MJJC Urgent Member Notice - Re Sharing Stolen Copyrighted Material - ALL Members must read

Dear Members

It has come to my attention that people have been sharing stolen copyrighted material owned by the Sony Music Corp.

Given this we have little choice but to step up our actions should we see any of the like on MJJC,

Therefore:

If any member is caught by ANY means on MJJC sharing stolen copyrighted material you will be instantly banned for life.

Myself and my team must ensure our community is protected and does not fall fit for this kind of behaviour.

We will prevail in our fight stopping this to ensure MJJC is not brought into any situations that could effect our journey in honouring Michael and his legacy.

Today I also call upon any member who knows or has been given any of the stolen material to please contact me via pm.

What do you mean by 'stolen material'? Are you refering to songs? What if I decide to put a MJ pic in my siggy isn't that copywrited too? Will I be banned then as well? Sorry I don't get it

I respect this decision. However, could someone link me to the statement about the 2000 watts forum being deleted? I can not find any information at all about what happened.

And when I searched my old posts in that forum section they were all gone! I just want to know what happened and then move on

Sony is taking action against those they catch stealing and rightly so. I hope you know
our board is in danger of being taken down if we are allowing it here So yes those who
do leak and download will be banned to insure the protection of MJJC.

So you mean unreleased songs or songs in general right? If so yeah they have every right to go after everyone of them, I've never been active when it came to 2000 Watts (despite having access) or song sharing etc Thx Qbee

Music leaking is nothing new. HMH was leaked back in 2008. Love Never Felt So Good was leaked in 2009. Snippets of Another Day, A Place With No Name and Groove of Midnight were leaked in 2009 as well.

Blue Gangsta, DYKWYCA and STTR were leaked in 2010. Stay and All I Need were leaked in 2011. Snippets of Water and Soldier Boy were leaked recently.

Water and Soldier Boy were not obtained legally. Neither does Blue Gangsta nor DYKWYCA.

If such life ban policy has to be carried retrospectively, 99% of this forum members are to be banned too.

Music leakage is not exclusive to Michael Jackson or the Cascio tracks. Many other artists face the same problem. Beyonce's new song was also leaked before it's official released and is shared here in this forum.

I'm not encouraging people to steal music and share music. But, I need to know the banning policy is being carried out in a fair manner.

Peopel who shared BG and DYKWYCA are okay. But, people who shared Soldier Boy are banned?

Sorry if I sound pushy. One of my closest friends is banned, even IP banned. I'm very frustrated now. Extremly frustrated.

I wasn't around last night so I missed what happened. What exactly happened? Why does it seem like Sony has a heavy presence here lately (including the ability to get people banned like what happened a few weeks ago)?
