..Michael Jackson did cast his place in cement !!

I thought it was fitting since tomorrow the World will honor Michael Jackson and his Legacy in Hollywood as an ICON should be !! Then I found it even more ironic that according to the Article it has been almost 1 year to the day that Michael's prints were found !!
Then they named it...

"The Broken Heart Stone"

Michael Jackson's Handprints & Footprints Found Set In Cement..

A hand and foot print made by Michael Jackson in cement have been found over 20 years later - and are set to sell for up to $100,000.

The King of Pop pressed his hand, feet and signature in the concrete in June, 1984, the year he released his Thriller album.

Jackson set his hand and footprints in cement for part of the Las Vegas Walk of Fame Project - which was later scrapped.

The autographed stone went into storage in the basement of Vegas' Riviera Hotel where they were hidden until they were found - over 20 years later.

The full-size 30" x 30" slab - weighing 500 lbs - comes with photos of the cement setting ceremony - which took place almost 25 years to the day before he died.

It has been a dubbed the "Broken Heart Stone'' because a surface crack runs through a heart design within Jackson's left palm print.

The slab is being sold at Nate D. Sanders auction house in Los Angeles, California - where officials say bidding could hit $100,000.

Mr Sanders said: ''Michael Jackson's original handprint, footprints and signature are cast in cement.

''Unlike other celebrity handprint reproductions, this one-of-a-kind slab is authentically imprinted and signed by Jackson and comes with pictures of him during the ceremony.

''The impression is dated 6/84 in the lower left corner of the slab, when the King of Pop was at the apex of his career, with his landmark album Thriller taking in eight Grammys that year.

''The piece dates almost exactly 25 years to the week before his tragic death on 25 June 2009. This is an amazing, truly one-of-a-kind tribute to Michael Jackson.'' Jackson pressed his hand and feet into concrete in what was meant to become part of the Las Vegas Walk of Fame Project. Jackson, along with other celebrities, took part in placing his footprints, handprint and stylized autograph in wet cement. Yet the Las Vegas Walk of Fame Project failed to materialize.

The endeavor ended in 1984, and the autographed stone of Jackson's imprints went into storage in the Riviera Hotel's basement in Las Vegas, where it remained concealed for almost 21 years, hidden from the world as Jackson's career continued to thrive for over two decades.

The cement measures roughly 30" x 30" and is 4.5" thick and weighs roughly 500 pounds. Lot also includes a photo of a smiling Jackson with his shoes in the cement that was later made into a promotional poster. With COA from Riviera President and COO Mark Sterbens, who is standing beside Jackson in the photo and assisted him during the event.

Santa Maria man shares story behind Michael Jackson's
"The Broken Heart Stone"
Posted: Jan 26, 2011 4:31 PM by Monica Quintero

A twist of fate is the reason a Santa Maria man says he ended up with a unique piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia. It's being called "The Broken Heart Stone" and there's quite a story behind it. If you can believe this, it was actually lost for more than two decades before being found again.

The king of pop was at the top of his career with the Thriller album. In fact, Jackson won eight Grammys and his career seemed unstoppable. During that time, the pop star also created something special. Andrew Wilson, Jackson memorabilia owner, said, "I really believe it's something the world should see." It's a 500 pound cement slab dated June 1984 and features a hand print, footprints and autograph of Jackson.

Wilson said, "I was at the right place, at the right time." The former five time international Kung Fu champion and Santa Maria resident had formed a business relationship with Jackson. He said, "I was very supportive of him during the trial." Wilson even wrote a letter of support for Jackson to a local newspaper. "I got word back from the people at Neverland that Michael had seen it and was very pleased about it," said Wilson.

Wilson says that twist of fate came on the day Jackson died. He arrived in Las Vegas and ran into some of those same people. He said, "People at Neverland knew me and said oh my gosh, I think Michael would love for you to have this." They put him in contact with the then-owner of the impression. Originally, it was made for the Walk of Fame project for the city of Las Vegas but that never materialized. So what's shocking, the stone stayed hidden in the basement of the Riviera Hotel for more than two decades before being sold.

Wilson said, "You can actually look at his hand and you can actually see a heart print." The left palm print features a heart shape design with a crack running through it, that's how the name "The Broken Heart Stone" came about. "A broken heart represents not only Michael but the fans that loved him in his quick and immediate passing," said Wilson. He goes on to say, "I think it's kind of a statement to the world. Yeah, I died with a broken heart and I have fans who have a broken heart because of me."

It's a one-of-a-kind tribute now up for grabs. "The Broken Heart Stone" is being auctioned by a company specializing in Hollywood memorabilia. The auction ends Tuesday, February 15th, 2011.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Michael Jackson's hand and footprints were immortalized in Hollywood during an elaborate ceremony on Thursday.

Jackson's three children -- Prince, Paris and Blanket -- placed their father's shoes and a sequined glove into the cement outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

The event, which was produced by the executors of Jackson's estate, was aimed at more than just paying tribute to Jackson. The ceremony also marked the Los Angeles run of a Cirque du Soleil production featuring Jackson's music called, "Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour," which is set to open on Friday. Cirque du Soleil announced it will be adding more L.A. performances in August due to high ticket demand.

Other members of Jackson's family attended the event and the cast of the show also performed. Other A-listers like Smokey Robinson and Quincy Jones were on hand to pay homage to the late King of Pop.

Nearly a billion of Jackson's records have sold worldwide. Jackson also had 13 No. 1 songs and was voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.

Jan. 26 was officially declared "Michael Jackson Immortal Day" in the city of Los Angeles.
