Default Dangerous outtakes - rank them best to worst.

    1. Someone Put Your Hand Out
    2. Monkey Business
    3. She Got It
    4. Do You Know Where Your Children Are
    5. If You Don't Love Me
    6. For All Time
    7. Serious Effect
    8. Work That Body

Really love all the outtakes from the Dangerous era. And to think, songs like BOTD and Superfly Sister also originate from this time. Even What About Us (original version of Earth Song) dates back to this time.

Is that all the Dangerous outtakes we currently have?

I'm also quite fond of the Dangerous demo on The Ultimate Collection. It's very midi and sounds like a demo, but it has a certain charm.

I just wish all of these were collected on one disc and given exposer. Between all these amazing outtakes there must be 3 or 4 quality albums worth of material that pass by so many people.

    1. Someone Put Your Hand Out (One of his finest ballads ever)
    2.
For All Time (This is a beautiful song, one of my most listened to. I slightly prefer the leaked version as apposed to the T25 version)
    3. Do You Know Where Your Children Are (Another classic that got away. Could have been massive at a certain point)
    4. She Got it (hear a Prince vibe on this -the guitar-with Remember The Time & a Bad era outtake,Superfly Sister, guitar is very like John Mellencamp's Jack & Diane))
    5. If You Don't Love Me (I like it a lot but find it's just a tad reptitive, although someone else said their's joy in repetition! Wink wink, nudge nudge)
    6. Work That Body (Really reminds me of Do The Bartman and it's awesome that he throws in the "Sit down girl, I think I love ya....")
    7. Monkey Business (Always great to have another track with signature "dawg gone's" and "woo hoo's")
    8. Series Effect (the keyboard near the beginning reminds me of something else. Very early 90's, the rap reminds me of Boom Shake The Room)

Even though I love SPYHO, I never listen to this song because it makes me very sad. Poor MJ is begging for love and that breaks my heart.

IIRC, They Don't Care About Us was also a Dangerous outtake

Will probably have to re-rank them all at some point. Listening to She Got It right now and it's killer! I sort of wish he had released all of these between albums as EP's or as mid-term albums with little to no promotional campaign, although he was a master at less is more and building anticipation for his musical onslaught. Add the Dangerous demo here and another track, get the track order right and you've got a brilliant album.

I started an appreciation thread for She Got It a couple of months ago. That song is an absolute killer. It should be on the next posthumous album. It deserves recognition. It's so funky.

Not one of these songs are bad. This was a tough one. LL Cool J's rap is the pits though.

No force of nature can break your will to self motivate.

Gotta say I love the Dangerous sessions. MJ was so funky and free, the best part is I don't think we've even heard the best from these sessions.

    1. Someone Put Your Hand Out - Amazing, very honest, real and emotional. I LOVE the vocals when he sings "IT'S BECAUSE I'M NEEDING THAT SOMEONE!" towards the end. I just love love love the way he sings that, it's that part of his voice that is just magical to me.
    2. For All Time - Nearly put this at number 1, it gets me so emotional, such a beautiful song.
    3. Monkey Business - Loooove this.
    4. Do You Know Where Your Children Are - Agree this is a hit that got away! Could have been huge.
    5. She Got It - Wanted to rank this higher but couldn't, again amazing.
    6. If You Don't Love Me - I like this, played it a lot when I first heard it but don't listen to it so much now.
    7. Work That Body - Really like this, but don't love it.
    8. Serious Effect - Again, it's OK but not amazing for me.

To say that we're talking about outtakes though, they're all bloody amazing! The standard of these songs is phenomenal.

    3. For all time
    4. Serious Effect (weak but nice production (Teddy?))

I pretty much hate all of the others on that list with a passion.
Some of the weakest outtakes in all of his catalog imo.

I blame it on the absence of Qunicy and his guiding judgement that these songs even made it that far in the production process.
The Off The Wall ~ Bad outtakes are almost all far superiour compared to these.
