Uploading pictures legal?

I just wanted to know if it is legal to upload Michael Jackson pictures, is it illegal to upload some pictures?

I also feel insecure about uploading pics. To be more specific: Couldn't there be any kind of copyright infringement? I mean every picture has an owner. Am I wrong? I am still confused...

As far as i know we havent had a copyright complaint yet and their are Thousands of pics uploaded
in the Michael In The Mirror - The Michael Jackson Pictures Forum If we get a complaint of
copyright, we would just remove it .. So feel free to upload your pics.

Right it's not simple, think only the photographer can claim his copyrights.
MJJMag is very very strict with their pics (which are simply amazing ) and they protect them.

If you are selling this will become an issue, I've already been over all the finer details with both the estate and Sony and they pretty much do not own anything other than official photo shoot ones, however they let it go based on what you are doing for instance if we were making posters and selling for a profit then we would be called to action.

Continue to upload any picture even those who say they own them as in fact they do not, like i say the estate only own the official photo shoot ones.

Since I'm an admin of the Gallery and am going to upload all my photos, I just wanted to be sure about this...
There is one thing: If I upload a photo to the Gallery there is a logo placed on it, a logo of the MJJCommunity, isn't this illegal? Cause if you place a logo on something you want to say that the photo is yours, but it actually isn't...
I really just want to be sure, that I won't get sued...
