R.I.P. Christian Audigier Dead – Ed Hardy Designer Dies at 57

Christian Audigier, best known for his work on clothing brand Ed Hardy, has reportedly passed away at the age of 57. The fashion mogul revealed that he had been battling cancer back in April. He is survived by his daughter and two sons. His long time publicist Michele Elyzabeth told LATF USA: ‘I just heard the news and I am truly devastated. Christian was an incredibly smart, intelligent man. He will be missed.

The French entrepreneur began working in the fashion industry at the age of 14 before moving to New York in his early 20’s to work with brands including Guess, Levis, Diesel and Bisou Bisou. He then teamed up with the owner of Von Dutch to propel the brand in to the spotlight before breaking off in 2004 to popularize his own Ed Hardy brand.

I still remember how this guy broke the news that Michael would go on tour a few days before the official announcement in 2009. Here we are a little over 6 years later and he's gone, Michael has been gone for years, and the tour never happened. You never know what lies in store for tomorrow..
