1163 School Children Dance and Sing to Celebrate Thriller 35

All elementary schools in Hengelo (Netherlands) which is a total of 1163 kids have performed “Thriller” moves in the market square of the city yesterday.

The performance was followed by a smaller group singing “We Are the World” while all other kids got in formation to form a big heart!

The project was initiated by teacher (and obviously fan of Michael Jackson) Paul Smidt. Paul is well known in the “Thrill The World” organisation and he has organised MJ event in his home town since 2009. The even was to raise funds for the charity “The Ronald McDonald House” and to share the message of peace created by Michael Jackson. This year was pretty special as this event was also paying homage to the album Thriller which turned 35!

Well-done to all of those who participated (and those who donated!)

You know what I could picture.. Michael wanting to participating in something like this..

Michael loved breaking records, if he knew if he showed up and participated would make a record that would not be beat.. I think hed love the idea.. if hed fo it because of the difficulty around making it happen (the reaction of Michael being there) is a different story though.
