July 4 came soon and her mum
had insisted she’d go and
tell her everything…
She wished she could join her but
She had to take care of Gianni and dad…
She was quite nervous when she set foot
In the venue…
Posters hang up, sunflowers and roses placed,
Candles were burning too…
His music blaring out of speakers…
It felt like a whole different world
Opening for her…
People around her were chatting,
Some were crying and been hugged…
It looked like more a family meeting than
A joint where people came to party…
She never went to a memorial before…
Hell, there were even NO posters
in her room of any band…
She went over to the bar and
Ordered something…
There she sat, alone soaking up the
Atmosphere and sipping from her soda…
“Hey, join us”
Someone called out and
tapped on her shoulder.
“You are not alone…
I’m Audrey and you? “
“I’m Emily…”
“Welcome Emily.
Thanks for coming.”
“I’m what’s called a Newbie”
Em whispered.
She already experienced some ‘envy’ from
The hardcore fan base…
“A newbie… HUH…
This is a fan only Memorial, Hun”
One protested.

Emily didn’t dare to answer this one…
