NEW YORK -- The supermodel manager who launched the careers of Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour and Milla Jovovich has his eye on a budding beauty -- Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late King of Pop.
Michael Flutie, creator and star of the new modeling industry E! reality show "Scouted," told The Daily Tuesday that he wrote to 13-year-old Paris in hopes of making her a model."I just basically introduced myself and said, 'If you want to talk about this, there's an incredible opportunity and I would be very selective,'" Flutie said. "I think she's stunning. I said I would actually become a modeling agent again and only represent her, because that's how beautiful I think she is."After three decades in the high-gloss industry, Flutie knows how to transform girls into glamazons. He discovered 15-year-old Jaime King at an amateur fashion show in Nebraska, signed Rhea Durham (the model wife of Mark Wahlberg) outside a nightclub in Paris, and sent a young Crawford on bookings that would turn her into an iconic supermodel.Flutie's passion for fashion models inspired "Scouted," which he calls "the most organic process you'll watch in a Cinderella, fairy-like docu-series.""Shows like 'Project Runway' and 'Top Model' have sort of created a misrepresentation of what really the business is about," he said matter-of-factly. "I know that both of those are very successful shows, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for them, but that's not how it really happens."There are no tense judges' tables or contrived challenges on "Scouted," which shows how leggy potential models are plucked from shopping malls and parking lots in the heartland and then shipped to New York, where Flutie and his staff, along with One Model Management head Scott Lipps, test the models for greatness. Some of the "Scouted" contenders get signed, some are rejected and some get to rub bony elbows with One models Bar Refaeli and Selita Ebanks. All are counseled by Flutie, a fast-talking and fabulous natural reality star."I'm looking for models with spirit and confidence," he said. "If we're going to go away for 21 days, and we're gonna be on a caravan in Africa, and we're gonna shoot the next resort story, someone who's not gonna complain, who's gonna ride an elephant or walk through the jungle barefoot!"

they NEED to back the hell up off these kids. Paris doesn't need the likes of people like this. They are trying to make money off her thats all. Of course she is a beautiful girl but she doesn't need these people in her life.

Jeez, it's only a 13 yo GIRL. Does she need to become one of these skinny stressed out women used as a hanger? I sure hope she'll never get that letter, and that she'll focus on her education.

Well, I agree with him; Paris is absolutely stunning!
A few people have approached Paris but she has always brushed them off. She's a smart girl.

1. Yes, she is beautiful

2. Leave this child the hell alone!

All people are trying to do now is continue the leeching of Michael Jackson in any way possible.

As much as i agree that she is a beautiful girl she is too young for this. Maybe when she reaches 18/19 then if she decides to do that then that would be okay

^I agree. People judge models because they're jealous they can't be skinny and beautiful like them. Usually it's the heavier girls who are all anti-model, and somehow delude themselves into thinking being morbidly obese is "normal" and "real," when in truth both the model look and the so called "BBW" -barfs- look are not exactly healthy. With that said, I think Paris could definitely do it if she wanted to, she's got the looks for it.

However, I think at her age she would not be able to really decide if that's what she wants. I think by the time she's 18/19, she would be able to seriously pursue it if she wanted to. The way this person is approaching her is borderline predatory, and it's obvious part of the appeal is her status as Michael Jackson's daughter.

I'd be all for it if, a few years down the line, she decided that's what she wanted to do.

Paris is a beautiful teenage girl who will most likely grow in to a stunningly beautiful woman. But she's still a child, and shouldn't be getting offers to be a model etc. I really don't think Michael would approve of the way Paris is in the media on a weekly basis, I just think it's wrong.

Remember the look mj gave bain when she said the same thing. urgh shes 13and these ppl just want to use mjs kids for the attention and money it will bring them

These kids will have to learn a lot. They will be tempted with a lot of bad stuff. I hope they will know how to deal with it.
Offering a 13 year old girl to model...that is just sick, no matter how gorgeous she is. She is very beautiful and will be a stunning woman one day.

We should thank the family for this. They let them go in the front of the public attention - so that's the result. But honestly i'm not sure Michael could continue to hide them from people's eyes. Paris is so beautiful girl i can't imagine how he would hide this beauty from the whole world :)

EDIT: On the other hand i think they shoud stop to push them into the public attention and appearances before they grow up and be able to make their decision themself. I think 13 years is not that age when kid is able to make a right decision especially while there are so many temptations around them.

she is 13, I hate to see how people are lusting for her even at that age (YES there are sick folks online saying they can't wait for her turn 18)

Well she is a very beautiful girl, I'm not surprised agents see potential in her, but its way too soon in my opinion. I could see her as a very successful model when she's older, of course if that's what she wants.

Depends what kind of modeling we're talking about. Thirteen year olds wear clothes too--someone has to model them, and it would only be logical that such a person be a thirteen year old if that is the target market of the clothing line, no?

However, if Paris' heart isn't really in it (AFAIK she's never expressed interest in modeling), there's no point in pursuing it. It's a serious, grueling, and time-consuming profession.

Let's remember what Michael himself thought about 13-years old children. He believed they are just a kids and shouldn't let the childhood go away. They shouldn/t work and go into the adult world too soon. Well times change and children are growing up before time, and i don't know how would MJ deal with his teenager children, but i think he would warn Paris and prefer her to finish school first.

This isn't the first time, someone offered Paris something.

A lingerie football league wanted Paris on their team (they found out she was the only girl on her football team) as soon as she turns 18. Disgusting.

Runway has very little to do with "beauty", I think Paris is better than that... I would be sad for Paris to be introduced to the prime world where being a stick figure is pushed on her.. My personal opinion runway models looks like lanky tall boys.. They are not there to be beautiful they are there to make the clothes look beautiful... The less shape a person has the more they can ulture what the close looks like on a person.. We will have to get used to people offering her things like this and others throughout her life, she is MICHAEL JACKSONS daughter, as sad as it is I promise you that one point in her life someone will approach her for even pornography of some sort. Just give it the time.. WATCH

Yes, when she's older. She can do whatever she wants. The problem is that she has no very reliable people around her.

No, they look beautiful, and runway has a LOT to do not only with beauty but with elegance and style. It is a talent, even if you happen not to like the industry, the people who do this have a certain talent and they are not only there to make the clothes look beautiful, but to present a certain image to create a need for the consumer and thus ignite the flame of desire. If what you said were true, they'd photograph clothing on mannequins and the entire modeling industry would not exist.

However, it not only exists but it is thriving because models (both male and female) are alluring people who successfully market an item as desirable to the general public. This much you cannot ignore.

You can't just take whatever skinny girl and turn her into a model. Modeling, like designing, is an art...and the model as much as the designer has to possess a certain talent and vision. Otherwise, the collaboration would never function.

If true, that is beyond disgusting. But unfortunately, you are right. This will only get worse as she gets older. =|

^ You don't have to speak as if I don't know about Runway.. I've been involved with them to some extent myself. And there is talent and eligance.. But beauty we will have to bed to differ.. The beauty is found in the lines of there movement, and face structure to pick up lighting a specific way.. That is art! YES!! Beauty Not neccesarily at all.. Now I am not saying every run way model is ugly.. But if you know about the industry which it seems you do.. It has a very dark and ugly undercoat.. And I am sorry but runway is not for "beauty" as in the individual only the art of the profession... Like a dance, not always the dancer is attractive. but the dance is beautiful..

Coming from a man that is heavily into fitness, I still would have to say that In an industry that considers the woman below as a "PLUS SIZE" model, there is something terribly wrong..

This.

^^ And people say Michael was the pervert.

Oh dear God..:'(

I wish they would just leave these children alone and let them be children...

I fear for them. Nobody ever protected them or will they protect them like their own loving father did...:'( I miss Michael.

Paris is a gorgeous young woman. It fits that people offer her a modeling opportunity, some a smidgen better then others.

However, I think as fans we are to involved in the kid's lives. We do not have a say in anything they do or are approached with. I know a lot of people here think i am all kinds of nutty but its true we do not know anything about what these kids want and we cant stop them from doing what THEY want to do. We have to see that they do have adult's in their lives that they talk these things over with Paris and Prince are old enough, wither you people think so or not, to make up their own YOUNG ADULT minds. I love those kids like i love Michael But i know they have sound minds and do as their dad taught them. They know better than we think, they are aware.

I think the kids should be adults before doing anything major. They have plenty of time to do what they want. They should be just be kids for now because when you are older it gets tougher.

and paris thinks latoya is wonderful and prince thinks dieter weisner is great. teenagers with adults around them who only care about using the kids to make money and not their well being is a reciepe for disaster.

Oh my gosh, no, no, no...What they would do to her. :( When I see runway models, all I see is the pain and struggle in their eyes. Most are not happy at all. These runway modeling agencies ruin women inside and out and try to turn them into something other than what they are. Those models become products of the business. I would hate to see Paris get sucked into that sad world. :(

Paris is only 13 years old, I can't believe people are scoping her out like this. She has a long way to go before she's 18. This disgusts me. It's scary how some people are looking at Michael's kids the same way they looked at him. All they see are the dollar signs $$$.

I believe she is better than that though. They have their dad to look to as an example for them and they will change their minds a million times about what they want to do with their lives. They are still so young and people are trying to push them into something they're either not ready for or not destined for. It's a shame.
