Today in Michael Jackson History January 12th
1972 the Jackson 5 headline two benefit concerts, for the first annual 'Martin Luther King Jr.
Birthday concert in Atlanta, Georgia, helping to raise the start-up funds for the "Martin Luther
King Jr. Center for Social Change" in Atlanta.
1994 Michael Jackson wins plagerism lawsuite suite for "The Girl Is Mine", "Thriller" & "We Are
The World". Reynaud Jones and Robert Smith alleged that the songs resembled their musical works
2003 Martin Bashir meets with Michael Jackson in his Miami Hotel for the final interview for the
"Living with Michael Jackson" documentary. After the interview Michael learns that Maurice Gibb
(who he visited the day before) has died from a heart attack in a Miami hospital.
2004 Judge ruled that cameras would not be allowed in the court room for Michael's arraignment.
2008 Michael and his 3 children attended the 'Tournament Of Kings' at the Excalibur hotel and
casino in Las Vegas (USA). 'Tournament Of Kings' is a famous dinner show. It features invading
armies, dancing maidens, fireworks, and eating with your fingers.
