YAY! I am so excited -- I checked dates this weekend (hadn't in over a month) and saw Washington, DC listed. I cannot wait! I know it's over a year away, but so exciting.

How long do you think tickets will last? Since it's over a year away, I really don't want to purchase tickets quite yet... but I am not sure how long I should wait, how fast these type of shows sell out, etc.

Yes there will. They haven't been announced yet and they will be after the North American leg is over.

Tina Guo

First day at Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour by Cirque du Soleil Rehearsal Period: orientation, taxes, contract signing, measurements, medical exam, meeting the cast and crew, getting lost and driving to the wrong side of the city, GPS telling us the address of our hotel doesn't exist trying to get back home in lightening-filled rainstorm= WEEE!!! Off to get ready to see Janet Jackson's show tonight!

http://www.facebook.com/TinaGuoMusic?sk=wall

Genre: Classical, Industrial Metal, Rock
Members: Tina Guo / 郭婷
Hometown: Shanghai, China
Record Label: Guo Industries / MDI / Universal
About: Love. Life. Passion. Universal Energy. Carnal Desires. Ethereal Oneness.
Description: When I make music, I am completely pure, naked, and open. I long for the moments when my outer shell no longer matters. I hunger for every genuine tear of sorrow, joy, or understanding shared. When you can hear me for who I am, and see me in a way that doesn't involve looking at me, but rather looking through me, only then can I be satisfied.

When I play, I see ghosts. I am only aware of undiluted... emotions manifesting; those that arise from the tribulations of life and of death, of the most beautiful love and the most heart wrenching grief. The same purity of feeling that has inspired every creator of art, of music; every human being that has ever dreamed of an ideal, lives in the flowing melodies. Expression through an abstract is blessed in its form to be free from the stains of reality.

When I make music, I rediscover my identity. Not a daughter, a sister, a lover, nor a friend, but only one soul connected to every other person that has walked the earth.

I ache to show you what is inside my heart. I ache to be understood. I ache for all of us to understand our humanity. I ache to tell the world an eternal story. Watch me, hear me pray in the only way I know how.

This is who I am and what I am. I want to love and be loved. I want to share through conversation, through experiencing joy together, through silent looks that say more than any words can say, through making music and sharing my soul. Music is pure and cannot lie. I want to live my life to the fullest. I want to have no regrets when I leave this earth. I want to give something good, beautiful, and meaningful to as many people as I can.

I know that I know nothing. I try to be self-aware and improve myself every day. I love being alive.

Biography: At the age of 25, Tina Guo has already developed a fascinating international multi-faceted performing career as a solo classical cellist, rock/metal/fusion electric cellist, and acclaimed recording artist known for her distinctive sound and improvisatory style in major motion picture and television scores. She is also a composer, producer, photo artist/light painter, and published poet and writer.... Tina's latest upcoming project is being featured on the electric and acoustic cellos in Cirque Du Soleil's Michael Jackson "The Immortal" World Tour, an international all-arena tour that begins this October, starting in North America and moving to international dates in 2013.

Second show added for Cirque's Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL Tour in Miami

If you didn't score tickets for the upcoming Cirque du Soleil show Michael Jackson - THE IMMORTAL Tour, now's your chance! Due to popular demand, a second show has been added at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The new performance is Saturday, March 3, 2012, in addition to the previously announced performance on Friday, March 2, 2012.

Starting Monday, August 8, 2011, tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Tickets range from $50 to $250 each. (And don't forget to add parking into the mix, it will range from $10.00 and up, depending how far you're willing to walk to the arena.)

If you've never seen a Cirque du Soleil show, this would be a phenomenal foray into the mesmerizing Cirque fantasy world. I'm a huge fan myself, and have seen all the shows in Vegas and nearly all of the touring shows each year, and in true Cirque fashion (and based on the incredible Love show based on Beatles music), this is sure to be an extravaganza, pulling out all the stops to pay tribute to the King of Pop.

I'd personally recommend splurging for seats near the stage--it's a huge arena and although I'm sure the special effects will be larger than life, these types of shows are still better enjoyed from a bit closer up. If you're hesitating at all on whether it's worth the money--I'm certain it will be--and it's the closest we can get to MJ himself.

For complete tour and ticket information, visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/MichaelJackson.

Beautiful. This is the kind of people we want on the tour...not the likes of Michael Bush & Tompkins ...or even worst Karen Faye.

Happy 2 know...MJ is still inspiring them.

I know the show will be magical... I already regret not buying tickets for the second show, and now it's sold out ***boooo***

Now that Lopez is cancelled, I wonder if Michael Bearden might be invited to join the tour.

The videos hasn't been very informative thus far IMO.

Maybe it will come in later videos.

I think they mostly just want to keep everything secret until the opening. I really want to see sneak peaks of the show but I guess surprise is good- it's not often that we get complete surprises nowadays!

Hopefully they give us a bit more in the videos later on though. Even if it's just a very little taster.

On October 2nd? Absolutely not. The show will not be broadcast..that I guarantee you.

They have a 15 year contract with the estate maybe after the show has stopped touring the world.

The Cirque are very strict & against people using cameras during their shows...but I am sure clips will show up on Youtube the next day.

IMMORTAL

Thank you.

I avoided the spoilers... I read up to the beginning of the show.

I am going on October 2nd, and really wanna be surprised..or mostly amazed like only Cirque and especially MJ can.

Only 14 days to go...

http://www.mjfanclub.net/home/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4849:the-ultimate-tribute-to-michael&catid=85:latest-news&Itemid=82

(16-9-2011) On September 15, the Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil invited MJFC and a few other select fan sites, out to Montreal to watch a rehearsal of the much anticpated Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour. The purpose was to get our unedited reactions to the show and even to listen to our gripes and concerns. As MJFC's representative 'fly on the wall,' I can tell you that what you are about to witness is quite simply, the ultimate tribute to Michael Jackson.

Unfortunately, there were no cameras allowed inside the arena for the show or at the Cirque headquarters so I have no pictures to share with you but, belive me when the show opens in early October, not only will you see the most dynamic specticle of dance and acrobatic prowess the Cirque du Soleil is so known for, but you will also see, hear - and most importantly - you will feel Michael.

As you all know, this is the first time that Cirque has ever done a show with a live band. And boy, what a band it is! Michael's long-time band director, Greg Phillingaines and also his drummer, Jonathan "Sugarfoot" Moffit head up the team. Along with them are a 19 year-old female guitar wizard that Phillingaines discovered on YouTube and an amazing electric cellist. Pair all that with the magic Kevin Antunes is working with Michael's original masters and, needless to say, the truly world-class band sounded phenomenal!

But as amazing as the music is, this show actually goes beyond the music and captures the essence of Michael. His genius, his imagination, his heart... it's all there. They get it. And, aside from a couple of small concerns that we (the fans present at this little 'think tank') voiced, they really nailed it! You will laugh and you will cry and you will be absolutely astounded at many of the visuals!

But I want to back up a little and make sure you understand what I just said. Cirque du Soleil and the Estate invited a small group of 15 fans, representatives from the fan club community, to a viewing of The Immortal World Tour in order to get our feedback and imput. They listened to what we had to say and they took our feelings and suggestions into consideration. And it wasn't just lip service. Changes were made to the show immediately based on our feedback. That's huge! And the passion for Michael that I witnessed from everyone involved - from the band members to the costume designer, from the dancers to the technicians, to members of the Estate and the entire Cirque du Soleil behind-the-scenes production team - was very real. Their love for Michael and their concern about upholding his legacy was evident. As I said, this show really is the ultimate Michael Jackson tribute and I, for one, can't wait for the curtain to go up!

Thanks for this, it's good to see (once again) that the Estate and Cirque know how to pay tribute to MJ properly! Puts the organisers of the tribute in Cardiff to shame (once again!)

For the first time since June 25 2009 i am begining to have this great feeling called excitment about something in life, it really seems like this will be the ultimate tribute to Michael both the artist and person. Just sad that trial was moved so the show will start at the begining of the trial, that will dampen the excitment quite abit to put it mildly. But anyway, I will do everything i can to catch this show either in the US or Europe. Pretty sure they would like to put on residincy in europe or aswell since he was more popular there than in the US.

MJ4JUSTICE's review

An evening of Michael Jackson - The Immortal Tour - Cirque du Soleil

There is nothing but L.O.V.E & Respect on the stage of Cirque du Soleil - Michael Jackson , The Immortal World Tour.

It was clear that everyone involved in this production has 2 goals.... Love for Michael Jackson and Respect for his legacy.

I was honored to represent “MJ4JUSTICE.com, and join a group of MJ fan groups from around the
world , to come to Montreal to see a rehearsal preview of the show.

From the moment we entered -the Bell Center in downtown Montreal, that Michael Jackson and Cirque have plenty in common.

They share a strive for perfection, and a passion for innovation .

As MJ has often said “ It has to be the BEST”.

It is the perfect combination of two iconic and creative powerhouse brands, Michael Jackson and Cirque Du Soleil. The perfect synergy !

We met the creative team for Michael Jackson, The Immortal Tour including , Michael’s- musical collaborator Greg Phillinganes, Zaldy, John “Sugarfoot” Moffett, Chantal Tremblay , Kevin Antunes and many of the dancers, acrobats of Cirque du Soleil.

Every last one of these talented artists promised us - that they were dedicated to do “RIGHT” by Michael. They were dedicated to make this production a testament to his legacy.
And they want his fans to be pleased and happy for having had the experience.
This group asked for our feedback and with everything in the MJ Fan community, we gave them, just that :) !
The creative team listened intently to what the fans had to offer, took our suggestions in, and thanked us for being part of the process!

The Music - is OFF THE HOOK !! Greg Phillinganes and Kevin Antunes - have done an outstanding and masterful job in creating a LIVE music concert experience for all of us. The music was exciting , vibrant and bittersweet. Wait to you hear ‘“ Wanna be Starting Something “ - I promise you will be dancing in the aisles !

The creative team of Cirque- did a tremendous amount of “MICHAEL” research and made sure all of Michael’s passions and interests are reflected in this show. You will witness Michael’s love for the planet, for the children of the world and for people everywhere.

What Cirque has done to pay homage to what Michael, held close to his heart- is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is all reflected beautifully in the sets, costumes, the music and the dance.

They have gone to great lengths that the devoted fans of Michael Jackson are happy and excited and that a great deal of respect is displayed for Michael, the man, the humanitarian and the entertainer .
As Berry Gordy once said, “Michael Jackson...quite simply, was the greatest entertainer, that ever lived” and there will be no doubt about that after watching , this amazing show.

This show is for everyone .......lifelong MJ fans and the new generation of fans - who are discovering MJ, for the first time.

Bring your dancing shoes , of course - because you will want to JAM, scream, sing and shout!
But bring some Kleenex , because in several portions of the show, I found myself in tears, remembering the time - and remembering , what we have lost .

What Cirque has done with Human Nature will simply... take your breath away.

I am going to see, the show in Montreal, Vegas and New York City and I am sure, that each time, I will come away with some new revelation.

There is some much to absorb and take in. It is Fun, Nostalgic , Bittersweet, Exciting but the most important thing for me - was Michael Jackson, The Immortal Tour represents Michael his heart.

And sitting in the audience, I kept thinking “Michael would be SO proud” and he would have love this!

As we loved him!
“Love Lives Forever”

---Melanie

“The meaning of life is contained in every single expression of life. It is present in the infinity of forms and phenomena that exist in all of creation.”

“And my goal in life is to give to the world what I was lucky to receive: the ecstasy of divine union through my music and my dance.”....Michael Jackson

Just reading that review game me goose bumps! I won't get to see this show, but i am so excited for all the fans who will be able to enjoy and appreciate the works of both Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil.

Notice that Cirque and members of the Estate saw it fit to involve fans of MJ to give their opinions on what they are doing and not pretend as though the fans don't matter! Global Live would do well to watch the professionals in action.

The review sounds awesome! I can't wait to go to the Philly one and then to the Vegas one that will be different. But, I still can't undrstand why Invincible songs get ignored while other more recent don't. O_o Threatened has it's own rap that can be used, if they needed one so badly and it has amazing lyrics and beat. So hopefully those two errors IMO that the review mentioned in the song choices can be changed in the show?! Since the people behind the show are asking for opinions and willing to fix others areas like the scream and beat it section then they can also consider changing certain song choices no matter how small.

It was a normal morning for me, working 9 to 5 it was a usual day when all of a sudden an email that was to take my breathe away hit my inbox titled a special invitation I was curious to its content of course you can imagine my inbox mail after mail and like anyone I always read my mail and ensure people get a responce yep one hell of a task but thats just me being me as a servant to the fans of Michael Jackson however this particular mail caught my eye moreso than most and here is why,

Upon opening I started reading the emotions were building and building I could not beleive what I was reading in fact I read and re read thinking no surely not surely this is a joke however it wasn't it was genuine those that sent it I know to be legit and would never play a prank like this so yes to my abolute amazement it said hey Gaz do you want to come to Montreal in Canada would you like so come and see a private performance of Cirque Du Soliel's ultimate tribute to Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour omg I was wooohhhaaaaa I was climbing the walls with excitement omg I said to myself this is for real I am going to watch not only the worlds most iconic artist's tribute just as importantly Cirque Du Soleil were the ones doing it now from the very day this was announced I was like OMG what a partnership two iconic legends coming together what better way of celebrating Michael than Cirque doing it hell Michael himself loved all they did even touring their campus,

http://media2.senatus.net/files/myerscms/senatus_37AJAJ.jpg

The day came nervous as hell my trip began with lots of flying 10 hours one way in fact to Canada via the US but was it worth it HELL YEAH IT WAS.

My Day Starts Here

Wezssw17bcc

So 3.30pm came and of we went I could not beleive we were that close only a ten minute walk around the corner to the Bell Centre hockey stadium yep a whole arena was reserved for the final rehearsals one in which we were invited at one point I had to pinch myself thinking see I told you so those in charge are wanting to do Michael and his legacy justice clearly they had every intention to involve us the fans of course you can't invite everyone so why not the leaders who represent communities in the wider world.

9aLCP_imvI8

Walking into the arena we were litteraly stunned for words infront of us was the stage and set of Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour by Cirqu Du Soleil and let me tell you it ozzed Michael you could litteraly feel the energy of him all around the arena the excitement was building and like any rehearsals there was fine tuning to be done we kept getting small glimpses of his images on the big screens only for them to dissapear yep like with all setting these things up there were customary blips in that there was an issue with the video software waited and waited but you know what this increased our excitement many of the shows legendary contributors made a point to come and talk to us one being the great Greg Phillinganes musical director and master in his own right having worked with Michael directly on many of his albums and tours to other legendary artists, the energy this man has for the show and Michael's legacy was awe inspiring second to approach us was The Talauega Brothers choreographers to the show who had much to say to us including one factor that stuck out was make sure you got some tissues then the energy was building and building we could not wait no more.

The Stage

http://media2.senatus.net/files/myerscms/senatus_Diy8XX.jpg

The set was dominated by a huge spiraling tree which had to be a replica of Michael's giving tree around the tree was a huge stage and to the upper rear was Cirq's first ever live band steps dropped down to the dance and main show area with a long singular dance and walk way coming way out to beyond the middle of the arena finnished with a huge round dance area,

SHOW TIME

http://0.tqn.com/d/dc/1/0/k/T/1/michael-jackson-tour-storyboard2.jpg

The rumbling started the lights went up, its show time.....

Facing us was Michael's Neverland gates appearing out of the smoke from the very end of the stage was a young man who started to dance to Remember The Time and dance he did Locking and popping spinning and sliding/gliding it was clear this man could dance.

I do not want to go into to much detail so as to not spoil your very own experience but many a tune boomed across the arena Childhood was for me very emotional and brought back a lot of the emotions of Michael what he endured through his years then to lift it up again was Wanna Be Startin Somthin after which from the audience the stage was raided by five super fans this story in itself was amazing throughout the show as they kept appearing and as the story unfolded it was clear they were there to try and be with Michael in Neverland skipping to some favourable parts Dangerous and Smooth Criminal was OMG they for me managed to capture the dance Michael created and performed another incredible part was Human Nature acrobats all in black with lights all over spinning up and down in rings above the stage was hugley a favourite for me,

Moving onto the to the music I for one could not be more excited to tell you all of the sounds that boomed around for pretty much the whole of the show, the mash ups the mixes the classics and incredibly the live band they were faultless in creating a master peice from start to finnish it is one hell of a musical journey and hell yeah I have got to get my hands on it to play in our All Michael Friday Show lol.

If The Immortal World Tour comes to a city near you whether your a fan or not its a must, as one thing is for sure if you not a fan you soon will be.

I commend the Estate And Cirque, together they have brough not only two iconics in Michael Jackson and Cirque Du Soleil but a team of people who have throughout Michael's life have been there for him helped him in acheiving his success those from who have produced his music to choreographed his moves even styled his cloths, what is evident is those in charged have not left no stone unturned in their quest to honour Michael's legacy

You cant beat the main man himself but boy these guys have come a close second.

As it's making rounds on the Internet, I will confirm that we received an email from the MJ Estate Online Team. This email tells that the show is still a work in progress and there are changes happening everyday. As a result Cry, Breaking News, Monster and Off the Wall has been removed (50 Cent's rap might be used), Threatened is added and several other songs and routines had seen changes.

Also let me remind you that this thread is NOT the place to discuss any Cascio song related issue. Treat the above message as information but do not start a Cascio song discussion.

He was then in slow motion being sucked back along the stage to a huge screen where Michael himself was dancing the emotions started to run as all the memories of seeing him live came flooding back from the outset you could see they were trying to capture the essence of Michael actually being there the energy he oozed to the crowds even though he wasnt it was still a must for all to see and hear Cirq had me hooked from that moment, it was clear I was not just watching a tribute but some thing that was dedicated to him his memory his incredible talents Cirq wanted to create it all and that they did with their own iconic ability to put on a show of shows Cirq lived up to everything they are good at.

Dear members fans and followers
As you all know, several songs in the show will not end up in the final show, and several that are WILL be in the show come October 2. the Estate and Cirque stressed during, this is very much a work-in-progress and there continue to be changes made to all aspects of the show - not only the music.

There are various reasons for these changes – some creative, some because of clearance issues and other reasons. For example, as a result of the rehearsals that have taken place, “Cry”, “Breaking News”, “Monster” (though a portion of 50 Cent’s rap may be used), and “Off The Wall” are now no longer in the show. “Man In The Mirror” has moved, and “Threatened” has been added, as has an additional use of “Bad”. Some of the routines have also been changed including, for example, “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’”. And more changes are expected.

We wanted you to have this inside info right from the source,
For me it is clear the Estate and Cirque have both Michael's best interests and well as his fans in ensuring his legacy is paramount
Regards

That is great! But why 50 cent's rap?? I hope they remove that too.. They could use Biggie's rap from Unbreakable if they want rap so bad! I'm very happy to hear that they added Threatened - one of my favourites from Invincible!
