I´m so happy by hearing this snippet, my two favorite idols singing together. This is the real thing, not a fake.
And actually I was very surprised, because Lenny recorded this song years later. The name of the song recorded by him (Featuring Jay-Z) is "Storm" and it belongs to his album called "Baptism" (2004). If you listen to the song, you´ll see that the lyrics are the same.

Yes, I just realized today that it's not over (I mean the excitement and everything). At least for me. I haven't felt like this since March 5th last year... and now it's back again. My heart is beating out of my chest! I thought that since his passing I will never ever feel like I used to back in the day. This Is It (the song) didn't work. The movie was exciting in a way, but also a closure and a sad experience too.

I understand what you're saying but I think we should be glad all this stuff has been saved and is being released (be it online) so we can hear what Michael's been working on. Not all tracks were shelved because they weren't good quality, they simply were cut from the album because there was no room for them. The song is from Vince sessions.
Lenny recorded it as "storm" on his album in 2004
"storm"was released as a single in 2004/5 in Europe.
The single had a REMIX by Jay-Z to accompany it.
Lenny resung some of the vocals for the REMIX in a different meoldy.
The REMIX changed the whole direction of the song.
A video was made for the REMIX too and was essentialy the main release, overshadowing the album version. Radio stations used to play the REMIX rather than the album version

Someone here said Michael took these songs out of Invincible for a reason, because of the beef with Sony and all. That sounds much more believeable than him not liking these songs enough to put on cd.

The beat starts off pretty simple..but as soon as he starts to sing, the beat gets some extra sounds and it's great. Can't wait to hear the full one.
IMO alot on Invincible simply wasn't the well known MJ sound, not at all.
