Donations to MJJC

Hi All,

As a thank you to Gary and everyone else, I'd like to make a little donation to MJJCommunity.

I don't see where it's done, so please someone post instructions.

I also encourage everyone else to give a little something as a thank you for all the great work and for providing a place for us to hold strong together through this tough year.

I just want to say that I really hope donations get put back on soon. So many of us really want to donate to help Gaz and the site and I really hope this can be put back into place. We're not being forced to, we want to do it.

MMJC will be here forever gaz is commited and in it for the right reasons just a shame everyone dosnt see it like that - he started gold membership to try and get the MJJC costs covered and stuff but he got totally abused over (which was really out of order)

This isnt right, people having a go at Gaz for trying to cover the costs of running the site which is alot, this isnt no free boards site but uses alot of bandwidth and if there isnt donations or anything then who is going to pay this monthly bill(large) gaz? he cant foot it all he has a family and isnt a millionaire!!

That's not right though. Why should he have to pay it all? If ripping people off was the aim then surely the site wouldn't be accessable at all unless you paid.

I can't understand people will have problems with making donations....that option has been here all the time, before June, so that shouldn't be a thing to stop now all of a sudden. Just donating something doesn't do harm.

Now this really makes me wonder what will happen...:mello:

I agree. Nobody's arms were being twisted to provide for the site. I think that the option should be there at least. Those that had a problem with the Gold Club/shop/donations do not speak for the rest of us.

Look how ppl. ganged up on him when he said $25 for Gold club members:smilerolleyes:...He didnt have to take down the *pay for 2000 watts* rule, but being as he always is, he made it free for every member!...He's an amazing president and ppl. treated him like Sh!t...Sry Gaz...had to say it!:scratch:

But I hope the donations comeback...thats how we help out eachother you know?!

Those that were having a go at Gaz were out of order, i know some didn't agree with the membership fee for many different reasons but who on earth did they think was paying for all this.
I donated because i wanted to and i would like to carry on donating so i hope the option comes back. Not all of us thought it was a rip off.

I agree with all of you guys. I seriously hope it comes back soon as I really want to donate to help the site. None of us are being forced to, we donate because we want to. I understand why some people were unhappy about the Gold Club but the site needs money to finance it. But Gaz did not deserve all that aggro he got about it and very few people supported him over it, which everyone in this thread did. I'm more than happy to give a bit of my money to help it out. MJJC is forever as Michael is forever.

Well, I think it's a shame !! I really loved the shop, bought two tees, and probably would buy more in the future! It was a cool thing for the fans -- a good exchange -- no ripoff. It's fun getting and wearing "Michael stuff". Also, I want to donate every now and then to help out Gary and contribute to the continuation of the forum! Please bring back the Paypal Donate button, thanks!

Well, I think it's a shame too!! I am new here and certainly didn't post much but I enjoyed visiting the site daily just to read about anything/everything MJ. I made the donation because I want to and because I can. It would be really sad if this site shut down due to lack of funding. Gaz, I really appreciates everything that you do and please let us continue to donate and help you out. I am feeling kind of lost since June 25th. and coming here really help me deal with my sadness.

I will be trying to ensure MJJC can continue.

Yes I believe I was falsely accused for supposedly charging for videos that were not mine when it is clear if you scour the threads this is not the case, I was also accused of asking for donations a couple of days after the passing of MJ which if I'm honest I do not even recall, and yes I was hated on for trying to ensure the future of MJJC with gold even threatened to be sued,

However, I've had little choice but to prove to these people my true honour.

Will that affect MJJC in the future, at this point I can not answer that however I will now look at ways in which to ensure MJJC the website and forum continues,

It is now fact that all the future plans I had are now scrapped, my goal at this point it to ensure we can pay for the forum and website everything else will now be culled to assist me in that.

I will come back to you all once i have more.

And a big thank you for your kindness and L.O.V.E. it is beyond appreciated you must know that.

Together I know we will survive.

Thanks for the reply, Gaz. Try to run a forum and all you get is crap :smilerolleyes:. At least you know it's only a minority and most of us who regularly use this place will do anything to see it continue and we know why you everything around here. :)

On a side note, my session timed out just before I replied to this (I left it open in a tab) and I was still able to reply as a guest. Not sure if you've left it like that for registration/log in problems etc. but I thought I'd let you know just incase. ;)

That's not fair to Gaz! Maybe to temporary ban these people who went at him, instead of getting stuck with the bill would have been better for Gaz and for these people who don't seem to want to imagine how expensive a large board like this can be.

Gaz, regardless of the gold club thing, PLEASE let us make donations.

It is OUR choice, its nobody elses business, its not like you're forcing us or anything like that. You don't need to give anything in return, you already offer us this amazing place. MJJC is a great place on many levels, its a fantastic resource for information, support and community L.O.V.E! It canNOT disappear. If you could display the total cost per month we could have a target to aim towards to try and raise cash. If people knew MJJC was in danger I'd think more would donate.

Compared to MJJC, Sony's MJ forum is a joke. You're doing more for MJ and his legacy than whoever runs..(or rather doesn't run) that site.

i think everything you were doing was fine, some other mj forum's are copying (i assume) your strategies with color usernames and donations now, let alone other forums in general do this type of thing as well. - its the forum world. so it was beyond me why members were taking it so far as to your decisions made here, even as far as saying ''they wanted no join dates'', what forum doesn't have join dates?...seriously, people were taking it too far. but anyway, moving on, thanks for keeping this forum running.

Log into your paypal and have a look at your recenent transactions and if the payment to donate@mjjcommunity.com (or donate@mjjcomunity.com) is status = unclaimed cancel it and resent it to donate@mjjcoMmunity.com

Also once payment has been sent it should say payment to gary taylor and not donate@mjjcommunity.com

Its just gaz needs to know who has donated so he can give you donator status - you could pm gaz with your paypal e-mail address so he can confirm it or also when you donate add your your user name in the note
