well I have 2 prs of tickets for opening night and then for nov 1st... have to see if I can handle it the first time around before I know if I will see it the second time.

I have 2 tickets for the 1rst week and I plan on going one more time at the second week... Just to clear my head a little bit in between. I also think it will be nice to read all the comments of the fans and then see it one more time...
My opinion: It's the one and only chance to see him on the big screen, it will be like he's there with you or probably "on stage". As painfull as it may be (and it will be for sure, I was very sceptical at the beggining, thinking about not going) I think that the fans should not miss that chance.
If you don't want to go after all, just leave an open window for the second week, read the fan's reviews and then decide.

For now I just have one ticket but I'm keeping the option open of seeing it twice. I just have a feeling I would want to see it again on the big screen because it will be that good. I'm going with my sister the first time but I would really love to take my mom. She loves MJ too (in her own way...she's 76).

And/or I will just purchase the DVD.

I think anything more than twice is kind of tragic :lol: is going to be on DVD and Blu-Ray in no time at all. I think the 4am premier in the UK is a bit of a joke also considering it'll be shown at a more reasonable time 5 hours later. When you think about it, the simultanious view isn't all that.

Anyway, to answer the question, I'm going twice.

Not sure yet, I'll go with my best friend tomorrow. He's not really a MJ fan but he'd like to see the movie anyway :)

I'll probably go a number of times until I go on leave on the 6th of November. I have a quite large cinema at a few minutes from work, so I can go every day after work :)

I'll be in Belarus for 10 days and I'm not sure they will play it there when I'm there.... So far I only found 1 cinema that plays it (not sure if they dubbed it in Russian, I certainly hope not...). Their calendar goes to 1st of November only so far.... I might watch it there too some times (depending if it's dubbed or not, I'll try to at least watch it once there too) :)

So I'll likely end up watching it about 10 times or so ;)

I doubt they'll be showing it for 8 days only. Most cinemas will only reveal their showing times for the next week. For ex. my local cinema prints showing times in the local newspaper but only for Oct 30th to Nov 5th. Friday to Thursday. And this is normal. The following week you'll get the next set of viewing times. Or just phone them, but they might not be sure until they know whether or not they'll be getting an extended run. If they aren't then they might decide to suspend free listing (showing it at regular intervals each day) and only show it maybe twice a day on wed-friday in evenings only to draw bigger crowds.

I have now seen it three times and I will go again on thursday and I plan to go more often still ( at the poll I initially said 3 times, uhhh, forget that, ain't enough, gotta see it as often as I can). I'm so happy it will be extended in Holland!
BTW, does anybody know if it is also shown in IMAX theaters ? I would love to see the new 3D footage actaully in 3D, that will be so awesome!

My friends are asking me and phoning me to see if I saw it already and what I thought of the movie and I tell them everything excitedly ( wanna get them excited and going too)

Well considering I have ALREADY seen it 5 times, obviously I voted for the "5 and more" option!!! ;)

Now that the run has been extended, and assuming it will still be playing at least somewhere near me after Thursday, I'll likely see it at least 10 times in theaters. Even though I'm unemployed and out of money - I don't really care. MJ is worth every last penny I have. I'll worry about paying rent later.

I would like to go see it a second time either this weekend or next. But I'm not sure if I will be able to. I definitely would like to see it again though. Maybe two times.

Can't wait for the DVD though. I'll be buying it the day comes out. :)

4 times so far. I'm addicted what can I say.

First time at Muvico (7:00 pm half full) my rating: good. Good sound.

Second time Imax (2:00pm about a dozen people) my rating: Amazing thumping sound. Huge screen just fabulous.

Third time Muvico again (7:00pm half full) rating: Very good. Good sound.

Forth (wanted to go back to an Imax but no longer playing there so I went to
AMC theatre (Sat 8:pm full) my rating: Awful, sound so low you couldn't barely hear when talking and no thumping music. No low end in the sound. After 10 min I got out to find an employee and told them the sound was all wrong and way too low. But they never adjusted and made the movie boring. People were walking out. Awful. Those who stayed applauded at the end. I complained to a manager when I left.

Should we report the bad sounding theatres to Sony so they can tell them how to adjust the sound?

This is my 3rd time. I just have to do a finale in IMAX.

The first time I went alone at midnight.

2nd- With mom, the crowd was horrible (kept talking and cracking jokes, ugh)

3rd- With a fellow MJ fan in a different theater. Crowd was GREAT and did not move when the credits began to roll, but! the theater sound was just a little too low for me. I like to feel the music thumping.

4th- Will be with my mom again so she can enjoy the movie at another theater without all the chatter. (I'm insisting she see it again to get a good experience, lol)

5th- Will be my last time, HOPEFULLY in IMAX!!!! *hallelujah!*

What cinema did you experience the low volume sound? Mine was at AMC. We couldn't hear the dialogue. I've emailed Sony to let them know about it. It makes a huge difference when the sound is loud and the drums and base are thumping. Otherwise people don't get into it.

As anybody else experience this? If so,in what theatre?

On the first day 2 times, one at 5 o'clock the first official screening and at 20.15 again because .. I don't know why... just needed to.

I wanted to see TII at least 6 times because I also had 6 concert tickets.
But tomorrow I'll watch it one more time. I just can't get enough of Michael on the big screen... and I also think it's the last recent thing we have of Michael - I want to lose myself in it as often as I can before it's really over... :cry:

i seen it 11 times :D i was actually surprised how many people have been at each viewing of the film. i really thought when this film came out it would just be dedicated fans who go and see it and obviously other people with an intrest, but its amazing to see how many people have gone to see the film some of them not even fans. In life people taunted him, in death people love him. Its a shame they didnt realise what a life we had when he was alive, n now he's dead it just seems like people have finally realised what we had. I miss him so much :(

Just got back from my 5th time seeing the movie. I think I'm good for now. Unless it comes back to an Imax cinema.
Tonight I went back to Muvico just a couple blocks from me and they had moved the movie to another room further back and as soon as it's started I new the sound was way too low. This time I got out right away and told the manager " I'm sorry but this movie is all about the music, it has to be a little louder to really feel the movie. If you can't raise the volume I'll have to ask for my money back." He said no problem I'll crank it up for you. There was only 8 people in the room and it was great. But it really doesn't compare to the Imax.

There are ppl around 10-20+ on weekday and I felt like the theater was mine..so So so quiet and I was the one sat in front line of the show :) heehee .. most of the time

I saw it for the eighth and final time this morning, as it won't be extended any longer in my area. We were about 20 people there and at the end, I heard someone applauding shyly at the back, so I quickly jumped in and then everyone followed suit. That made me so happy, as the last time I went nobody clapped except me, and I must admit that hurt.

I was the complete opposite - the first time I went I couldn't stop smiling at Michael (he's such a perfectionist, i felt sorry for those who were working with him lol!) The second time I had very mixed emotions, and the third time I bawled for half the film, I just couldn't help it!

my friend and i went a little mad last saturday and watched it 3x in a row. we couldn't help it! we left theatre #1 and heard michael singing out of theatre #2 and had to run in. after theatre #2, we heard more michael singing coming out of theatre #3 and had to run in there too. i think i have officially lost my mind.

yeah most have been updated to the 26th although at alot of places its minimal viewings that week. i think thats the last week from what others have said here. so dont miss a chance to see it one last time on the big screen. it will be intresting to see what happens in years to come, i can see it getting special releases on certain anniversaries as it will always bring money in

I have seen it 3 times already and I thought it was enough. I checked cinema's website to check if it is extended here and saw it is extended 'till 11.26. What is more, I noticed that a ticket costs only 1.7 euro for that last date!!! While usually it costs 5 euros! So I bought one of course!

Lol, exactly the same with my mum. I said the same thing to my mum and to my great surprise she said yes, so today I went for the second time with my mum. Made my total to 6 times. I want to see it for the last time on one of the last showings.

I've now seen the film 4 times - went on my own, with a friend, with my mum and one of her friends, and then yesterday I went on my own again. I think that's enough for now...although I might go and see it once more before it leaves the big screen. Seeing him perform, knowing that it's the last time, his last days...alive :cry: I'm just so pleased that we've been given the opportunity to see the footage.

I'll go to the last official screening in my town now.... seeing it for the 8th time.

I thought I'd see the movie about 10 times... but I haven't seen it for about 1 week now... the feeling after it... it's just sooo.... you know what I mean.... painful
Yeah, I don't like the feeling I have after seeing it but still I would like to see it over and over again.

I saw TII "only" 3 times. I would've loved to see more but since I'm living with my parents they still got little power on what I'm supposed to do and I just couldn't spend all my money to one movie.. but I'm fine with my 3 times, waiting for the bluray/dvd.
