Was Michael fan of Tolkien?

Hi Not sure if this belongs here since it's my very first thread.
It's well known he was a fan of SW (I'm not, at all to be honest lol), but since I'm a massive fan of Tolkien myself, always wondered if he was a Lord of the Rings fan? So far didn't find any info on that regard. Does any one know if he ever mentioned it? Thanks and nice to meet you

I was wondering the same thing yesterday! I know he liked Harry Potter but I'm not sure about Tolkien.

He also had a great love for the cinema and used to watch the whole of Lord of the Rings ON MUTE with his son, Prince, explaining to him directorial decisions like why the camera pans a certain way in one scene and changes in the next, etc.

Hmm I wish that quora comment is true but since there's no reference I'm taking it with a grain of salt. That said, can picture him doing that if he indeed liked the movies :kickass:

UPDATE Okay guys, apparently he was a fan of The lord of the Rings, Karen F said that on twitter, and there's an interview of Prince saying they watched the movies together
