Is there anyone else who like me, likes to collect Funko pop vinyls? Personally, I like them and have collected a few through the years, and OF COURSE my favorite one (in a tie with Thorin Oakenshield lol) is Michael! Now, there are 5 models of MJ being made to date, my favorite one is the Grammy awards  Sadly, only have 3 of the 5:cry: (the prices are INSANE nowadays) Hope to finally complete the set one day...

Which one is your favorite? Here are the official models released.

Sadly the Thriller one was cancelled. shame as I'm sure they could have made money from that one. They could have released two - werewolf MJ and normal MJ. If I'd know how expensive they would get after release, I'd have bought them right at the beginning. now they're too expensive for me to bother with.

EDIT: Now I've done a quick Google search and found that's exactly what they had planned - two Thriller funkopops!

Yup, they cancelled those because apparently they've found it of poor taste since Michael's dead, or at least that's what I've heard.
For the ones who haven't seen it here are the models:

I came so close to getting these for £20 each yesterday but they were already sold. They look so cool, when did they come out? Can't believe I missed these.

Whaaaat? 20£ each???? That is CHEAP they're price nowadays is around 150£ each. They came out in 2012 I think. I got my 3 last year for a decent price, I was extremely lucky! Still missing Beat it and Smooth Criminal but managed to get my favourite and rarest of the set; the Grammy awards, that one goes for 200£ and it's value doesn't stop to raise...

I'd love to collect these because I think they are just adorable. BUT when I first saw them a few years ago, the prices were pretty extreme. Now, it's even worse. I actually saw a Funko Pop in a store recently-I thought they were only online. I saw a Star Wars one.

hell yeah, the prices for the MJ ones are insane. Funko pops have become quite a thing and nowadays you can find them almost everywhere.

I saw these in store when they came out. I also held one in the line of the MJ shop at One before putting it back.

Man I wish I had bought them when I had the chance.

The only thing I dislike about Funko Pop (except the giant head - it really bothers me) if you consider how much you're paying for is that it's non-realistic. For example, WETA has made some LOTR vinyls that don't look that expensive and I think they're visually better than Funko's (https://www.wetanz.com/shop/vinyl-figures). But they also have the masters collection...

For me it's ok if you're paying for something really nice, that you can see a person's effort put into painting, sculpting or even thinking about the pose instead of something that has just gained momentum.

The two I'm missing are sold out precisely

As a HUGE Tokien fan, I'm so happy you just casually mentioned them hahaha hmm Some of the funko pops have very good designs IMO, like Thorin Oakenshield, which is my favorite, but some others have them bc as a collector want to complete the set. The new Weta ones are cool however I'm not willing to start another collection unless Thranduil or Thorin would be released... :p

I thought you'd say "unless I win the lottery"

Honestly, I used to hate Funko Pops, and I still feel that way about some designs, but I'm beginning to warm up to them, and these...these are awesome! I would proudly own these. Don't really collect MJ stuff yet, but I really want to change that.

Oh, I love the big giant head and the enormous black eyes-that's what makes them cute.

MICHAEL JACKSON ESTATE: FUNKO'S GOTTA PULL MJ DOLLS ... The Agreement's Over!!!

Michael Jackson's Funko POP! dolls might belong on a shelf somewhere, but they had no business being on the company's site for years now ... and his estate just put an end to it.

Sources tell TMZ ... attorneys for the MJ estate recently noticed Funko POP! was still using images of the rare Michael Jackson collection that hit the market nearly a decade ago on their website in what the estate considered a way to keep fans engaged.

Fact is ... we're told the estate did do a 2-year licensing deal with Funko in 2011, but that expired in 2013. However, Funko collectors could still access images of the dolls in the website catalogues ... a no-no for Mike's Estate.

As for the dolls, the original collection featured 5 -- one for Bad, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean and one in a sequined jacket -- and they still do pretty well on the resale market. In fact, there's a Smooth Criminal doll on Amazon for nearly $300.

In any case, Funko got the message, and agreed to pull the images of the MJ dolls ... so the MJ Estate was satisfied.

We reached out to Funko ... so far, no word back.

And this is why i'm am loosing hope for the estate. bummer. i hope they make a new deal in the future.

I hope that the Estate will consider creating more environmentally -conscious 'MJ' products in the future. The production and processing of plastic and the resulting waste is an environmental catastrophe, and the oceans are now 'plastic soup'.

If we really want to support Michael's hopes to save the planet for our children and our children's children, then we need to stop using plastic to make non-essential items.

If a business deal has expired 7 years ago, a company can not keep using the product photos on their website as if the product were still available. That’s not only confusing for the customers, who might have found the photo on Google and clicked through to their website only to be disappointed, it’s also plain wrong, and the Estate did the right thing when they requested that the photos be taken down.

Ture but it's still make me loose hope to the estate because if other funko pops still being made so should michael.

Please excuse my ignorance, but can someone explain what this is, and why anyone would want to spend money for it or even lots of money? :D
Kind of looks like baby toys.

I'm sure there will be some on ebay (and other well known marketing web sites).

It also looks like there's a Chinese site that sells copies..... They don't seem to use the official name or have a box.

I wonder if the Estate will be able to stop them from selling. (Can be difficult with overseas companies)

and there are others with the Funko name and a box on another page- these might also be copies.
