What are they?

I'm not the biggest JJ fan, but I can't STAND when a person (who shall remain nameless) tries to claim that an artist of today (guess who) is bigger, or has had a bigger impact on music then artists who have been out for decades. So, in order to gather some AMO against said person...I'ma need ya'lls help (and I also want to know myself).

What records has she set/ broke?
What awards has she won?
How Many awards has she won? and in what category's?
How many records has she sold? (singles and albums)
Has she ever recieved any "special" awards/recognition? (like: WhiteHouse praise, legend or Icon awards)
Anything else somebody wants to add...

This should be fun, I don't know her stats (that deeply) so if somebody can enlighten me, that would be nice.

i know she had the biggest debut tour ever for a solo artist

first to have several hits in top 5

33 global number one hits

at the time was had the biggest contract deal

have to research some more

roughly 36 million in the U.S. (RIAA certification should be 40X platinum)

Records -130 - 140 million worldwide

Singles - 55 million

Videos - 5 million

:)

I wish they'd recertify Janet's albums so we have a more accurate estimation on her worldwide sales. Because as long as she remains at 26 million, no one is going to believe she's sold 100 million albums.

i am not a fan of Janet's and I don't think I can name 2 of her songs but that is an astonishing accomplishment for anybody. she deserves respect for her work and that family deserve the title Royal/first family of music. No other family has achieved so much.
