Westlake Recording Studios offers tour to MJ Fans June [Update] New Tours for 2013

Westlake Recording Studio A (where Michael recorded parts of Off The Wall, Thriller & Victory) and Studio D (where Michael recorded Captain EO, Bad, and parts of Dangerous/HIStory) is offering a tour of the facilities for Michael Jackson fans at the end of June.

Westlake Studios in Hollywood, California is now offering the exclusive Thriller Studio Tour! This intimate 3-hour-tour will take you through the locations where Michael Jackson's legendary albums "Off the Wall", "Thriller", "Bad", "Dangerous", and more were recorded. Enjoy behind-the-scenes accounts of the making of these famous recordings as only the Thriller Studio can provide. The tour begins promptly at 8am daily and runs June 21-29, 2012. They prob able do a tour and talk a lot about Michael and the studio at each stage of the tour , They may have a speaker , Play music , show pics, get photo's taken, have refreshments Etc etc

Me and a group of MJ fans from Brazil went to Los Angeles in late January, to watch the "Immortal world tour" and to visit many MJ-related places. We had the opportunity to meet Siedah Garret, (co-writer of the song "Man in the mirror" who worked with Michael during the Dangerous World Tour) at the Westlake Recording Studios (Studio D), where "Bad" was recorded.
It was an unforgettable experience for me and for all my friends, she was very kind and sweet. I would like to share this video with all MJ fans, I hope you like it!

What's wrong with giving fans of the world's biggest superstar the chance to see up close and in person the recording studio where he worked? I think it's cool they are even giving us the opportunity. Michael Jackson has the most devoted fans in the world and it's inevitable that they would want to see places where he worked and visited. If it costs $99 for a several hour tour... that doesn't seem outrageous to me. If I were in that area, I would do it.

Did you try emailing or calling them? I did. They send you a PDF form where they ask for all your card information to be emailed back to them. This is AGAINST all sanity to send credit card information in open emails. If someone intercepts it, they will be liable. Either there is someone really stupid on the other end, or it's a scam. Plus there are no terms and conditions, no information on what happens to my money if the tour is cancelled. This looks super fishy. I will try to call the Westlake Studio phone and check what's going on there.

I'll be attending this studio tour with three friends and I hope there won't be any problems. I had my doubts making the reservation, but this felt too good an oppoturnity to pass. I'll let you guys know how it was when I get back from the States!

Myself and 14 other people are scheduled to do this on 6/24. I went to Westlake Studios to deliver a cashiers check as we didn't want to give credit cards. I have received the confirmation emails and have had some correspondence with someone at Westlake in order to coordinate everything. It is legitimate. It is a 3 hour tour. I really do not think Westlake would risk their very well-known reputation in order to pull any kind of scam on the fans. If it were someone else posing as Westlake and attempting to pull a scam, I would have been told this when I entered the studio. So it's all good.
