The Jackson siblings’ first ever official publication will be released by Thames & Hudson in 2018 to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of The Jackson Five’s début single “Big Boy”.

The Jacksons: Legacy is a “comprehensive” and “definitive” book that tells the band’s story in their own words, alongside “outstanding” visuals.

The publisher holds world rights in all languages.

The title features never-before-seen pictures gained from “unparalleled access” to the family’s archives, and includes images of their mother, Katherine.

T&H will support the book with a “multilayered” promotional programme with the four surviving brothers’ involvement—Michael, the youngest of the original quintet, passed away in 2009— including a proposed TV special and live events worldwide.

I wonder if this will be like the Genesis: Chapter and Verse & Beatles Anthology books. Although those books had parts written by people behind the bands (ig. George Martin, Chester Thompson), in addition to the band members. Especially with the Genesis book.

interesting, looking forward on seeing what comes of it
