Singer Michael Jackson entered the chapel with Liza and the director's widow, Lee Minnelli, on each arm. He sat with them and Minnelli's other daughter, Christiane Nina Miro of Mexico, throughout the service.

Actors Peck, Douglas to Give Eulogies at Minnelli Funeral

Actors Kirk Douglas and Gregory Peck will deliver eulogies at funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for veteran film director Vincente Minnelli. They will speak at Wee Kirk o' the Heather Chapel, Forest Lawn, Glendale.

Pallbearers for Minnelli, who died Friday at age 83, will be James Stewart, Kenny Rogers, Frederick de Cordova, Jack Haley Jr., Henry Mancini, Ricardo Montalban and Douglas and Peck.

Honorary pallbearers for Minnelli, who won an Oscar for "Gigi," include Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Robert Stack and Charlton Heston.

Funeral plans for Oscar-winning director Vincente Minnelli will not be divulged in an effort to keep the last rites a family affair, a mortuary spokeswoman said Sunday.

"The family requested that everything be strictly private," said Lillian Lonnon, spokeswoman for Forest Lawn Memorial Park. "The family asked that absolutely no information be given out."

Minnelli, who directed such movie classics as "Gigi," "Brigadoon" and "An American in Paris," died Friday after he failed to awaken from his usual after-dinner nap, said his wife, Lee. He had spent the day with his daughter, singer-actress Liza Minnelli, whose mother was the late singer-actress Judy Garland. He was 83.
