All I know is for whatever reason, when I see new art for an MJ product like this. It excites me! i'll try not to put my hopes into this just in case

Given the New Zealand event page, I'm gonna go ahead and assume this is real. Now to speculate...

What has me stumped is that the project is titled Scream and is referred to as a "new album". With projects like Immortal or the Ultimate Fan Extras Collection, the Estate put an emphasis on "collection" and never indicated otherwise. So I'm taking that to mean that this will include at least a couple new songs.

But on the other hand, Scream is a twenty-two year old song. Why would it be the name of the new album?

I'm thinking either (a) there's a second Scream we don't know about, (b) they're releasing the solo version that we've had for God knows how many years, or (c) it's a History-type deal, greatest hits mixed with new tunes.

Someone on the Archives pointed out that perhaps the Estate is trying to go out with a bang and make 2017 the year of Michael Jackson. And that does make some sense -- a new album, Thriller 3D premiering at film festivals, and a CBS Halloween special, all coinciding with the official end of the Sony contract.

I'm incredibly excited to see what comes next.

D'Angelo, Drake, U2, Beyonce and Rihanna surprise released albums without any build-up whatsoever. Jay-Z's last two albums were announced three weeks before they hit shelves. Maybe they're taking some cues from them?

Also, 'Scream' is not a 'Halloween' type of song. On the other hand, it would be a great song to end the court cases brought by Wade and Jimmy

Your lies are disgusting, What does it mean
Kicking me down, I gotta get up
As jacked as it sounds, The whole system sucks

You tell me I'm wrong, then you better prove you're right
You're sellin' out souls but I care about mine
I've got to get stronger And I won't give up the fight
With such confusion don't it make you wanna scream
You're bash abusing victimize within the scheme
You try to cope with every lie they scrutinize
Somebody please have mercy 'cause I just can't take it
Stop pressurin' me, Just stop pressurin' me
Stop pressurin' me, Make me wanna scream
Tired of tellin' the story your way
You're causin' confusion, You think it's okay
You keep changin' the rules, While you keep plain' the game
I can't take it much longer, I think I might go insane
with such confusion, Don't it make you wanna scream
Your bach abusin' victimize within the scheme, You find your pleasure scandalizin' every lie

    Any others?
Off The Wall, & Blame It On The Boogie would be good choices.

Well considering they don't show MJs real face on the cover I would guess it could be real. The estate doesn't like to use his face. Smh. Now I'm just being sassy lol

“Now we have ‘Thriller’ 3-D and two more announcements are coming up in the next couple of
weeks,” Branca said in an interview, declining to elaborate further.

    Interesting!

I'm seeing that the Estate gave away these tees in Venice:
(I do hope it will be for sale. I forsee a best seller...though I'd prefer it without that lettering! )

But a Halloween EP wouldn't have to contain new music, would it?

So somebody took these cool t-shirts and made it look like a new album?

    Nope.

It's one of the two new projects being released "in the next couple of weeks".

This could be just an compilation album. Old songs and remixes.
