It still has that "empty" part between the moonwalk and the back-up singers coming in. What do you think it was going to be? Someone suggested in the comments of the video that maybe there was going to be a lights dance sequence with the suit with LED.

Maybe Michael just wanted it to be longer so he could dance more. One interesting thing is that we can hear the album vocals during the chorus. Maybe he was going to sing with it.
