When you've photographed musicians over and over again for 30 years, have hung out with them backstage, hung out with them at the annual music industry conventions, had them over to the house for BBQs, etc., you get to know them on a more personal level," Jimmy explains to Harvey Kubernik in an introduction interview in his book, "Rock `N' Roll Lens: 30 Years of Music Photography and Stories."

This square record-album size, hardbound coffee table book with glossy photographs is one hundred and four pages of photographer and author's thirty year adventure in the rock music industry. With no profanity but some strange iconic musicians' pictures, the book is geared toward any generation that loves rock and roll in America. It contains almost fifty bands or musical legends from Frank Sinatra and Tammy Wynette to Michael Jackson and Madonna, photographed during the nineteen eighties and nineties.

Jimmy Steinfeldt is a hard core rock and roll groupie who has a deep devotion and compassion to anything rock including intimate club setting venues to large mega-arena shows with backstage passes. With his upbringing love for all types of music, he originally got a degree in business management but found his taking snapshots with his one hundred dollar Minolta camera of his favorite bands and singers at concerts launched him into a successful, long-term career in photography. Going to every concert possible while growing up in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area, he moved to Los Angeles to fulfill his photography dream in the music industry.
