I don't speak French at all but I saw this on FB. A new French book. I think the cover is so cool, I just wanted to post it. LOL.

Here is a video teaser.

The author, Brice Najar, already published two books about MJ. Available in french only, but english versions are coming.

There are so many new books lately, it seems Michael Jackson is a growth industry at the moment.

In the teaser, it looks like the book's in English. Interesting. I'm glad later albums are getting more love recently.

Hello, MJJ Community !
This is my first post since I can't get through the "Getting to know you" thread for the moment...
I'm a French Michael Jackson fan since the Bad era.
I wanted to let you know that this book "Let's Make HIStory" will be in English (original version) and French (translated version).
It contains interviews with Michael's collaborative partners on both HIStory records.
It shall be available for purchase on September 1st.

Thank you for welcoming me here !

Thanks for the information. I am glad it will be available in English.

Glad to announce that the book is now available in English (original version since the interviews were all conducted in English even though the author is French) !!
It's a great insight into the HIStory album (Begins AND Continues) studio work with many details and anecdotes and never-seen before pictures and documents.

You can get it at :

The cover is a photograph by Steven Paul Whitsitt who accepted to discuss his work with Michael Jackson in an interview you can read at bricenajar.com :

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did ! It's a real tribute to Michael's talent and work.

That cover is PHENOMENAL and goes to show something I've thought and said for many years and frankly a QUARTER of a century now and that is that Michael has AMAZING photographs throughout his life and yet most of the public to this day have barely seen but a tip of the ice burg of them. On some level manner and way that will I imagine work out for him but in some ways it seems to have hurt him over the past few decades because the public only saw certain ones. Some that were good and some that were not. And no I am not talking about any particular period over the other OR that he is holding a cool looking guitar there but he himself was beautiful at all periods of his life as far as I am concerned…

The photo is great ! I would love to read the book, given the fact that HIStory tends to be criminally overlooked ; there aren't as many books and informations on the HIStory era as others.

I will actually try the french version, its been a while since ive used the old french

Thank you so much for posting these pictures Gertie. It's so cool to see the people we owe certain sounds to. It's like finally meeting the musicians who have been playing music on the other side of the wall for years. :D

Has anyone read this book? I'm interested in buying this book but it's quite expensive on amazon so I don't wanna waste my money on a crap book. So for those that have read it, can you please tell me how is it and is it worth buying? Thanks.

Most comments on Amazon (Europe and USA) are positive and a few more interviewed people have posted pics with the book.

The book "Let's Make HIStory" written by author Brice Najar, from France, is going home with Ola Ray who starred in "Thriller".
Ola found the book in the store "As The Record Turns" in Hollywood Boulevard.
