* Possible error in the report. Read PurpleParrot's post HERE

TOTAL as of July 22, 2012:
Gross Sales: $131.893.886
Attendance: 1,174,776
Number of venues / (shows): 66*^ / (164)*
* Since there is no data (for Gross Sales & Attendance) for Copps Coliseum, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada I didn't include it in this calculation
^ Total number of different venues is 63, 2 venues were visited more than once: Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada (in October 2011, March and July 2012) and Colisee Pepsi, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada (in March and May 2012).

wonderful information. please keep us updated

Ohhhh i thought u meant there was a new immortal boxset being released

^^ 8701 HAAAAAAAAAAAAA funny.

Thanks. I see about 3 cities like Oregon had lower sales. I wonder if the venue was smaller? Those numbers overall are very impressive.

Thank u for putting this together. Really good numbers both from attendance and revenue, but the costs gotta be huge since they are constantly on the road.

Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour by Cirque du Soleil continues its tour visiting Charlotte and Milwaukee:

  • March 13-14, 2012 - Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - $1.100.604 - 10,369 - (2)
  • March 16-17, 2012 - Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - $1.518.631 - 13,828 - (2)

The next stop on the tour is again Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada where it all began last October.

A little trivia: In March the tour will visit 9 cities, the most in one month since the beginning of the tour. With 20 shows in a month, March will be the second busiest after December with 34 shows.

Note: The first post updated! :)

Wow, those are impressive numbers. I am especially impressed with the turnout in my hometown (Ottawa). It's not that big of a city! And they are coming back here in July for a couple more shows.

Is anyone following Immortal's rank on largest grossing world tours? I think the title is held by U2 right now but Immortal is supposed to pass it.

I think we should not bother too much with U2 360° Tour record which is according to Billboard $736,421,586.
With 3 or 4 years of touring, The IMMORTAL World Tour can go really far in the terms of total gross. After North America it will visit Europe for six months, then maybe Asia or North America (for repeat dates) or ...
Surely it'll earn a few hundred million and it'll be one of the biggest tours ever, but I think it is much more important to visit as many places as possible to allow fans from around the world to see the show. Earnings is just icing on the cake. :)

I can't see immortal grossing more than U2 but it would be great if it did.

^^Maybe since immoral appeals to a wider demographic, if it goes global it can succeed U2 who has a more specific audience that follow them. Immortal appeals to people who like acrobats and cirque shows which are many. Then it appeals to Michael/Jackson fans, who are many, from children to grandparents, and these fans can be found around the world, so if immortal wants to continue touring it is possible they could pass the U2 mark. I remember seeing a grandmother in a wheelchair at the fanconvention. Did anyone else see her?

thank you for this, wish someone could edit immortal wikipedia and post this info there

I'm curious as to what the attendance was like at MSG............I hope it was good.

MSG should be very good, going by crowd size.

I hope they announce more MSG shows after Philly (fingers crossed)

As expected, great numbers in MSG. :)

were the MSG shows sold out?
No. There are always empty seats, but that is perfectly normal for this type of show --> audio-visual spectacle.
In Madison Square Garden Arena there were 11,027 tickets on sale per show.

thank you for this, wish someone could edit immortal wikipedia and post this info there
I can/will edit wikipedia page but not now, probably in the summer.
Regards!

thanks, 2 more questions
does the Estate get also paid for playing mj's music?
i thought MSG were sold out , since i tried to get a ticket from ticket master, but I couldn't because there weren't any left....
I couldn't either, for any of the nights. Had to get mine from eBay. But I think the majority of tickets were purchased, some by ticket scalpers to sell them for a higher price. Are these numbers how many tickets were sold or how many people actually showed up? I'm sure there were a lot of tickets that scalpers bought and they ended up not being used.

I tried Ticketsheister also but could only find nosebleed seats...not worth the expense. So my sister and I went with stubhub.com and we got excellent floor seats for a reasonable price.

Memefan you and I both are waiting for this. If it happens, I am buying tickets for different days. It seems they spent so many days in the suburbs of New York and had only a couple of days in the city. I guess MSG was booked up?

Ticketmaster sold out last December. But you can always find tix from re-sellers and 3rd party vendors, looking to make a nice profit.

Regarding "sold-out" and "not sold-out" terms, that is very relative. Many shows/concerts from various artists were "sold-out" according to Ticketmaster but weren't sold-out according to Pollstar, Billboard and/or venues reports. There can be many different reasons for that. For start, Ticketmaster doesn't have by default all available tickets. In many cases some tickets are held by the venue or artist management or... Sometimes venue/promoter release more additional tickets for sale (through Ticketmaster and/or venue's box office) even though show was previously marked as "sold-out" etc.
I won't speculate why MSG shows weren't officially sold-out and at the end of day that isn't important because THE IMMORTAL World Tour shows generate amazing numbers for both attendance and gross sales.
Also you must consider additional non-reported earnings from other various products, the merchandise. If each concert-goer spent for example $20 or $25 for the show merchandise that is additional $20+ million for the Cirque & MJ Estate so far... :)
