you might like to know that Michael was involved in the "History" and "Thriller" editions of the Hot Toy dolls.

The reason the face changed on the "History" model was because Michael was unhappy with it. The line by Hot Toys WAS approved by Michael Jackson. And I'm guessing that there would have been some type of contract drawn up at the time these were in the beginning of creating.

I also know that Michael saw the proto-type of the "Thriller" model.

It's more expensive because you can actually move they eyes and there's a stand
with lights in it included.

I think the face looks OK, but as with the other two before this one, they made it after one particular pose of Michael, so it looks nicer in some poses than in others, you just have to figure is out a bit :)

MJ signed a deal for these long before he died. Billie Jean doll was released in march 2009.
So unless Hot Toys killed Michael for profit, I dont see anything wrong with it.

Looks incredible, so much better than the Billie Jean and Thriller ones. I love the thriller one, i got it. But this face is incredibly accurate. Sadly..no doubt they are gonna change things. The first pictures of the Billie jean figure looked real accurate too..but the final figure really didn't , and the same with thriller, as great as the figure is...the first pictures were very accurate..the final figure much less.

I doubt you'll find it under 150 euros though, Hot Toys figures are always around that priceticket. Really not that bad at all if you look at the quality and especially the likeness, it's incredible.

I really hope they don't change too much, i remember how the billie jean and thriller figures looked on the very first pics, and the final result wasn't as good. They really do not need to change anything really.

As for the person here saying he/she's not gonna buy it cause they are cashing in on Michael. Their Billie Jean and Thriller figures were already in production when he was still living. It's obvious that Hot Toys loves MJ, cause never before have they made so many figures of a person. Then again...not many people are as unique and special as MJ..... :)

I had preordered the BJ doll back then but when it arrived in stock I was paying for my trip to London to see Michael in concert so I couldnt afford it then and cancelled. But to be honest I didnt like his updated face, I prefer the 1st one. The Thriller doll was cool but also didnt think it looked much like him.

Now, the BAD doll is AWESOME. It is perfect and from my fav era/songs, better the the other 2. So I'll preorder this one asap!!

I have a question to anybody who have preordered the previous Thriller figure. Does the price change over time? Such as is preorder price lower than the actual price or vice versa? And do they charge you instantly or charge your card when they ship?

It's difficult to gauge prices for MJ's figures, the Thriller one sold originallyy for over $200.00 USD, now you can find it around $180.00 or so.
My guess is that BAD won't have such a large edition as Thriller though...

They charge you until item is ready to ship, should be around July-August.

Thanks anyone.Sideshow doesn't change their prices. The pre-order price is the same as the price at the time of release. You might be able to find the figure at a lower price than Sideshow, but I usually stick with them because they are official. They only charge you when the figure is about to ship.

I think this looks incredible, as did the Thriller and Billie Jean/HIStory models, only problem is that they're all FAR too expensive and therefore isolate a grand chunk of the fanbase :-s

A while back it was mentioned that a company were going to produce a range of MJ action figures - is Hot Toys that company and this the outcome?? I was of the opinion when reading it that the action figures would be much smaller and more affordable (like Star Wars figures, for example) - or did I just imagine that part?!



Hot Toys' figures are always around that price, there's no reason to make it more cheaper now just because it's MJ , especially when it's this detailed, i am willing to afford that for it. Many fans bought all those greatest hits albums as well, a few of them together and you have the price of a Hot Toys figure, which IMO is a much nicer collectable. When you see these pictures, it's obvious that this company really puts their heart into making these things, the detail is incredible.

Come on now, be realistic here. This looks pretty damn accurate, they dont come more accurate than this. And i truly believe it's damn hard to make it 100% accurate...besides, maybe the Estate simply doesn't want to. I remember the Billie Jean figure looking very accurate and the final one wasn't near as good. MJ probably wanted things changed.

I look on Ebay regularly and i have yet to see any fake figure that comes close to the accuracy of the Hot Toys Bad Figure. You say the face doesn't look like him, but it sure as hell does. Its got that exact stare, mouth,bonestructure, you name it. ONLY the eyes, are a bit off..but also much better compared to how the very first Bad version looked, when they anounced it.

I really like to see the figures that you say look better and more like MJ. Cause i sure stumbled upon some laughable ones on Ebay.

As for their next figure...........--------> you can vote there...BUT they did the same thing before anouncing the Bad figure, a poll but i don't recall Bad being on there. Not sure though...

i blame the public... because the number 1's dvd (which was all NON remastered videos) sold so many, that tells sony and others that people don't mind low quality stuff.

I'm pretty anxious to see what the Smooth Criminal one looks like, and how they're going to make it lean, without taking away the joints and movement of a plastic figure...I hope Hot Toys eventually makes an Invincible one, from his TRL appearance, but that's highly unlikely, so the next one I'd like to see is Beat It, from the Victory tour.

Sorry i have no idea. Alot of these online stores only accept creditcard. But can't you also do Paypal? I think you can use your own bank ID card on that, but i am not sure.

Yes, the Beat It is the latest one, it was a special release for the 10 year anniversary of Hot Toys. 2000 were sold in Tokyo at the end of december and 2000 will be sold in Hong Kong.
