who knows how they confirmed it. who knows how they confirm any breaking news?? it could be from anybody close that has intel i.e. a tip from a police officer, funeral home employee, family member, close friend.....anyone...

If the casket is presented then it's likely to be a closed casket. The private viewing for family and friends was a closed casket it doesn't make sense to make a public one open.

You know, Michael wrote in Moonwalk that he imagined the 2 biggest moments in his life would be the day he got married and the day he passed away. I think he knew and understood that there would be a lot of hoopla and possibly a circus surrounding both things. And whereas his marriages were a personal thing that had no bearing on anyone's life but his own, his passing is a global event that is affecting more than just his family and friends. I'm grateful that his family understands this and have decided to share him with us one last time. No one was prepared for this but we know when Michael made an entrance he made it big. And now that he's making an exit, I don't doubt he imagined NOT going out in the same fashion. It's our last chance to see him (open or closed casket) and in a way it's his last chance to be onstage...where he said he'd ALWAYS felt most comfortable while he was alive. This isn't what anyone was prepared for (us nor MJ) but it IS his final curtain call. :cry:

There may be a coffin at the memorial, but who knows for sure that Michael will actualy be in it? Nobody will know that, all those people might be mourning over an empty casket, a hoax, Michael may already have been buried this morning or earlier, or later today. Only the family knows...

Unless the casket will be opened but by all the gods in heaven, I sure hope they won't do that.

But a dark part of me actually hopes they do, so that at least I will know for sure this is all real and that ...

CNN just said the family will have another private ceremony after the public Memorial. So that may be the point where they bury him.
