^OMG that last photo..why sell it? :*( Elizabeth spoke of that after Michael's passing on her Twitter. I guess these items don't hold any sentimental value to her children.

I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself which says, "To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever." And I will love HIM forever.

Love the autographed picture. I imagine it will sell for more than the estimated price, too much for me.

I guess that were are living in a selfish World where people are only concerned about their personal gains..........

I would of thought that they (Elizabeth's children) might of wanted to keep something that could be passed onto their own children...........

Or maybe a judgmental world where people unfairly judge others wihout cause.

The auction proceed will be divided between her Charity and her Estate. The children do not own these items. Im sure any items of personal value to her children and grandchildren were already gifted to them.. Plus whatever she left them in her will.

Ton of the money is going to go to fight aids.

The proceeds from the auctioned items go to Elizabeth Taylor’s estate. However, a portion of publication sales and ticket sales from the auction and the preview exhibition (which drew 26,000 visitors at $30 a pop) will go to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. Christie’s did not specify the exact amount that will go to charity. Christie’s spokeswoman Erin McAndrew told ARTINFO, “A portion of the profits from exhibition tickets, select publication sales and event sponsorship fees will be directed to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF). We also raised $170,000 for ETAF last night [Tuesday] by auctioning a copy of the limited-edition deluxe boxed set of My Love Affair With Jewelry (her 2002 book).”

On top of the profits going to the estate and the ETAF, Christie’s will also take a cut. The auction house charges a buyer’s premium, which comes out to be between 12 and 25 percent of the hammer price, depending on the total.

I would assume the Estate are E. Taylor`s childreen.

I would assume the Estate are E. Taylor`s childreen.

This is what I could find so far about her children the Estate and trust.

Ms. Taylor was survived by four children, Michael and Christopher Wilding, Lisa Todd, and Maria Burton, and 10 grandchildren.
She founded two charities, American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Her son is one of the trustees of her trust. They have to follow her wishes set forth in that trust ..

The current trustees of the Elizabeth Taylor Trust," also known as "The Sothern Trust." are one of her attorneys, Barbara Berkowitz, her son, Christopher E. Wilding, and her personal assistant, Timothy R. Mendelson. The trust is a private document that can only be viewed by the trust's beneficiaries and trustees and their respective legal representatives and accountants.

But below we see she did leave specific requests in that trust of what she wanted to bequeth and to whom.

Elizabeth Taylor wanted to keep the details of her final wishes private by using a revocable living trust as the governing document of her estate plan, that hasn't kept one of her beneficiaries from spilling the beans publicly about what he is going to receive from the late actress's estate. Today in an interview with London's The Mail, Taylor's eighth and final husband, Larry Fortensky, revealed that he recently received a letter from the late actress's attorneys informing him that she had bequeathed him over $800,000.
