Sidebar on the homepage!

So I've seen we now have a sidebar on the left when we're at the homepage of the board.

Not to be nagging or anything, but...I feel it's a bit unnecessary to have that there? :blush:
There's basically not much new info in that sidebar that could be usefull or something.
Just wondering if anyone feels the same (I know some do) and if it maybe can get back to the old way?

Also, it looks so squeezed together now...kind of a weird sight. :lol:

I don't mind it. It's a bit more squeezed but i don't notice it. Maybe it's the widescreen monitor, might be more annoying on 4:3?

I don't mind it. it's only on the front page, and when you enter subforums it's not there :)

It's double also, because we got that little user panel thingy with PM's on the right corner already.
Forum Stats is also double, that's to be found underneath the page.

That's what bugs me too. All the info on the sidebar is already somewhere so there's really no point having it there unless the old places are deleted (user information in the right corner and the forum stats on the bottom of the page)

I also don't like that the threads are centered. It looks messy.

O that's not really fine to read indeed. I see the threads normal, only the mainpage has a sidebar, and profiles are centralised, but the threads are normal. That's okay with me. But I agree for the people who see everything centralised it isn't very clear and easy.

Yes ist very hard to read or find topics when they are all centered instead of at the left ..
your eyes have to dart side to side to center _instead of just scrolling down left side as usual

I think the problem cause the CENTER tag in:
/html/body/table/tbody/tr/td[2]/div/div/div/center
on (for this example) http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=206

In my Opera it's caused by text-align: center for most elements. In firefox they inherit text-align: left from "div.page", so everything is fine.
