His style (the Fedora, the band aid, the military outfit, the curls!)
His short films (which one? Thriller? Bad? Scream?)
His dancing (The moonwalk? The Robot? Which routine?)
His voice (which song?)
For me it was his voice. Earth Song was the first song I really, like, listened and it really blew me away.. and here I am now.
"'Til the day we meet again; in my heart is where I'll keep you, friend."
The first time I remember anything about Michael was in 1991. I was 6yrs old and Black or White came on the radio. I remember saying to my mum "What is that??!!". I was hooked!
So I voted his voice, because thats my first memory of Michael.

Watch me now, watch me fly!
I'm Peter Pan, I can do anything.
I soar so high, I am forever" ~ Michael Jackson
Dance with the Angels Michael, I love you more. xxxxxxxxxxx
A tie between his dance and voice because the first time I watched the Billie Jean performance at Motown 25, I was amazed by both. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen and I thought his vocals were gorgeous.
He had an incredible amount of love to give and not enough people to give it to.I love you, Michael.
"That was all thanks to my dad. He raised me right." - "Prince" Michael Jackson Jr.
For those who asked: I don't have a twitter or a facebook
I was five when I first heard Michael on a tape, Thriller album, we were a communist country, and tapes and video cassetes were so hard to find... so I voted for his voice![]()
I couldnt choose. it is really a combination of all.
Let us dream of tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul, and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation.
His voice. The first album I got was Thriller. I think it was the love songs that got me hooked. Lady in my Life, Baby Be Mine, etc.
"What we do in life echoes in eternity."
Michael, there is no one for whom this is more true than you.
Of course, being exposed to Mike for the first time as a young kid, it was the videos. Thriller to be exact, that was my first experience. I was scared out of my mind, but fell in love at the same timeSo my parents got me Moonwalker for Christmas when it came out and I watched it to DEATH. I likened it to crack for kids, it was so random, mesmerizing and addicting
(I still have my Moonwalker VHS).
Speechless...that's how you make me feel...
Fopr me it was the music, not necessarily his voice. Dirty Diana and Smooth Criminal made me a fan. Later I fell in love with his looks and his style![]()

Dance.
I was watching the '93 AMA's to see a different artist and Michael came on and did Dangerous. The entire performance was mesmerizing for me, for some reason, the latter part, after he ditched the jacket, when they danced in unison to the end, was particularly the moment I think... when I went from being a casual fan to major fan.
Good luck with the Thesis![]()

I love you Michael. I'll never let you go
His voice.
As soon as I heard "Will You Be There" & "Man In The Mirror" as a little girl, that was it for me.
I loved his music and even as little kid I could recognize that he had a uniquely beautiful voice.
Ooohhhh... this is SO difficult to answer, because when I see/hear/think of MJ, I think of his voice, his moves, his short films, his style, his curls, his house, his animals, his Ehh Ohhh's, his EVERYTHING.
I might be wrong on this, but I think we can't simply take ONE aspect of MJ to be THE one thing that appealed to us. In my case, I became aware of MJ with the making of "Thriller" and I was 6 or 7 by then. And I say that I "became awared" of him, because ever since I can remember, now I know he was there, but as a little child of 2 or 3 I wasn's aware that the little boy of the Jackson 5 cartoons was the same boy singing "Ben" and the same young man singing "Thriller"
"Thriller", the video, was my welcome ticket to MJ's world. And what is Thriller? Just "a song" (his singing)? Just a choreography (his dance)? Just a movie (his short videos)? Thriller is all that and much, much more. We WANTED to dance like him. We WANTED to be the girl walking by him. We WANTED to be rescued by him.
And then "WE are the world" came out... and we wanted to follow the efforts of that young gentle sould. So he was not only beutiful, graceful, full of talent, a great dancer and a great singer... he was also a caring soul!
But maybe I was too small to fully understand that. Then came BAD. And it was a shock. If we wanted to dance Thriller before, some like me decided we could NEVER dance "Bad" the way Mike did... so... I just watched, amazed and full of admiration to him. All the videos from the BAd album are master pieces. But "Smooth Criminal"... that is a classic.
MJ is not only a singer, not only a dancer, not only a generous man. He is THE man and he is UNIQUE. I love him for his ALL. And yes, he made lots of mistakes. Many mistakes and he suffered for those; that's why I love him the most. With all his gifts, MJ was just a man, a human being just like you and me.
I love MJ. All of him!
(ok... I am a passionate fan!)
*bump* Just in case anyone who wants to comment hasn'tI wanna read this thesis once it's finished
