my bestest possible Porky Pig impression imma say 'that'sssss all folks', for now. And remember... LOVE NEVER FAILS.

Since this thread is all about the many reflective thoughts (s) of Mr.Jackson & that Special Ones heart...For whatever reason (s), there certainly seems to be a unique bond that has captured the true meaning of what love is all about...
Below you will find two You Tube links that will always and forever be a definite favorite...
Truly a precious gift from me to each and everyone of you~~~

Ohhhhh, the coincidences! Yeah, those many coincidences were a LOT of fun! LOL I have some that I remember too!
Back to his Off The Wall store day of shopping. We were having a discussion in the thread about the day that I had met him and we were wondering if he went back to his hotel after completing his promotional tour schedule or if he went straight to the airport. Well, one of the things that he bought at the Off The Wall store was that big toy airplane! I was thinking, "Oh! I guess he went to the airport!" LOL
And what about the time that MimiK told Ape, Linda and Summer if they were going to were T-shirts to the London concert with Did MJ Find Love In The Dark printed on them, that they should be green so they could easily be seen. Next thing we knew, MJ went shopping shortly afterwards wearing black pants, a green sports jacket, his fedora, sunglasses and that white mask! Now, whyyyy did he choose to wear green that day of all colors?! LOL
And then there was the time that Linda said she wanted to see him in the leopard print loin cloth and next thing we knew, he was out and about wearing those leopard pants. I guess he wanted to let her know that he had read her post. LOL
Yeahhhh, I think he found out about this thread and was having a good time with it. Hey, it's about love, spirituality and music. Things that he liked. Plus, he used to enjoy having a good laugh, right? He was a prankster. We also had the comedy goin' in here! LOL OMG, there were times when we all were just crackin' up! There was no way he could read some that stuff and not burst out laughin'!
And then there is the time when we were talking about him being in love and Ape said, "Give her the rose already!" that is when MJ's handwritten note appeared online with the beautiful rose!
To be the most famous man in the world, he sure knew how to do very sweet and fun things. Love him...love him...love him.
I was doing a search on here for something. I remember someone describing just what MJ should do at the start of the concerts. He said that he should arrive in a big jet airplane etc etc, basically describing what happened in This Is It (which would have been in the concert). So I tried finding the post again and couldn't but I do distinctly remember that post, just not who posted it.
Anyways I found this. Remember when he went shopping and found that airplane in the antique store. Do you think he had that in mind for the concert at that time? Could there be something to do with this airplane? Some deeper meaning to it? Or is it just an airplane?

Hey, this thing is said of the plane in the extras dvd movie. At the beginning of the show he descends the plane (if I'm not mistaken - Man Light - I found this wonderful idea) and again at the end of the show everyone gets on the plane, Michael comes last. He waved to the audience enters the plane and he takes off... :wild:
I do not remember the name of the person speaking about it in the extras, but I wondered how I would live it all: incredible and spectacular. :clapping:
Michael was always so intelligent, curious and always wanted to see, read and learn more about all things. In my opinion all he did was the result of an inspiration he saw something somewhere and did have inspirations/ideas to create their projects. :punk: So all the things he did were all wonderful and perfect. :wild:
Edit....
Hey, I remembered something and want to share. The other day I was looking at an art book and saw a painting and I thought: "I've seen it somewhere."
http://atuleirus.weblog.com.pt/arquivo/golconde-ReneMagritte-thumb.jpg
Golconde >>> René Magritte paints himself in endless repetition. In trench coat and bowler cap, he becomes a symbol for "everyman", perhaps commenting on the anonymity of city life.
Magritte was a Belgian surrealist artist. He became well known for a number of witty and thought-provoking images. His intended goal for his work was to challenge observers' preconditioned perceptions of reality and force viewers to become hypersensitive to their surroundings. Despite his seeming bougouise lifestyle, his works are extraordinary in their sense of fantasy and surreal reality. Magritte constantly challenged our preconceptions about reality. His works contain extraordinary juxtapositions of ordinary objects or an unusual context that gives new meaning to familiar things. By altering the scale of objects in his paintings, Magritte's work gives an immediate sense of surreal absurdity.

Wow Ashtanga, amazing find there. I see a striking similarity.
About the post I had been trying to find, it was written after the announcement was made for the concerts and pre June 25th, so before any of us knew what was to be expected in the concerts. I assume now that it was probably an insider, or possibly the idea was taken from here and used because it's too much of a coincidence how similar the posts explanation was and what actually happened in TII. Sadly now I can't find it. I do remember being impressed with the idea, though couldn't see how it could be done (nice to see that their imagination worked better than mine :) )
Also thank you so much for the hug and concern. I'm alright. Not as well as could be, but well enough overall :).

Michael was a deeply Spiritual person and I must say that I sense thathe was in contact with his Twin Flame. His most spiritually revealing song is "Speechless" The woman he was singing of was someone whom he had a strong spiritual bond with. In Speechless he say "When I am with you I am in Light" and goes on further to say a when he is with her he is in a "place called hallowed ground". He says that he is speechless in wonder at her Grace and sometimes he is with her and then he is not... He says that there is no Mountain he would not climb just to touch her face....obviously she has been revealed to him in the spirit.
They did not meet at parties or in Houses they only met bathed in Spiritual Light.
In the Invincible Album he sings that........"I want to tear down these walls that separate you and Me". In "This is it" he sings that he is "the light of the World and not a man" He also says that the woman feels like she has known him before and he feel that he has known her for a thousand years. This is still based on the Twin Soul imagery . I can only feel that had he lived they would have met and she would be the opposite of who we would have expected him to marry Very educated and high profile!! yes(they possibly might have) When Michael passed there was a sense of unfinished Business that he still had a lot in store for him in the future " May your latter days be greater than your former"
Yes he loved this Woman and hopefully he has revealed his Spirit to her as they are one person. I sense that she is still with us and I pray that she can fufill Michael's calling as his Soul Twin.
Michael was under great Spiritual attack because had had a strong call of God on his life. If you remember he said that he asked God to make thriller the biggest selling Album of all time nad God granted his wish. He suffered great pain and had he met his Twin his life would have been much easier she would have recognised his calling . "One can put a Thousand to fight but two can put ten thousand to Flight" This is one of the reasons he suffered great pain in his life and never met his Twin Flame. There was too much in the Spiritual and the Physical stacked against him.
God Rest His sweet singing soul!!!!!!

Welcome AfricanQueen, nice to have you among us. What you said there reminded me of the song Heavy Cross – It's a cruel cruel world, to face on your own/ A heavy cross, to carry alone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVgaG-uEfts&feature=related
Btw of songs, another one that I don't remember having been mentioned yet and that relates to the one above is Vision of love by the amazing Mariah Carey - Prayed through the nights/ Felt so alone/ Suffered from alienation/ Carried the weight on my own. I think it's wonderful to think that Michael and his lady were each other's visions of love coming true. Here goes Mariah's performance on Unplugged; the original vid having been her first ever single wasn't excly top; she did say they put a lot of junk in her hair lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iqIH_z31CE
Nowww...how 'bout another set of them lovely pictures featurin' some of that yummy lip bittin' and pouting we all know and adore? I dare you all not to smile at the last one, i double dare ya actually lol.

And since love is the subject matter, here's a great quote by my good ole' C.S. Lewis - Hell is the only place outside of heaven where we can be safe from the dangers of love.
Btw of heaven, a great and most important thing to remember imho is that God IS love and He is a God of love. I'll go ahead and post another reflection from Stormie O'Martian which I hope can be read by anyone and maybe some can find comfort in it.
Lord, I worship You and thank You that You are the God of love. Your love brings healing to me for all the time and ways I have felt unloved in my life. I know that no matter is happening in my life or what will happen in my life, Your love for me will never end.
Hahaha i love those lil smiles!
8701girl, so do i, so do i. I was actually looking for a combo of the two - i use the hair dryer for nails  another one i've always loved, not that it relates to anything, especially with this thread lol, but it's too cute not 2 is :she_devil: Come to think of it, it does relate - aren't we all humans somewhere at the borderline between that and this -? Hopefully that was the only occasion when one of them nasty pieces ever got close to Michael. I don't really hate anything or anyone, but cigarettes and their smoke really get to me, especially when i'm surrounded by so many smokers. Notwithstanding, Michael looks mighty fine in the pic (i wonder what happened to his little finger though, i don't think that's vitiligo). He also looked great doin' that 'smokin' effect in Ghosts, that was sooo cool.
Anybody remember Aretha's hat from last year when she sang for President Obama's inaugural? Well, someone decided it fit Michael foine hahahaha. Even the colors match lol.

Hi Ape! long time no speak. :) I've been offline for so long I almost forgot about this thread :P
No inside insight just from that interview today it was said MJ had a couple girlfriends all at once recently. I just thought him to be much different than that. But hey whatever what do I know? lol
Oh I hadn't seen it. I mostly learn about anything MJ from this thread now. When someone happens to mention something like a song leak or you mentioning this interview; that's how I hear of things. There is just too much to read otherwise and I don't know where to start. Do you have a link to the interview?

Wow Susie, that's so beautiful and so true. Also thanks for them wonderful Josh Groban songs. With the Legolas thing you reminded me that i need to find that ending scene with Aragorn's corronation because it reminds me of a place i need to visit lol. Tolkien and the Oxford gang rule.
I know it's a few days old, but i don't think anybody felt offended at your suggestion the pic with the cigarette was an impersonator. The eyes sure were strickingly similar to Michael's, but you never know. But one thing is true - the whole is more than the sum of the parts, and although some might have looked as Michael on the outside, the man's inner's beauty and his life experience could never be duplicated. I remember during high school we had this guy a few years older who kinda looked like Mike and all the girls would tease him about it until one day he cut his hair and it stopped lol. Never knew his name, i wonder what he's doin now.
I betta stop rambling and return to the subject of the thread. Never been one to engage in much speculation and I ain't about to start now, but i gotta say this - i think we should all be thankful to any and every woman (from flight attendants giving safety instructions, to bunnies shaking their tales at parties lol to these latest women talked about) that has ever brought Michael happiness, in any form and in any amount of time cause Lord only knows the man deserved to be happy. As for the girls the bodyguards mentioned, I would hope they are not heartbroken and can cherish their memories and the time they spent with Michael.

According to bodyguards he had another girlfriend at the same time in years 2007-2009 which indicates that Michael was just flirting, nothing serious. If it was a real love, why to have two of them around the same time? I believe that Ruska and another girl are messed up now because they both think that one of them is a real MJ girlfriend. It is tough for them now to figure out after they heard those news from his bodyguards. What a terrible thing to know.
Honestly, I would not like to be on their place. It would be really painful and heartbreaking.
Well, I just believe in one person: MJ. The most reliable source is it and nobody else. :)

COURAGE
It's curious what takes courage and what doesn't. When I step out
on stage in front of thousands of people, I don't feel that I'm being
brave. It can take much more courage to express true feelings to
one person. When I think of courage, I think of the Cowardly Lion in
The Wizard of Oz. He was always running away from danger. He
often cried and shook with fear. But he was also sharing his real
feelings with those he loved, even though he didn't always like
those feelings.
That takes real courage, the courage to be intimate. Expressing
your feelings is not the same as falling apart in front of someone
else - it's being accepting and true to your heart, whatever it may
say. When you have the courage to be intimate, you know who you
are, and you're willing to let others see that. It's scary, because you
feel so vulnerable, so open to rejection. But with self - acceptance.
the othe kind of courage, the kind heroes show in movies, seems
hollow.
In spite of the risks, the courage to be honest and intimate
opens the way to self - discovery. It offers what we all want, the
promise of love.

A friend of mine, in light of the mentioning of things from the guards, wanted me to share some words and thoughts that came from Michael Jackson himself. (Personally I don't think they said anything too bad. None of us really knows, even after hearing personal accounts from anyone who's met or seen or knows him. Without being him, how can we know what he's done or how he thinks or why he does anything.)
My friend gathered up all the quotes so the credit does not go to me. I'm just copy pasting them into here to share. What is true isn't changed by what others think. So no matter how much we believe we know about him or how much we hear about him, if we are wrong in what we believe then we are wrong. If we are right...we may never know for sure (though perhaps we can have a good idea).
So anyways.. enough of me rambling. Here's some quotes of his that we can take in and hopefully get to know him a bit better.
“Not on purpose (have I been romantic), but not unromantic. I don’t think so. You just be yourself. […] I don’t do that (matchmaking). I’m too shy to do all that stuff. I am a lot like my mother. We used to ask our mother ‘Do you kiss Joseph’? She goes “Don’t ask me these questions’. We go ‘Mother, do you kiss him?’, she goes ‘I don’t want to talk about it […] We don’t talk about it.”
“I believe in it [romance], but I am shy about it. None of us have invited our parents to our weddings. We don’t believe in it. We are too shy. I wouldn’t dare in a million years to have my mother at a wedding of mine. I can’t have myself walking down the aisle and my mother sitting there. […] She would have done the same thing. It’s like private, like mushy stuff. […] I am shy. I don’t know how good I am at [romance] because I’m shy. I’m very different in that way. I have heard guys be really poetic with girls, and ‘Oh, baby, this and that’. I’m not like that. I am like straight to the point and say it simply. […] That’s why it is my job to cast the girl, because it is my job to think they are cute. So I can do it if I really like them, like some of the girls you see in my videos. I have cast them because I really liked them and it caused a problem afterwards because they start to really like me and I don’t want to get that serious, and it becomes a problem sometimes. […] Some of them follow me around the world and it is so hard. [But I don’t tell them directly], because it would hurt them so much.”
“[Lady Diana] was classy and sincerely cared about people and children and the plight of what was going on in the world. She didn’t do it for show. […] [She was] very feminine and classy. She was my type for sure, and I don’t like most girls. There are very few I like who fit the mold. It takes a very special mold to make me happy and she was one of them. For sure.”
“It takes a lot to find a mirror image. People always say that opposites attract and I think that is true, as well. But I want somebody who is a lot like me, who has the same interests and who wants to help and they gotta go to hospitals with me and care […]
“I have never asked a girl out in my life. I can’t ask a girl out. […] Brooke Shields asked me out every time you saw us out together. It was her idea to go out and do it every time. I sincerely liked Brooke Shields too. I liked her a lot. My first girlfriend, Tatum O’Neil…I was sixteen, she was thirteen. And was I naïve. She wanted to do everything and I didn’t want to have sex at all, because there were a lot of values associated with being a Jehova’s Witness. I said ‘Are you crazy?’ One of those was to be kind to everyone. When I held Tatum’s hand it was just magic, better than anything, kissing her, anything. Her, Ryan O’Neil and myself went to this club and were watching a band and underneath the table she was holding my hand and I was melting. It was magical. There were fireworks going on. It was all I needed. But that means nothing to kids today. She grew up too fast. She wasn’t into innocence, and I love that.”
“Now Brooke Shields, she was one of the loves of my life. We dated a lot. Her pictures were all over my walls and mirrors. […] She was classy. We got one encounter when she got real intimate and I chickened out. And I shouldn’t have.”
“I find it harder to tell (innocence) with women, because they’re so smooth. But with men, I can usually tell, because they’re more open and like puppies, while girls are more like cats. You know how if you’ve been on vacation and get home and a puppy is all over you, while with a cat, it’s ‘Hey, I don’t need you. You walk over to me and pick me up.’ They give you attitude. They’ll walk right by you even though they haven’t seen you in three months. Women are very smart”.
“I think going away is good. Like they say, ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I totally believe in it. Going away is really important. I don’t understand how people can be together all day with each other and be totally fine. […]”
“ the ones who were classy and quiet and not into all the sex and all the craziness because I’m not into that. […] I don’t understand a lot of things that go on in relationships and I don’t know if I ever will. I think that is what has hurt me in my relationships, because I don’t understand how people do some of the things they do. Mean things and vulgar things with their bodies. I don’t understand it and it has hurt my relationships. [For me love is something] very pure. It shocked me some of the things.”
“[The women] I have had are jealous of the children. All of them. They get jealous of their own kids and start competing with them. That rubs me in a bad way. I haven’t found it [women who want to play]. I think more guys are more apt to goof off. Even when they’re much older, their thirties, and a woman will come in and say ‘What are you doing? Don’t do that. Are you crazy?”
“It is a rarity [finding women who collect comics]. If I find one, I will go nuts. Especially, if she has those qualities and is beautiful inside. It would be a home run for me.”
“If the person is completely sincere […] who would read to [the children] and teach them and give them the right values and teach them that there’s no difference and that we are all the same people. […] I don’t like the women who are always saying “my nails need to be done. I have to do my toes. I need a manicure.” I hate all that. I like it when girls are a little bit more tomboyish. If they wrestle, climb a tree…I love that. It is sexier to me. I like class, though. Class is everything.”
“It is hard because the women today can do a good job of faking it. I mean a real good job. They are so smooth. Look in the Bible. Women have taken the most powerful men down to nothing because of what is between their legs. Samson, nobody could cut his hair, and he had sex with Delilah.”
“Take me to Disneyland. Take me to where the magic is.”
“Even when married to those women that I was married to, I’d go to bed hurting. I was hurting. I was crying last night as I went to sleep and I didn’t sleep good last night. And I cry, because I feel this….And I’m not trying, I’m telling you the honest truth and if you don’t believe you can ask Frank (Cascio). Frank knew how I was hurting. I just was feeling all the pain of the children who suffer and I was hurting so much. That’s why I was trying to reach any child I knew who had pain. […] I was trying to like, calling, dialing and I woke up the first thing, the first person I called was (a little sick girl’s) house and she had gone already. It hurts me. But I think that’s where my real love comes from. If I can help in that way, I’m fine and I don’t need the other [romantic love]. [I]You now, if I meet some girl somewhere and I think she’s beautiful, which I see a lot of them, that’s great. I mean, I’ll go on a date or something. Nothing wrong with that.. […] I’m not easy to live with in that way for a wife. I’m not easy and I know I’m not easy. Because I give all my time to someone else. I give it to children, I give it to somebody sick somewhere, to the music. And women want to be the center. […] And, you know, I feel that’s my, that’s my mission. I have to do it. like a Mother Theresa or a Lady Diana or..That would be great. It would be perfect.”
“It’s hard. That’s why it’s hard, it’s hard for me. It’s hard. It’s not easy for celebrities to be married.”
“I’m in love with innocence , that’s what I’m in love with. That’s why I love children so much. Innocence is God. To be that innocent and to approach things with such a sweet outlook on life…with truly just sweet…Where a kid will walk around the house and you’ll go ‘What are you doing?’ and they answer ‘I don’t know, playing’. It’s so sweet, I love that. […] One kid is screaming in the wind because he is feeling so good. He is just screaming to be screaming. I [I]love that. Romance. Romance.”
“[Are] romance and love two different things? That’s why I’m getting confused. I see romance as something that is longed for. You long for that out of a stage. […] [Children] teach you to be loving and sweet and they teach us in that way…They give everybody a chance and I teach Prince and Paris to love everybody.”
‘When a lot of adults come to me, they look at me and they are checking out what you are wearing and who you are with. Then once they speak to me and they see that I’m just a simple person who wants to be a friend their heart melts. I see it.”
“Just be yourself, be like a child. Be innocent. Be the way you were when you were born.”
“With the pain and arrows that people have shot at me, nobody else would have been able to take it. They would have probably committed suicide by now…they would have become a drunk. Because they have been very cruel and rude to me. And if they don’t think I hear it and see it, I do. I do. It’s been the children. I’m holding on for them, or else I wouldn’t have made it. I really wouldn’t have made it.”

This is the book of Rabbi. (I finished reading a few weeks ago. I read the online version without the comments of Rabbi.)
Thanks Ape. :) This post shows the thoughts of love and the essence of Michael.
This is MJ.
P.S. If anyone was curious to read the book and want to link the online version (without the comments of Rabbi), I have the link. :)
I actually bought that book. I don't mind his comments because it shows how some people think and how some misunderstand Michael. I still haven't finished the book though, so I guess sometimes I mind the comments. He doesn't always misunderstand, but sometimes you just gotta shake your head at how he interprets things said by MJ. I wish Shmuley would have released it as a tape set, if it really is as he said that MJ wanted him to share this stuff. I wish we could have heard it directly from the tapes to hear the inflection in his voice and all that. So much gets lost when transcribed to paper.

Yes, it would be really interesting to hear Michael say all these things.
Well, I do not know what the Rabbi said in comments, but told me that things were not pleasant, so I did not buy the book. So, I have no opinion about it.
But what really matters is all that was said by Michael. Reading this book made me know much Michael and I managed to make even more enchanted and in love with the incredible human being and beautiful in every way he always was. Everything Michael said comes from his soul and your heart, you really feel it while reading the book. I love Michael even more after this book. (Yes, I can still love him more each day.)
In my opinion, all fans should read all these wonderful and beautiful things said by Michael.

Ash - you took the words outta my mouth, or my hands rather. The quotes are from that so-called rabbi's book. That reminds me of the fact it was Lully who gave me the link to the bull-free version of the book and in the morning i forgot to say hi to her, so... hi Lully :)
Ape, that last quote is so heartbreakingly true, you can only feel for the man; it's really mind boggling when you think about it - the lengths to which people went to hurt him and the example of character, dignity and strength he gave in front of all of that adversity is nothing short of extraordinary.
And that is exactly why i said the man's life experience can never be duplicated. Nobody, and i mean no-friggin-anybody in human history has known the heights or the lows of human nature quite like Michael and he dealt with it all - be it triumph or mendacity-filled shots at his good name - with the same innocence and splendor only a pure soul like his could have. And that is why i have always been and always will be so very, very, very proud of him.

Hi Ape...thanks for posting those quotes...I think Michael would have loved a woman who wasn't "high maintenance", who gave to others including God above, herself in service. Michael really isnt that hard to understand. He wanted someone pure, innocent and self-sacrificing....I just wished he could have found her before the end...

I just wanted to add...how could anyone be jealous of children, especially theirs? I beam with pride with all of the things my daughter has done. She just found out that one of her paintings is going to be shown at an art gallery nearby. I continue to be amazed by my own child's abilities. I don't have a jealous bone in my body when it comes to kids. Kids are very important. And every child needs a chance at life and happiness....so I just can't fathom that quote by MJ...unless the women he's dated are jealous of the attention he gave to the children he's helped? And that is one hell of a selfish woman if that's the case...one that doesn't deserve a relationship with MJ. She should have known just how important those children were to MJ!

The question is did he need all those women around him trying to pull his hair, scratching his arms, pulling out his watches? Why ppl think that he was happy to have that many women being obsessed with him and why we have to be thankful about this including “bunnies shaking their tales”? Did he need them to express their love that way? I think that just some women have no limits imo. Did he need ppl 24/7 watching him, hanging around in groupies? I am not quite understand it because I was born in a different culture where we did not have that kind of celebrity cult and to find out about western culture from this point of view was a real big deal for me.
All those tabloids and fans around him constantly 24/7 look just wild ,out of control. Michael did not have a tiny chance to have his own life, to meet ppl in normal circumstances, to talk to them normally. All those women who were waiting for him beside back stage doors, just to touch him or to talk to him, how crazy is that? Why we have to be happy for all those out of control actions girls did thinking that they make him happy? Do you really think he was happy to have all of this around him? I do not really get it.
He even says (from Ape post):Some of them follow me around the world and it is so hard. , because it would hurt them so much.”
Poor guy even could not say to them just to leave him alone. [B]He was such a pure soul.
Well, ppl used to buy tickets, and go watch him performing. Fine, he is a great artist, the best entertainer ever. Why just not to go home after show and live your own life, have fun with the person who is evailable for you and let him live his own? This is why tabloids made their dirty money and made his life miserable, because ppl never left him alone.
Asedora, the reason why i brought up the flight attendants and the bunnies was related to Michael finding enjoyment in them, not the other way around. I know he said/expressed those things himself, the flight attendants thing being obvious even in the movie where he mimics their hand movements. I think that's very sweet actually and demonstrates that he was just a regular man who loved women, nothing wrong with that. It ain't like any flight attendant that ever served him jumped on him or anything.
You know how guys are, they become fascinated with the 'weirdest' things we can imagine; it might be something as irrelevant as some hand movement or the way a certain piece of clothing fits or some awkward moment which may seem endearing and cute to them, while on the other hand we might be acting all high and mighty and they couldn't give a damn and ask why it took so long to change for only that lol. I'm just sayin'...
But returning to the argument before, that is why i said in any form and for any amount of time. Those women, for however briefly, provided him with some sort of enjoyment (simply watching them), that is why i think we should be thankful - from them to the ones who have captured his heart, and...as strange as this sounds, even those who have ended up breaking it, because i am sure there were moments of joy even in those cases.
Now...about the out of control girls that's another issue and i can only imagine how Michael coped with the gargantuan degree of fame and adulation he had reached. It's hard enough for us common folk and at times we want to escape and get away from anyone and everything; multiply that by a gazillion and you probably can have a clearer picture of what he went through. Watching Stranger in Moscow which contains some of the most amazing lyrics ('here abandoned in my fame, Armageddon of the brain') and most haunting melody ever and the ocean of people in Will you be there only reinforces the paradox which was Michael's life - the most famous man on earth being so dreadfully alone, especially until his children were born.
Hard as i might try, I don't think i can really imagine what he went through; the man was a monument of strength and courage. The good Lord knew what He did when He made Michael, He knew what he would endure so he made him strong enough to withstand it all. Y'all know how wood comes in different essences, right? Well, he molded Michael from the strongest of them (from his father), but at the same time the gentlest (from his mother) and that is what made him so amazing.
What we certainly can agree on is that he was such a pure and beautiful soul who deserved nothing but sheer and continuous happiness and unfortunately he didn't always find it.
I beam with pride with all of the things my daughter has done. She just found out that one of her paintings is going to be shown at an art gallery nearby. I continue to be amazed by my own child's abilities.

Well, I did not want to be involved in this kind of discussion anymore but I think I have to do it for the last time because my point of view is very different and I wish to explain myself better.
Michael expressed himself in many ways regarding women’s behavior which includes Billie Jean and Dirty Diana lyrics plus he clearly explained himself in his book Moonwalker and Rabbi Shmuley book making negative remarks about some women’s behavior.
I can believe that he might be thankful for flight attendants because they were doing their job only and their attitude did not go overboard.
Like I said before I was raised in different culture, more traditional and it is difficult for me to understand and accept many things I faced here regarding relationships between men and women. I have been taught that men have go after women , but not all way around. Yes, women still can give a sign that she is sort of interested but nothing more than that. Maybe it changes now, I do not know.
When I moved to North America I got sort of culture shock at this point when I found out that it is Ok if woman invites man for cup of coffee, on a date etc. It was beyond my understanding. I could not accept how it was possible for a young teen girl go after guys, be rejected after all and walk away with no problem.
I would not be able to respect myself if it once happened to me. I witnessed many examples like that living here. It was hard for me to understand this part of emancipation process. Now I used to it but I have never accepted it.
I am not saying that all women here chasing guys but I it is in the air and it considered to be normal. Maybe I am too old fashioned person? I do not know. I think that some women, stalkers, crazy fans created walls around Michael watching him 24/7 and a poor guy could not have a normal life. This is why tabloids found the way to make money from this kind of ppl’s attitude and made Michaels’ life much harder.
No matter what, Michael was still a man and those women saw him mostly like a man (creative and talented one) and were chasing him around the world because they wanted to get his attention, to get their chance to be close to him.
If they did not go crazy the situation would turn all way around and Michael could get his sweet chance to go after women himself which is VERY normal for men to do from even genetic point of view.
Besides, Michael was very traditional man and he used to like traditional things. I do not see him being fascinated with “the weirdest things we can imagine”. At least whatever he said about himself sounds like a very traditional way of thinking. If he liked watching flight attendants it just proves the fact that the man loved traditional things but not “weird”, all way around.
It is a well known fact that men are active side and women are passive side. Men are the Sun (active) and women are the Moon (passive). This is how God created us. Maybe we have to be thankful for women who did not bother him at all and gave him a tiny chance to be a man? Maybe I am going too deep talking about some difference between traditional and modern societies. I really did not want to go that far but I think a look from another side could be interesting for some.
Well, like I said everybody is different. It is my personal opinion about this situation.
Asedora, I am sure everybody appreciates the differing cultural interpretations and diversity is always welcome. Don't you ever feel you cannot and should not express your views especially through the prism of your upbringing and your experience. :flowers: Cultural heritage is very important and we all come with certain perceptions and traditions and the circumstances of life can take us in the most unlikely of places. The coming together of peoples, ideas and cultures with their own identity, but also united by the universality of certain values is what makes this world of ours so beautiful.
You also bring about a very interesting idea there about the women who didn't bother Michael and let him be a man - i think that's a very sweet thought and you are right, we ought to be thankful for them as well.
Susie, I am afraid that link you posted leads only to youtube.com/videos. I am sure my browers acting funky lately aren't the only ones to blame, but then again maybe they are.

Thank you. Yes, they are hurting. And it hurts to see the discrimination by patients when they are taking care of them in the hospital. I feel so bad for what they have to go through. About the discrimination? I see it. I see racial bias with some patients. Some patients are very rude to the Haitian aides, and never give me a problem when I go in. Linda, that's terrible. It's an awful state of affairs where people still judge others by the color of their skin instead of character. Goes to show we haven't evolved as much as we would like to think...You have every right and duty even, if i may say so, to call anybody out about any injustice you witness. God bless you.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, those aren't just words pertaining to an amazing human being (and nope, for once, i ain't talking about Michael, but dr.King rather), they are a reality. If only we would learn......... Lord help us, cause we sure need His assistance in this wretched, yet beautiful world of ours which can still be heavenly.
Susie was mentioning earlier Michael's search for someone accepting him only for him. Isn't that what any man or woman looks for in this journey called life? Someone to depend on and to help at the same time, someone who will accept us in spite of flaws of character, physical imperfections and dark nights of the soul? Goes to show he was a just another human being, like the rest of us mere mortals. The search for unconditional love knows no boundaries, race, gender, era of history, fortune, degree of fame or lackthereof.
It's a terrible thing to be defined by possessions, exterior or by what we do, so as marvelous and as brilliant an artist Michael was (THE greatest ever), i would imagine he must have wanted to be appreciated for what made him the wonderful human being he truly was - a kind soul filled with love, often bruised and abused by others, but never giving up on the virtues and the truth of love.

If only we would learn......... Lord help us, cause we sure need His assistance in this wretched, yet beautiful world of ours which can still be heavenly.
Susie was mentioning earlier
Michael's search for someone accepting him only for him.
It's a terrible thing to be defined by possessions, exterior or by what we do, so as marvelous and as brilliant an artist Michael was (THE greatest ever), i would imagine he must have
wanted to be appreciated for what made him the wonderful human being he truly was - a kind soul filled with love,
often bruised and abused by others, but
never giving up on the virtues and the truth of love.

Linda, that's terrible. It's an awful state of affairs where people still judge others by the color of their skin instead of character. Thanks guys. I had to get that off my chest. I also talked to the nurse manager about this. I can't change patient's minds. One patient's mother actually told me that she didn't want "those people" (the Haitians) in Boston for medical treatment, because they'd bring all sorts of strange diseases with them. This is right after the earthquake happened. So I turned to the woman, and said "So C-difficile is that much better? MRSA is better than what they may have? VRE is better?" I was so disgusted with her attitude. I told her that the Haitian people have every right to come to Boston to seek medical treatment, especially if many have life-threatening illnesses!! What is wrong with some people?
For those who do not know - MRSA stands for Methicillin Resistant Staphlococcus Aereus. VRE is Varicella Resistant Enterobacteria. Both are very serious infections. And we have them here in this country. The very next time some patient's family member gets all high and mighty about "our US diseases" versus "Theirs" I am going to read them the riot act. Seriously!

This alone makes me so incredibly sad. He had somewhere to turn - he just needed to ask. He was made to be so out of touch with people, it wasn't funny. I mean, he had his life, his incredible army of people surrounding him from everyone else - it made him so desperately alone. But he wasn't alone - we all loved him so much!!
I think michael felt like he didnt wanna be a burden for ppl with his problems and properly felt it was best that he dealt with it.
But i do wish he asked for help :(

Like some of you said before...I also believe that Michael would be here if he had someone special.I find it so heartbreaking that such a wonderfull man was so lonely. Was he so afraid to trust someone? Probably yes and I don"t blame him for that. But there are women that could love him for what he is, not for fame and money.I know I would send them all to hell and take care of my man, I would do anything for him.
Someone once said; he had his children.Yes, he did. But I can"t help thinking....when the day was over and kids were safe in their beds, what was he thinking...how he felt...being alone in his room, not able to sleep...omg, he needed someone so badly. To hold his hand and talk to him.And love him no matter what. I could just cry now.

Ian Halperin - this guy went on TV the day after the press conference and called Michael a pathological liar. He may not be on any payroll directly to do with Michael but his intentions are far from pure. I've been through and removed all posts in this thread quoting his made up accusations and claims. It pains me to see him given credibility. With that said, carry on.

I think that, like Michael himself, the relationship with his soul mate is both simple yet complicated at the same time.
I think that what they wanted was so simple: just to be loved and to give love in return, just like everybody else, but like one poster put it one time, the love has "too much power" - and therein lies the problem. Because of this "power," they have had to endure many battles. But, in the end, all they really wanted was love.

 :D
Just wanted to add sonething..
There was a thread about the song Joy, which MJ wrote. The thing is, I don't know if he wrote the lyrics, but the first verse goes like this:
Can't forget the day
That she walked into my life
It was just the kind of thing
That was so right on time
After all the love changes
My heart had locked the door
Then that girl released her magic
And made me love once more, ooh
what do you all think...? Another MJ song that fits in with the others.. right?
Look at the full lyrics! :wild:
Can't forget the day
That she walked into my life
It was just the kind of thing
That was so right on time
After all the love changes
My heart had locked the door
Then that girl released her magic
She made me love once more, ooh
Like the warm rays of the sun
Her sweet love came shining down on me, oh
All at once turned my life around
And with one kiss, she set me free
She's given me joy, joy, joy
That girl, she brings me joy
She's given me joy, joy, joy
Girl you're my joy, yeah
Goodbye loneliness
And so long to my heartache
Now that joy has taken over
And decided to stay
Her love lifts me up
Like no other love before
With every beat of my heart
I'm hold, holding on, yeah
Just look what she's done for me
She's erased all the sadness away, oh
I can never repay the deed
Cuz she keeps lovin' me more and more
She's given me joy, joy, joy
That girl, she brings me joy
She's given me joy, joy, joy
Girl you're my joy
She's given me...
Check one, check two
I can't hold back, I'm in love with you
Check one, check two
There's nothing in the world
that I won't do for you
Check one, check two
Can't hold back, I'm in love with you
Check one, check two
That girl
She's given me joy, joy, joy
Oh girl, I love the way you're lovin' me
She's given me joy joy joy
Yeah
That girl, she's given me joy, joy, joy
Oh girl, said I love the way you're lovin' me
She's given me joy, joy, joy
Yeah, girl you're my joy (Joy)

Here, here - that's very good, i totally agree with you about the research and study; i know it may not always seem so lol, don't wanna go into that any further though cause it would be too o/t. Nice to hear about those two pages. Then it was mere coincidence cause, as i said, that was the quote of the day on biblegateway.com :flowers: God bless :)
Returning to the subject of the thread now - I remember that long time ago, it might have been MP, i'm not sure, but it was proposed as idea that maybe that new/old love that Michael had found was an answer to the pain in Who is it and I thought that maybe the question in Who is it? was answered by This is it; I know that by the 'it' in Who is it Michael meant to other guy, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. It may not always be comfortable for someone to be the cure for the 'disease' brought about by others, but one would have to live in complete isolation to not have some sort of baggage when entering into a relationship, except, of course, the very first one.
We all are individuals and we like to be cherished as such and comparisons (especially when it comes to ex's) can be annoying, but human beings are imperfect and at the end of the day is only natural for some to relate to the past and project onto new realities the fears and the pains associated with other experiences. The problem arises when some, because of previous failures, disappointments and disenchantments give up all together on the idea of love; but that's oh so very and tragically wrong (for those who feel that way) cause it ain't about what we lost, or what was taken from us, but about the love we can still give.
What I also believe is wrong is to put such a huge burdain on someone as to have your whole life revolving around them; I actually think that is very demanding on the other person – they will never be able to live up to all the expectations and that is why i've always had a problem with one lyric in I just can't stop loving you – my life ain't worth living if I can't be with you. I know it's an expression for the beatitude which is love, but what about the times when the impossible is a reality, what about people without anybody? Life is worth living NO MATTER WHAT. Having said that, life gets even more worthwhile when you have someone to lend a hand to in return for grace, as my boys from U2 said :P or someone who cares enough to scold, as Michael said.
It can be magical to have someone quietly enter the house so you can't hear him while you're in the kitchen all dressed up/down (whoever you view such things) in your apron cooking his favorite dish and as he walks in on you sippin' on the food he gently grabs you by the waist and gives you a kiss. I know nowadays young girls are taught that success is measured in diplommas and career advancement and cooking is such an 18th century occupation, but I disagree. I feel we (and by this I mean not only women, but people in general) lost our moral and social compass. In our quest for equality, we might have lost track. We might have been emancipated, but maybe in the process, somewhere along the way, we forgot how to be women and how to appreciate men at their true value – they aren't enemies that need to be competed against, but partners to build families with and try to make a better world.

True Lily..
By the way, can't wait till you write another one of your wonderful posts.. the ones that give hope in the dark.. :flowers:
Thank you mysterygirl7. :)
I'm not sure what to write in here anymore. I think lyrics can have such a broad interpretation and dual meaning that unless the answer comes from the creator, we will never know. I mean who would of thought "Got to Get You Into My Life" by the Beatles was about smoking pot. I learned something new yesterday LOL. Oh well.....
Not a day goes by that I don't think about how Michael impacted my life in some way, it could be hearing one of his songs, seeing something that triggers remembering his messages.....but the thing is, I didn't know him personally, he was a part of my life, he wasn't my life. I told someone that reached out and spoke to me privately in June that love never dies, it is the one thing that will always be forever in our heart. I love Michael, the creative artist and humanitarian. I want to remember all of the positive things he taught and gifted us with and move past my anger, disgust, and dwelling on things that can never be changed. Each moment that I stopped living since then is lost now and what if I missed out on creating for myself beautiful memories by not sharing of myself and living life to it's fullest just as he taught us to do? I choose to live just as I did prior to June, mindfully, meaningfully and from my heart.
I hope that everyone can find their joy and happiness in life and I hope that people continue to live and share with others what we were all born with, the pure and innocent love that is within each one of our hearts. :)

Interesting how Janets new song "Nothing" sounds very Michael-like, lyrically and vocally? :music:
I haven't heard Janet's new song. I guess I'll have to go search it up to hear. Or maybe some day I could turn on the radio and listen. It's probably playing there right?
Thank you for sharing what you had in your post about living your life from your heart and meaningfully. I think that's exactly how we should. Michael had many gifts to share with us and I think the most important gift was his message of love for the world and love for others. It may not have been in every song he sang, but it was in a great many and in many things he said and how he lived. I think that is what drew so many of us to him and what many of us fell in love with about him as a human being. He genuinely cares. It's beautiful.
So.. I guess this kind of goes along the same topic. I'm going to be going on a hunger strike to help raise funds to feed hungry children. I posted it in the world vision thread of Susan's (sdeidjs). http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81722&page=3 here. If anyone can donate and would like to, it goes through world vision to hungry children. "For every $75 dollars raised , 250 children will receive nutritional lunches for two months".
Also to update my friends in here in case you may not see, since I mostly post in this thread and rarely elsewhere, my movie will have it's world premiere on September 17th 2010. From there I don't know what happens. There is more information to come but that's all I know so far. This is the thread if you'd like to read more about it: http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78981
Thank you to anyone who is following and for the support you've all shown me regarding the movie (and otherwise. I remember many prayers when I needed them most from some wonderful kind people from this thread who I am proud to consider as friends). Some of the pain I felt during those times when I most needed prayer is seen through my acting in this movie as I used those memories to draw my emotion from. I guess that is a lot to share but I felt I should. Those were some deep deep valleys I was in and your prayers lifted me up out of them. So thank you all for that. I wish we all didn't have to endure this new pain (it still feels so new). I wish I could have been here for everyone the same as you had for me, but I ended up withdrawing from here more than anything. It's just hard to understand.
I really hope that we'll always share our love of Michael together, no matter where we all are...and not a superficial love for a celebrity, but a love of the wonderful man he was to us and the beauty he emitted and brought out of each of us. I'm always reminded of his story of the thirsty fish.
If I can find it online, I'll share it here later.

You are perfectly right about Michael's most important gift - he truly loved and he truly cared, which was amazing, given how the world and people treated him so many times.
Don't even worry bout nothing, we all do what we can and when we can, it's all cool. I can only speak for myself and say how proud i am to call you my friend, but i'm sure others feel the same way :)
The cause you are fighting for is more than worthwhile, but please take care with that hunger strike, your children need you. There must be ways to help others without hurting the self in the process...please take care. God bless you.

I miss you Michael..... :(
:) Thank you Shabuya and Ashtanga. Ash, if you want to participate, you can donate by pressing the donate button on the world vision page and then follow the instructions. If you want to participate in the fast/hunger strike you can contact Jordan, who is the one who started it and express your interest in participating. You pick the amount of time you'll fast for (you do get to have fruit or vegetable juices, but no solid foods) and he designates the time you'll do it which I don't believe there is anyone going after me yet.
Shabuya, I'll be alright. It's not going to be easy but it will give me more of an idea of what they go through without food and still going to school to learn, but for them, they are young and still have growing bodies so it would be so much more difficult.
It's easy to get overwhelmed with wanting to help out in so many areas, there is so much to get passionate about and so much injustice in the world that it's hard to know where to focus your passions or even feel that you can make a difference. Sometimes it feels you're nothing but a drop of water in the ocean, but there have been many times when individuals have made a difference. Michael Jackson is one such individual. I don't know if he managed to find someone to love and the love of that one, but I do know that we all fell in love with the wonderful man he always was. We all have potential to make a difference in this world. It may not reach all corners of the earth, but as long as it reaches further than just yourself, you will be making a difference.
I think that is one reason so many women wanted to give him love and be the love in his life to make a difference in his, because he made a difference to so many. Sometimes we felt it was the only way to give back to him. To be able to personally touch him in a way that made a difference to his life and in his heart because he touched ours, and many more. We don't have to necessarily give directly to him to pay him back for his kindness and love, we can 'pay it forward' as the saying goes.
When it can go out to reach others, that is when we can be a droplet of water in the ocean that does more than just disappear amid the rest of the water. We become the drop that makes a ripple that continues on to reach way beyond what we could reach on our own. That's when we make the biggest difference and when we all become that ripple, we can cause a Tsunami of difference, but instead of destruction, we can leave in our wake, a path of peace and hope and helping hands. So even when it feels like such a small thing to do, it can make the needed difference.

Taroa, here is a website that can really help if you need to translate your feelings to English when you feel you can't express well enough directly in English. Write out your feelings in your native language and then translate to English to post if you'd like.

Oh my goodness. 24 DAYS??? How can you? and just in the middle of it? Are you alright? I've never done anything more than a day and I get so hungry so I'm nervous, but determined. 72 hours is nothing in the big scheme of things but a month..wow. I wasn't sure I read that right. To APE: Am I all right? *laughs* Yes. I know of several who have done extended fasts, 30, 40 day fasts, and their health remained fine. My friend was telling me the other day she wished her husband would go on another fast because he always says while fasting he feels the best he's ever felt and he is in a good mood throughout. Haha.
You can do this, Ape. I never could do more than one day before either, but I knew I had to do this, and like I said, God has given me the grace. When I go to bed I am so happy and thankful to Him for helping me do it for yet another day. I do get cold in the evening and I was warned of that, so I do allow myself a warm drink to warm me up, like I'll heat apple of pear juice, or I have these vegan vegetable bouillons, with no salt added, that I'll add to 2 cups boiling water, or I'll even have 1 cup of caffeine free tea with a little milk. I just get sooo cold. The reason why I go ahead and add some milk is because I have read one gal's account that explained when those that are fasting for long periods of time need to maintain enough energy to go to work...for life does not stop while you are fasting...a glass of non-fat milk is helpful. I never have a whole glass, but I do have it in the tea. And I warm right up.
What I was worried that I'd have trouble with is the preparing of food/meals for others, but I am finding I can do that fine...the temptation is not too great. Like I say, life doesn't stop. I had to, a week ago, help with my son's school and clean some classrooms. That can be fairly physical, so I gulped beforehand a few ounces of a protein enriched drink just to give me the needed boost. I wanted to fulfil my obligation to them for I was scheduled to do that. There are times when I feel very, very tired. But then I just drink some juice and go to bed early.
So, there ya are. Can you let me know when you will be on it and I'll pray for you during that time?
PS: Sdeidjs, funny you should post that song, I was just earlier today getting into that trap of thinking of some "what if's" about my past and then ended my daydreaming with my saying to myself...but that Butterfly Effect!!!...dangerous to try to change the past...
How sweet is THAT...!

Hey Ape, queen g and Justus!:wild: I'm so happy to see you guys back! Seeing the old pack forming again has really lifted my spirits!
I want to wish all of you the best of luck with all of your projects - especially the fasting! I periodically fast myself and know how hard it can be. I usually do a three day complete fast (no food, just water). I have really wanted to try a 21 day Daniel fast and even a 40 day fast, but I haven't been able to get very far. I recently attempted a "Daniel" fast and decided I just couldn't do it under the circumstances. Maybe right now isn't the right time for me for that, but I'm sure I will know when it is right.
Ape, don't worry, you will get through this, and the more you do it, the easier it will become. I think your body gets used to it after some point. Just make sure you take the necessary precautions and listen to your body if something doesn't seem right and make the necessary adjustments if need be. Your safety is number one!
And queen, many kudos to YOU!:clapping: You are doing so well! I so admire you! Keep up the good work! Is this fast making you feel better physically?:) You sound so upbeat!
And Justus, thanks for reminding me that "With God, ALL things are possible." I don't think I can be reminded of that enough!
PS: Sdeidjs, funny you should post that song, I was just earlier today getting into that trap of thinking of some "what if's" about my past and then ended my daydreaming with my saying to myself...but that Butterfly Effect!!!...dangerous to try to change the past...
Ha!Ha! Ever see that movie, Frequency with James Caviezel? It's sorta like that. In it he experiences some tragedies and goes back to the past to change certain circumstances to try to keep those tragedies from happening in the future and is successful at keeping those things from happening, but ends up causing other unfortunate things to happen because of the changed circumstances! Aaaargh!!! Before seeing that movie I too had wanted to do the same thing, but after seeing it, I thought I'd better leave well enough alone! I've done enough damage! lol!
Love Yas!

Ape you should listen to the song "Make a Wave" from the Disney movie "Oceans" coming out on Earth Day, the lyrics have a beautiful message and are similar to how you feel. :)
..."Just a pebble in the water, can set the sea in motion
A simple act of kindness, can stir the widest ocean".....
And as I told you in rep yesterday, you should be very proud of yourself. You are making a difference by living and sharing with others what is in your heart. Congratulations on everything you're doing. :flowers:

Just stoppin' by to "check in." I hope you are all doin' well, and I wish to send some warmth your way. :)
Ape, good for you that you are doing this Hunger Strike thing for such a good cause! I know you can do it! Coincidentally, for different reasons, though, I am in the middle of an extended fast myself. I'm on day 24, allowing myself fruit and veg juices along with water only. It's hard, but can be done. I just ask God for His grace to help me be able to do it each day, and He generously has come through for me.
So I want to encourage you, and suggest you view it like a little adventure and see what God does for you, personally, through it. I know He will bless you, Ape, for the effort and for the giving heart in you that is behind it.:flowers:
Everyone else... *waves*...take care and keep loving and appreciating Michael. And keep seeking what's real and what's true and what's pure.

*Waves back with the arms all stretched out* :cheeky: Am i glad to see you??? Know what? A few days ago i was thinking of you and was going to ask if anyone knew where u had gone missing and here you are now :) Wowww at your fasting, amazing really.
Susie, thanx for them vids, inspirational, as always. I guess i'll have to borrow 'your' smiley :punk: hahahaa.
And since Justus rightfully reminded us that with God all things are possible, thanks for that btw, I'd like to wish all those who celebrate a very Happy Easter. I know it's early, but i am not be around for a while.

We have so many animal lovers up in here so i thought this particular symbol of Christ and His Passion was most appropriate.

Well, in that case then I think we really need to send out a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Jackson and to add this particular reason to all the other ones he has given us over the years to be grateful to him for; we truly are in his debt for sharing with all of us here and with the entire world his grace and his God-given talent.
Ash, them pictures are absolutely precious, that doggie is beyond adorable, bless his ears lol.
Here's something i haven't done in a while, one of them reflections from Stormie O'Martian is comin' up. This one was for yesterday, a day meant to celebrate life in all its phases as some of us perceive them - from conception to the natural end - with its beauty and passion in moments of both joy and sorrow.
God's Word tells us how much He loves us...That's why it touches a place deep in our hearts. Nothing penetrates our souls or changes our lives more profoundly than true love. And His is the truest of all. When we read God's love letter, we can better understand His heart of love for us.
And now i'll really leave y'all to go on the beautiful business of this thread. I do need to take care of some personal issues of spiritual kind. On that note, i would really appreciate it if you could pray for me. Thanks in advance.
And since we is on the animal theme, here is a beautiful Dalí painting i must confess i wasn't aware of, seems to me kinda tamed in comparison with some of his other stuff lol. Imho it illustrates the beauty of life and of the world. Hopefully, no art critic will come up in here and shatter my ignurrant interpretation and say Dalí actually wanted to demonstrate the futility of it all lolol. I did visit his house/museum in Figueres back in 1997 but that didn´t bring me any closer to understanding all of his art unfortunately lol.

Awww that dog is so adorable!
:) That was my breed of dog for years. I got my first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel when I was just 12 years old. She got stolen, then I saved up all my money to get another one a year later. Then when I was married, I finally talked my (then) husband into us getting a dog, and it was a Cavalier. They are really wonderful dogs and I miss having one, but life is too busy right now to introduce a pet into our family. I hope maybe in another couple years I can think about having another dog. Cavaliers often have heart problems so you have to be cautious of where you get them to be sure the line is one that lives long.
Anyways, I keep meaning to reply in here and I get distracted with home life and it's just busy. Sometimes it's frustrating. Anyways, I have read everything in here and I just want to give you all a nice warm hug.
Lily I listened to the song you made mention of after you posted it. Pretty cool the similarity to what I was saying. Though I don't think what I said is a new idea. It just seemed to make sense to me while writing it.
Take care everyone!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7ggqCfroAM
The title says "Danish X-Factor 2010 Support-song for Haiti - Ill Be there"
And I need to appologize the wierd sound in the last few seconds. The tv-channel have some problems with their online streaming, which I suppose this clip is recorded from.
Arent these young talents just a blessing to view?
