I have mixed feelings about them; if the impersonator is good I can enjoy the performance, however, it makes me very sad to know that's the closest thing I can have of a Michael concert...........
I don't know why people have to be so hateful towards impersonators. They're doing something they love and they just happen to perform like a celebrity. It's not harmful or damaging to their legacies. And some people cannot afford to see the real thing or weren't able to see the real thing,so impersonators are the next best thing,IMO. I personally am biased because I am an impersonator/tribute artist/dance-a-like,but my opinion still stands.
Of course it's not the same, yet I like the feeling of being surrounded by other fans who are just as passionate and we can sing along during the performance. Maybe, more than a concert, I see it as an MJ party celebration. Of course, this is only my opinion though.
You're literally wasting this entire thread away by discrediting other people's opinions and saying that your opinion is the right opinion.Impersonators can never be the guy they're impersonating. In my opinion they should be a whole another artist.

And you're just saying this because you're an impersonator.

Not even in the slightest am I saying that because I'm an impersonator. I'm saying what I'm saying because you're being rude and discrediting people's opinions and saying that your opinion is fact and everyone else that disagrees with what you're saying is wrong. Stop saying that your opinion is the gospel truth when it isn't.
I don't have a problem with it. The old saying "imitation is the highest form of flattery" seems valid here. I don't think mj had a problem with it either. I will say it depends how far some impersonators go.
