WHEN will Michael get a Kennedy Center honor?

I love watching the KC honors each year because it's one of the few awards where you really get one on merit, not popularity or paying for it (Oprah may be the exception though) but Michael deserved a KC honor a long time ago, is there some rule that says a posthumous one can't be given?

^ it would be nice... I mean Michael wasnt even nominated for the noble peace prize but a criminal was nominated! That says much about what they are than it does Michael! He clearly deserves any nomination, Just because he passed doesnt mean he doesnt have to be honored! right? People have been honoring him for his Music only, not for being a humanitarian!
