$100K For Legal Fees Elvis' drug-addled daughter has said she only has $14K to her name.

A Los Angeles court judge ordered Lisa Marie Presley to pay $100,000 of her ex’s attorneys fees, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

Elvis‘ troubled daughter appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, February 28, with her attorney, who complained her estranged husband, Michael Lockwood, had incurred more than $500,000 in fees.

Attorneys for both sides sparred back and forth over fees, and also information included in documents filed in court. Presley’s attorney claimed Lockwood included portions of a declaration from his client where she said she had used drugs during their marriage.

As Radar exclusively reported, Presley said she was “abusing cocaine terribly” between 2013 and 2016, and went to rehab up to five times.

Lockwood’s attorney, Jeff Sturman, responded by saying Presley also included damaging materials in prior court filings regarding a Dependency Court case that involved the former couple’s 9-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.

The judge ordered Presley to pay Lockwood’s $100,000 attorney fees within 30 days as both sides prepare for trial, which is scheduled to start in August.

Lockwood’s attorney said Presley still has not provided accurate accounting of all of her finances.

“She’s got a lot more money out there, but she just not telling us,” Sturman alleged to the judge.

The star cried poor in a recent lawsuit against her former business manager, claiming he squandered her $100 million fortune by investing in American Idol. She told the court she had just $14,000 in cash, and $500,000 in credit card debt.

So Lockwood did give those custody court docs to Radar

LISA MARIE PRESLEY
ORDERED TO PAY HUBBY $100K
http://m.tmz.com/#!article/2018/02/...y-estranged-husband-michael-lockwood-divorce/

Lisa Marie Presley has to ante up $100,000 to her estranged husband ... a particularly difficult task since she says she's flat broke.

The judge in her divorce case ordered the payment to Michael Lockwood within 30 days. It's unclear how she'll pay the loot, because she claims she's $16 million in the hole.

Lockwood has claimed Lisa's lying about her assets, alleging she rakes in way more money than she spends.

The $100k is for Lockwood's attorney's fees. He wanted $450k, so in a way it's a victory for her ... at least in the short term.

Pay up! Lisa Marie Presley, 50, 'court ordered to write estranged husband a $100K check'... even though she claims to have only $14K to her name. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...esley-ordered-pay-estranged-husband-100K.html

A judge has said she must write her estranged husband Michael Lockwood a check for $100,000 to cover his legal fees, according to TMZ.

This comes after the daughter of Elvis Presley claimed she is $16m in debt. The former singer added she has $500,000 in credit card debt and only $14,000 to her name.

She has to pay: Lisa Marie Presley has been ordered to write her estranged husband Michael Lockwood a check for $100,000 to cover his legal fees, according to TMZ; seen in 2015
Lockwood had originally wanted $450,000 for his legal fees, so the $100,000 is not a big win in his eyes.

It has also been adding that Michael thinks she is lying about being broke and insists she makes more than she spends.

The couple share twin girls - Harper and Finley, nine - while Lisa is also mother to Riley Keough, 28, and Benjamin Keough, 25, with ex husband Danny Keough.

The Vogue cover girl is also in a legal battle with her former manager Barry Siegel.

The singer is currently embroiled in a dispute with the businessman - who she has blamed for her fortune disappearing, and is suing for breach of trust, negligence and constructive fraud

According to The Blast, Lisa had $100 million in assets, but is now down to her last $14,000 with a hefty amount of credit card debt - which she also claims Barry is responsible for - still to pay.

The lawsuit attained by the site claims Lisa's former employee sold 85 per cent of her interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) - a corporate entity created by The Elvis Presley Trust to conduct business and manage its assets, including Graceland.

The site also reports Lisa, who is the daughter of iconic musician Elvis Presley, is $500,000 in credit card debt, despite having less than a fifth of this amount in the bank.

The singer has gone on to accuse Siegel of putting 'his own best interests ahead of her', with 'bad communications' on his part resulting in her financial woe.

Lisa has also claimed Barry purchased a lavish property in England for $9 million using money from the trust - which put her in a financially difficult situation, as he was unable to make the $6.7 million outstanding principal sum on the home.

However, a statement issued by Siegel's legal representative Leon Gladstone, claimed Lisa was using blame tactics.

It read: 'It's clear Lisa Marie is going through a difficult time in her life and looking to blame others instead of taking responsibility for her actions.'

They added that in 2005, when the deal was made and 85 per cent of her interest was sold, she had a $20 million debt cleared, as well as $40 million in cash and a steady income.

Yet, the statement also noted that she 'managed to squander' most of this amount in the following years.

Gladstone added: 'My clients, Barry Siegel and Provident Financial Management, stuck by her and in return, Lisa Marie stopped paying them and is now blaming them for her uncontrollable spending habits.

'We are confident people will see through the talk and we will prevail in our case against her.'

MailOnline has contacted Lisa's representatives for comment.

Lisa Marie Presley: Judge rules that she pay Lockwood $100,000 in 30 days
Major money issues continue for Lisa Marie Presley as she continues to face legal battles.
https://us.blastingnews.com/showbiz...pay-lockwood-100000-in-30-days-002399901.html

lisa marie presley has been ordered by the courts to pay soon-to-be-ex-husband Michael #Lockwood $100,000 to cover his legal fees. $100,000 might as well be a million dollars at this point with Lisa Marie Presley's current financial situation. However, it could be worse for the daughter of the King of Rock and Roll, he could have won the original amount of $450,000.

Small but stressful victory for Lisa Marie Presley.

The worst part...Lisa has only thirty days to pay Michael Lockwood. This could be a tough task for Presley who has recently revealed she is broke, has no income, and is living with her daughter. It is not clear how she will manage to come up with the cash for Lockwood's legal fees [VIDEO] in such a short amount of time.

Will Priscilla Presley help her daughter in her time of need?

Perhaps her mother Priscillia Presley will step up and make an offer to help out her daughter in her time of need. Priscilla is said to be worth about $100 million herself according to a report from Wealtholio in 2017. It has been a very trying few months for Lisa Marie. Lockwood claims she is totally lying about her finances, saying she brings in more money than she spends.

But, Lisa's former business manager Barry Siegel claims Lisa has a problem with overspending beyond her means. Which is part of her money problem. Presley claims it was Siegel's poor management and bad business deals that wiped out all her Elvis Presley inheritance.

As previously reported, Lisa Marie revealed in court papers that she was not only broke, but that she also suffered a very serious drug problem [VIDEO] with cocaine and prescription pills during the last two years of her marriage.

This could pose a few issues for LMP. First off, there is a custody case between Lisa and Michael for the couple's twin daughters, Harper and Finley. So, hopefully coming clean about her past issues will work for her and not against her.

It could also reveal to the courts where a lot of Lisa's money has gone. Between buying drugs and checking into very expensive rehab facilities (five times according to Presley), it may help with the outrageous amount of spousal support Lockwood is demanding per month.

It has not been revealed when Presley and Lockwood's divorce hearing will wrap up, so it remains to be seen whether or not things will go Lisa's way.

It is going to continue to be a long road for Lisa Marie Presley. Do you agree with the #Judge's order so far?

Lisa Marie Presley Ordered to Pay Ex Michael Lockwood $100,000 http://m.eonline.com/news/917086/li...even-though-she-says-she-s-16-million-in-debt

The famed daughter of Elvis Presley was dealt a new financial card on Wednesday in the midst of her ongoing divorce case against ex Michael Lockwood. Inside a Los Angeles court room, Presley and Lockwood stood beside their attorneys as Judge Patrick Cathcart ordered the singer-songwriter to pay her estranged husband $100,000. The figure is to cover his attorney's projected fees in preparation for their August trial in their divorce case stemming from 2016.

Presley has 30 days to pay him the full amount. Meanwhile, Judge Cathcart said additional attorney fees requested to cover work that's already been done up to this point for this divorce case will be determined during the August trial.

The mother of four was stoic during the hearing and sported sunglasses, E! News has learned. Both Presley and Lockwood did not speak during the hearing nor did they acknowledge each other afterward in the hallway.

The ruling comes on the heels of newly filed legal documents from Presley alleging she is more than $16 million in debt, including $10 million in tax bills from years past and more than $47,800 in credit card bills.

Presley detailed her debts in response to her ex's request that she pay more than $450,000 to cover his overall attorney fees stemming from this case and their dependency case. Last year, a judge ruled for her to pay $50,000 in five months to cover her ex's legal fees until a trial took place to determine the validity of their postnuptial agreement.

Lisa Marie Presley Ordered to Pay Estranged Husband Michael Lockwood $100,000: Report www.People.com

Lisa Marie Presley has reportedly received another financial blow. Weeks after filing a lawsuit claiming that financial mismanagement on the part of her ex-manager has ravaged her family fortune and left her $16.7 million in debt, the daughter of rock royalty has been ordered to pay her estranged husband Michael Lockwood $100,000 by Judge Patrick Cathcart.

According to E! News, the ruling — which was handed down in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday — was intended to cover Lockwood’s attorney fees for their upcoming divorce trial scheduled for August. In February 2017, the court mandated that she pay $50,000 in Lockwood’s legal fees as the pair battled over spousal support.

Presley, who claims that her $100 million estate has dwindled to just $14,000, reportedly has 30 days to pay the $100,000 to Lockwood.
Presley is also in the midst of a series of legal clash with her former financial manager Barry Siegel, claiming his “reckless and negligent mismanagement” of her funds bankrupted her estate. Siegel, however, claims Presley “squandered” her own fortune due to her “excessive spending” habits.

Earlier this month, court documents relating to Presley’s ongoing divorce from Lockwood revealed she owes debts in a number of areas, including income taxes, a defaulted mortgage and credit card bills.

Presley states she currently receives a monthly salary of $4,361 from her father’s estate, as well as $100,000 in dividends and interest from investments.

Lockwood, Presley’s fourth husband, married her 2006. The pair welcomed their twin daughters Harper and Finley in 2008 before the Graceland successor filed for divorce in June 2016, citing irreconcilable differences and claiming Lockwood was a poor father and “took advantage” of her financially.

Pay up! Lisa Marie Presley, 50, is ordered to pay estranged husband $100,000 in attorney fees - less than a third of what he wanted....UPDATE

Lisa Marie Presley has been ordered to pay her estranged husband Michael Lockwood $100,000 in attorney fees - though it's less than a third of what he was asking for.

Lockwood, 56 - who is fighting a bitter divorce battle with Elvis Presley’s only child - went to Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday to demand almost a half million dollars in past and future attorney expenses.

But Judge Patrick Cathcart awarded him $100,000, saying, ‘that should be sufficient’ to prepare for the couple’s upcoming divorce trial, set for August 13.

Judge Cathcart decided that the issue of an additional $188,000 Lockwood was asking for in attorney costs already incurred, should be decided at the August trial.

Presley, 50 was in court Wednesday sitting several rows in front of Lockwood who was wearing a dark suit and carrying his trademark black fedora. They ignored each other during the 20-minute proceedings.

As well as the $188,000 he claims has already been spent on legal expenses, Lockwood’s attorney Jeff Sturman asked the judge to award the musician another $276,000 to cover future lawyer fees for the upcoming divorce trial and costs of settling the custody of the couple’s nine-year-old twin daughters, Finley and Harper.

Sturman complained of Presley’s ‘conflicting reports’ about her income, which he said are ‘all over the place', adding: 'She has misrepresented her income.'

He said: ’She has paid her own attorneys $200,000. She claims to have $125,000 (a month) expenses but only $100,000 in income. Where does the other money come from?’

Sturman also said Lockwood is ‘in a situation of economic duress, Miss Presley has a lot more money out there - she just isn’t telling us where it is.

'She is a well financed person who can clearly afford the lawyers she wants.’

Presley’s attorney Gary Fishbein called Lockwood’s demand for a total of $464,000 in legal fees ‘overstated’ and ‘overfilling.’

'These legal fees are not appropriate and she cannot pay that,’ said Fishbein who added that Lisa Marie is willing to pay just $40,000 in attorney fees for him to prepare for the divorce trial.

‘It is more than sufficient to prepare for trial - it’s all he’s entitled to, no more.’

Awarding Lockwood $100,000 for trial preparation, Judge Cathcart ordered that this money has to be paid by Presley within 30 days.

At another court hearing earlier this month, Lockwood’s lawyer, Sturman, accused Lisa Marie of deliberately hiding her wealth from her estranged husband who has claimed in court papers that she makes around $4.2 million a year, or $350,000 a month - mostly from the trust her father set up for her.

Sturman complained to Judge Cathcart at that time that a list of Presley’s assets and debts her attorneys provided to the court is ‘completely useless.’

He went down all the items of the list - including household furnishings, jewelry, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, retirement funds and pensions and her father’s trust. And against each item Presley’s lawyers had written ‘value unknown.’

‘This is somebody who is making a deliberate choice to fail to disclose,’ he told the court. ‘What is in the trust? Is she holding $50 million there? We don’t know. We don’t know what she’s worth because they won’t give us any documents.’

Lisa Marie claims in court documents that she’s some $16.8 million in debt, ten million of which is owed in back taxes.

And last week she filed a separate lawsuit in LA against her former business manager, Barry J. Siegel, accusing him of frittering away her $100 million trust fund, leaving her with just $14,000.

Siegel has countersued, demanding $800,000 in damages and insisting that Presley ’squandered’ away her fortune because of her ‘uncontrollable spending habits.’

Meanwhile, Lockwood says in court documents that he has been reduced from living in luxury with Elvis Presley’s only child, to having just $435 in his bank account and earning only $20-$25 an hour as a part-time guitar technician and musician.

He also claims he has around $50,000 of credit card debt and owes his lawyers almost $300,000.

He wants Lisa Marie to pay him $263,000 a year so that he can ‘enjoy a lifestyle that is closer to my marital status of living….and it will be substantially above the subsistence standard of living at which I am currently living.’

Whether Lockwood is entitled to spousal support from Presley hinges on whether a post-nuptial agreement - which the couple signed in 2007 - is ruled valid or invalid by the court.

The agreement said that neither party should have a claim on the other if the marriage broke up.

But Lockwood is demanding that the prenup should be torn up, saying he was coerced into signing it.

Judge Cathcart continued the case until after the post-nuptial issue is settled and referred it to a different courtroom at LA Superior Court where Judge Thomas Lewis set the trial date of August 13.

But Judge Lewis also scheduled a mandatory settlement conference for June 8 in the hope that Presley, Lockwood and their lawyers can reach an agreement without having to go to trial.

War of words continues between Lisa Marie Presley and former business manager in lawsuit aftermathhttps://www.commercialappeal.com/st...s-manager-continues-after-lawsuits/386230002/

The war of words continues between Lisa Marie Presley and former business manager Barry Siegel, who have sued one another over the loss of most of Presley's fortune.

Presley released a statement through attorney Amjad M. Khan, disputing assertions that she knew how her money was being spent, but twice lost a fortune because of reckless spending.

"Mr. Siegel was not only Ms. Presley's business manager, he was the trustee of the Presley estate," Khan said. "So it was his legal obligation to make sure the estate was managed properly .... This is what he was paid and trusted to do, and he entirely failed to live up to his obligations."

Attorneys for each side have been sparring verbally since lawsuits became public last week. Presley, the only child of Elvis, claims her $100 million fortune is down to $14,000 because Siegel acted in his own best interests in making business decisions. She claims "reckless and negligent mismanagement."

A competing lawsuit on behalf of Siegel and Provident FM LLC, through which Siegel managed Presley's money, claims she was kept informed but twice lost a fortune because of out-of-control spending.

"He (Siegel) conned Ms. Presley into believing he was competently managing the estate when in reality he was just serving his own interests," Khan said. "Eventually, though, Ms. Presley discovered the truth and fired him and his company ...."

Khan said Presley has paid Siegel more than $7 million in professional fees over the past 10 years, and "now he has the audacity to sue her for $800,000 more."

Leon Gladstone, the attorney for Provident and Siegel, also has spoken out since the lawsuits became public. He said it was "clear Lisa Marie is going through a difficult time," but was responding by blaming others for her problems.

A court will sort out the dispute. The suits were filed in Superior Court in California.

michaellockwoodthemusician I appreciate all the comments everyone has left. Last night @ssvintageguitars took down the post of my guitars. This morning I received an email from them;
Hey Michael-

We don’t have any of your guitars. They were sold a long time ago. These guitars were purchased legally. You should’ve gotten the police involved right away. I’m sorry for your situation, but you need to put yourself in our shoes. You called and asked for us to give you back old guitars of yours...for free. Now you’re trying to drag our name in the mud and hurt our business. Shame on you man. We run an honest business, and have so for nearly 30 years. It’s time for you to do the right thing.”””” What they left out was I spoke to them they agreed they had the @gretsch red Falcon but wanted me to pay over 5 thousand for it. I tried to work out anything with them. He failed to mention that they had sold several of my instruments, I explained to him why I had not contacted the authorities and I wanted to do this without them or lawyers. He stopped returning my calls or emails.

Desperate For Cash! Lisa Marie Secretly Penning Explosive Tell-All To Get Out Of Debt

Presley taking ugly custody war with Michael Lockwood to the next level. Lisa Marie Presley is taking her ugly custody war with Michael Lockwood to the next level by secretly penning an explosive tell-all autobiography, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively!

Elvis Presley’s only daughter, who’s trapped in a toxic divorce battle with the 56-year-old musician after their ten-year marriage imploded in 2016, continues to fight for full custody of nine-year-old twin daughters Finley and Harper. She’s also in debt to the tune of $16.7 million and has filed a lawsuit accusing her ex-manager of financial mismanagement.

Now, she’s in hush-hush talks to cash in with a blockbuster book!

“Lisa has been through hell and back in the past few years with her marriage ending and a legal battle with her former manager — who she claims squandered millions of dollars,” a source close to the desperate 50-year-old dished.

“Not only does she want to tell her side of the story and have full control over it, but she’s hoping to make a lot of money to pay off her debts.”

Sources told Radar exclusively how the tome will chronicle her experiences growing up as the only daughter of The King, and the pressures of fame and fortune.

Lisa is expected to detail her addictions, how she was steeped in cocaine, pills and booze at the end of her marriage — and her five trips to rehab.

“Lisa has one hell of a story to tell,” the insider spilled. “It’s likely to ruffle a lot of feathers with family and friends. She’s already burned plenty of bridges, but she won’t be holding back.

“Lisa doesn’t yet have a publishing deal but she will undoubtedly have a lot of offers in the coming months. Besides that, she has to wait until her legal issues are sorted out.”

Sources familiar with the case believe the divorce and custody arrangements will be finalized this year.

Lisa, who claims her $100 million estate is now just $14,000, was dealt another financial blow in February when a judge ordered her to pay $100,000 towards her ex’s legal fees — within 30 days!

“There’s nothing more motivating than money,” a source spilled. “Especially for someone as desperate as Lisa!”

I was just scanning all the posts here, and they make me sad. I know that Lisa has "trashed" Michael in the past, but I`m not really following her life. I just get this feeling that she is restless and does not find peace and a real home in this life. And I strongly believe that most people do not start drug abuse for entertainment / fun. I also feel for her twins, who knows what they had to witness before.

Yuuup its really sad and very surprising (eg.cocaine revelation), especially since she seemed so happy with Lockwood and content with her life in the UK, during all the interviews she had done for Storm & Grace. However, I guess not everything appeared as it seems when you read between the lines, of allegations they have made against each other. Who is really telling the truth?

Lisa Marie’s Ex-Manager Demands Court Dismiss Lawsuit Alleging He Wasted Her Fortune Barry J. Siegel claims Presley spent her own $100 million.

Lisa Marie Presley’s former business manager claims she squandered millions of dollars of her famous father’s fortune, and is asking the court to dismiss her shocking claims against him, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

In court documents obtained exclusively by Radar, Barry J. Siegel’s attorney said Presley, 50, is blaming Siegel for her uncontrollable spending. The affidavit is a response to Presley’s petition filed in Los Angeles Probate Court that alleges her ex-business manager lost her $100 million fortune by investing in American Idol, and left her in $500,000 in credit card debt.

Elvis Presley’s daughter accused Siegel of “reckless and negligent mismanagement and self-serving ambition,” in court documents filed on February 21, 2018. Presley is suing Siegel for “breach of trust, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, constructive fraud negligence, negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment and accounting.

Siegel’s attorney, Leon Gladstone, said Presley’s motion should not be discussed in probate proceedings, but instead belongs in civil court. He added arguing Presley’s motion in Probate Court would deprive Siegel of his constitutional right to a jury trial.

“Presley concedes that, in retrospect, she could an should have ‘enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle’ and lived ‘comfortably’ on the $1.5 to $2 million she received annually from 2005 forward,” Gladstone wrote in the affidavit. “While the untouched $40 million could have grown (by her estimate) as much as $75 million. In other words, the 2007 transaction effectively set Presley up to receive a steady, substantial stream of income while while she secured a fortune in the tens of millions of dollars— if only she had kept her hands off the $40 million.”

Presley’s allegations are “self-serving” and should be dismissed by the court or transferred to the Cilvil Department, Gladstone said.

The attorney added the bulk of Presley’s allegations are contradictory. Although Presley faults Siegel for using the Trust assets as collateral to obtain her $9 million estate in the U.K., “she does not (and cannot) allege that she did not authorize the transaction,” Gladstone wrote in the court document.

Meanwhile, Elvis’ famous daughter is due in court Friday for a hearing on her ongoing divorce battle with ex Michael Lockwood, who is demanding financial support from her.

Presley claimed she fired Siegel in 2015, “after discovering that Siegel had kept LMP [Lisa Marie Presley] in the dark about the Trust’s true financial condition, having lost more than $100 million of the Trust’s net worth in a matter of only 10 years, and putting the trust deeply into debt,” according to court docs obtained by Radar.

She blamed the financial crisis on “a single decision in 2005 to sell 85% of the Trust’s stuck in “Elvis Presley Enterprise,’” in the documents.

Presley provided text messages with Siegel that she claimed show she was mislead by him into believing her finances were solvent.

“January 26, 2012: Lisa asks How is everything going with my finances? Siegel replies ‘We are in good shape on your finances… I understand you’re going to Memphis at the end of the month. Any plans to tour now?”

Another text from Siegel to Presley read: “May 16, 2013 I would like to set up a meeting to go over finances… We are OK and I would like to go over the tour budget with you when I get back… Hope all is well Barry.”

As soon as we sell the properties I will start the search for the proper plane this is doable (sic).”

Presley also claimed a text message from Siegel tried to convince her she was not having money troubles in docs obtained by Radar.

“May 24, 2014 Barry writes I know this has been a very difficult time for you and be assured that we are doing everything on our end to maintain both your current lifestyle in the future security of your family.”

Presley and Siegel are scheduled to meet in court on June 18, 2018.

Victory! Lisa Marie Presley Wins Fight To Keep Manager Lawsuit In Probate Court
Elvis' troubled daughter has accused her former confidant of squandering her fortune.

A Los Angeles judge ruled Lisa Marie Presley can keep her fight in Probate Court against her former business manager, whom the troubled singer alleges squandered millions of dollars of her famous father’s fortune, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

Elvis Presley‘s daughter accused Siegel of “reckless and negligent mismanagement and self-serving ambition,” in court documents filed on February 21, 2018.

Presley is suing Siegel for “breach of trust, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, constructive fraud negligent, negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment and accounting.”

Siegel has denied the claims, and said Presley is blaming him for her uncontrollable spending. Siegel’s attorney’s have argued Presley’s petition belongs in Civil Court and keeping the case in Probate deprives Siegel of his constitutional right to a jury trial.

On Monday, however, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert S. Wade said he is able to hear both Probate and Civil cases, and denied Siegel’s motion to strike Presley’s petition “without prejudice.”

Presley claims Siegel was in charge of all of her business affairs and blamed Siegel and his business management firm, Provident Financial Management, for losing $100 million of her father’s fortune by investing in American Idol.

While she won a small battle in court this week, Presley is also fighting a civil suit filed in February by Provident Financial Management. Leon Gladstone, Providential Management and Siegel’s attorney, said in a Feb 21, 2018 affidavit that Presley’s claims were “self-serving.” Gladstone said when Elvis Presley’s Trust was first established, it was receiving millions of annual income.

“However, Lisa’s continuous, excessive spending and reliance on credit far exceed what the Trust could pay her from income alone,” Gladstone wrote in the affidavit. “To meet her demands for cash, the co-trustee (an officer of National Bank of Commerce) obtained a series of loans secured by EPE (Elis Presley Enterprises) assets. That still was not enough, and Lisa’s spendthrift habits soon put the Trust into millions of dollars of debt. By 2003, EPE has accumulated $20 million in debt, and the Trust itself was underwater by millions of dollars.”

Provident’s case against Presley is slated for a hearing on August 20, while Presley’s Probate Court petition against Siegel will be back in court on July 30.

Lisa Marie Presley’s Estranged Husband Claims Post-Nup Was ‘Unfair’ In Bitter Divorce

Elvis’ daughter left baby daddy broke when they split up!

She left me broke!

Lisa Marie Presley’s post-nuptial agreement with her estranged husband, left him broke and gave her an “unfair advantage,” in their bitter divorce he claimed in court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Elvis’ daughter is locked in a vicious feud with Lockwood and in his latest legal filing he begged the judge to toss out the financial settlement they agreed to as they were separating.

“The post nuptial agreement is not valid and is not enforceable because it gave petitioner, Lisa Marie Presley, an unfair advantage,” the documents filed on July 26, 2018 and obtained by Radar stated.

Lockwood, the father of their twins, Harper and Finley, is fighting Presley for a huge financial windfall , but claims that he has been left “impoverished” by their split.

“Moreover, it would be unconscionable to enforce the post-nuptial agreement at this time because that would leave Respondent impoverished Opens a New Window. , as he has been since the parties separated in June 2016,” the court docs said.

Lockwood’s attorneys argued that he was blindsided by the monetary agreement he signed.

“The evidence will show that the post nuptial agreement was presented to the Respondent on the day that he signed it. He had not read it. It was not the product of negotiation. It provided respondent with no benefits. Instead, it purportedly results in respondent waiving his rights to spousal support,” the court papers said.

Presley and Lockwood are scheduled to face off during a trial slated to begin in August, with both parties prepared to testify in the case.

EXCLUSIVE
Lisa Marie Presley’s Ex Claims He Got ‘Nothing’ In Post-Nup, Calls Agreement Invalid

According to court documents obtained by Radar, Lockwood calls his former wife a “woman of substantial means” — while he remains in “negative net worth!”

In a July 26 affidavit, Lockwood asked a judge to rule the 2007 post-nuptial paperwork as invalid, claiming he was not allowed the opportunity to thoroughly review or discuss the agreement before he signed it.

READ THE SHOCKING COURT DOCUMENTS https://radaronline.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/lisa-marie-presley-divorce-docs-signed.pdf

Presley, 50, and Lockwood, who separated in June 2016 after 10 years of marriage, have been locked in a nasty divorce and also a separate case involving their children, 9-year old twins Harper and Finley.

Lockwood, a professional musician, said in the affidavit that the post-nup did not state Presley insisted he “work only for her, that he had no other income, that there was no employment contract, and that she could fire him and stop paying him at any time.”

Under the agreement, both parties had to make full disclosure of their property and financial obligations, but Lockwood, 57, claims Elvis’ famous daughter “had only a single page with three lines” summarizing her assets, which said her net worth was at about $63 million.

Meanwhile, the agreement listed Lockwood as having “negative net

“There was no ‘fair, reasonable and full disclosure,'” Lockwood’s attorneys argued in the affidavit.

Lockwood added the post-nuptial agreement also did not identify various properties that they acquired during their marriage, including an English estate called Coes Hall, which Presley purchased in 2010 for $9 million.

According to court documents, Presley used her famous father’s trust as collateral to purchase Coes Hall. Presley is currently fighting another court battle against her former business manager, Barry Siegel, whom Presley claims mismanaged her finances for years.

While Lockwood claims Presley continues to live an extravagant lifestyle, Presley has said she is in deep debt and could lose her properties.

“I currently owe back taxes to the Internal Revenue Services of approximately one and one-half million dollars, and over five million dollars to the Government of the United Kingdom,” Presley wrote in a February 2017 declaration. “I owe approximately $250,000 in state taxes and have hundreds of thousands of dollars of assertional debt. … The house in England to which [Lockwood] refers, is no longer an asset. It has a negative value as my former business manager [Siegel] failed to make payments and now the taxes owed are in excess of the value of the property. I will be responsible for any deficiencies if the property is seized.”

In that 2017 declaration, Presley also said she had not had stable housing since relocating to California in June 2016.

“I lived briefly with my mother, in treatment, then with friends rent-free,” Presley said in the February 2017 declaration. “I currently live in the home of my adult daughter, Riley Keough, and her husband. I do not pay rent or a mortgage in that residence, but I do contribute to the household expenses by paying for Riley’s housekeeper as well as additional household supplies.”

Presley also claimed Lockwood allegedly used her credit cards to purchase extravagant gifts without her consent, which she stopped when she became aware of what he had done.

Presley says she does received about $100,000 per month from her inheritance and a “modest salary of about $4,300 per month as an employee of Graceland. Presley, however, claims her mounting debt was caused by Siegel’s mismanagement. Presley has filed a separate complaint against Siegel and the financial management company.

Siegel, who has filed a countersuit, has denied Presley’s allegations and maintains Presley’s financial problems were caused by her own exorbitant spending. A hearing has been scheduled in December for that case.

In the meantime, Lockwood and Presley are scheduled to appear at a Los Angeles court on Aug. 13.

--------------------------------------------------

I can't see Lockwood winning this, because his arguments just don't hold up, especially for someone who has been working for along time in the music biz. Plus both his Twitter and Instagram accounts contradict his so-called “negative net worth!”

Singer Denies Agreement Gave Her Unfair Advantage in Divorce https://lawestmedia.com/lawest/presley-denies-divorce-agreement-unfair/

Lisa Marie Presley’s post-nuptial agreement with her estranged husband did not give her an unfair advantage in the estranged couple’s divorce, according to new court papers filed by her attorney.

“On its face, the agreement is valid and enforceable and represents a carefully bargained-for agreement between spouses to modify property rights and waive spousal support,” Presley lawyer Gary Fishbein says in court papers filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court regarding the upcoming trial of issues between his client and Michael Lockwood. “There are no provisions in the agreement that give one party an advantage over the other.”

The evaluation contrasts with that presented by Lockwood’s lawyer, Jeff Sturman, who stated in court papers filed Thursday that the post-nuptial agreement is not valid or enforceable because it gives Presley an unfair advantage.

Lockwood and Presley have twins, Harper and Finley. He alleges he has been left broke by the couple’s breakup.

“Moreover, it would be unconscionable to enforce the post-nuptial agreement at this time because that would leave (Lockwood) impoverished, as he has been since the parties separated in June 2016,” Sturman’s court papers state.

Sturman further maintains that Lockwood was blindsided by the monetary agreement he signed.

“The evidence will show that the post-nuptial agreement was presented to (Lockwood) on the day that he signed it,” Sturman’s court papers state. “He had not read it. It was not the product of negotiation. It provided respondent with no benefits.”

Instead, the agreement implies that Lockwood is waiving his rights to spousal support,’ according to Sturman’s court papers.

But in his court papers, Fishbein says Lockwood’s arguments have no merit.

“In other words, (Lockwood) is asking the court to disregard the law, disregard the facts, disregard the language in the agreement and then find the agreement unenforceable because (Lockwood) cannot remember what happened,” Fishbein’s court papers state. “Unfortunately for (Lockwood), the law is not on his side.”

If claiming ignorance … were grounds to void a contract, “then virtually no contract would be safe from attack,” Fishbein states in his court papers.

But in his court papers, Sturman says “there is no doubt the court should determine that the post-nuptial agreement is invalid and unenforceable” and that the evidence will prove that assertion at trial.

“Any other result will be unjust and inequitable,” Sturman’s court papers state.

Presley, 50, and Lockwood met in 2003 when she hired him as musical director for her band and for her first record, Fishbein’s court papers state. She paid him $3,500 weekly and the two agreed he would not work for anyone else, Fishbein’s court papers state.

Presley filed for divorce in June 2016.

Trial of the issues is scheduled to begin Aug. 13 before Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman.

Judge Orders Accounting Report From Former Presley Business Manager https://mynewsla.com/business/2018/...-report-from-former-presley-business-manager/

Lisa Marie Presley won what her lawyer called a “significant victory” in court Monday when a Los Angeles judge ordered her former business manager, who she accuses of squandering much of her family fortune, to file an accounting of his expenses with the court.

Superior Court Judge Robert Wada told lawyers for Barry Siegel that the accounting must cover the period of January 2004 until the end of February 2016 and should be filed by Nov. 29. He set another hearing for Dec. 17.

Presley’s lawyer, Amjad Khan, told the judge that an accounting is “pretty much what this case is all about.”

After the hearing, Khan said, “This is a significant victory for Lisa Marie Presley.”

The accounting must include expenses Siegel charged as Presley’s business manager and his reasons for using funds taken from the Promenade Trust that was originally formed by her father, Elvis Presley, Khan said. Siegel was the trustee of the Promenade Trust, Khan said.

Attorney Leon Gladstone, on behalf of Siegel, told the judge the accounting will take time because thousands of documents are involved.

Presley, 50, alleges her $100 million fortune was pared to five figures because Siegel acted in his own best interests in making business decisions.

On July 23, Siegel countersued Presley, saying she owes him $800,000 in additional fees.

Presley, a singer-songwriter, is the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She also is the sole heir to her father’s estate.
