In Oct. 2009, afew weeks before the opening of 'This is it' Marlon accepted an award in N.Y. on behalf of MJ. What was this? Some kind of fashion award??? I knew MJ was full of fashion & style - but I didn't know that MJ lent a hand to designers on the catwalk.

As the eldest brother and former member of the Jackson 5, Marlon came out to accept the Avant-Garde award in memory of his beloved brother, Michael Jackson.

No, MJ recieved the award because of his style and influence in the fashion world - people take inspiration from the clothes he wore. He didn't get the award because he actually designed/helped design their clothes.

The eldest brother? What happened to Jackie, or for that matter, Tito and Jermaine? Maybe the writer meant to say the "older" brother of Michael.:scratch:

If that was an award for fashion. Great.
Michael has great sense of style. Military, Sequins,etc. He was a trend starter (eg. 1982's red leather jacket)
