Die ungarische Post (Magyar Posta) gibt neue Briefmarken heraus. Als Thema wählte das Unternehmen den fünften Todestag des Popstars Michael Jackson.

Der amerikanische Popsänger Michael Jackson verstarb vor fünf Jahren an einem tödlichen Medikamentenmix. Der Sänger wurde mit Liedern wie "Thriller", "Billy Jean" oder "Black or White" zur Legende. Zudem erfand er den Tanz "Moonwalk".

Magyar Posta ehrt nun mit einer Briefmarke die verstorbene Poplegende. Der Bogen kostet 3.000 Ungarische Forint(etwa zehn Euro). Erhältlich sind die Marken auf der Homepage der ungarischen Post.

jointly issued in 2009 with a silver-coloured overprint on the front. The exclusive souvenir card which
includes the souvenir sheet was designed by János Girgász and has accompanying text in Hungarian
and English. The souvenir sheet is available at selected post offices and Filaposta in Hungary from 6
January, but may also be purchased from Magyar Posta’s online store.

I just tried to order and it worked. It can be shipped to China.
So far so good.

I'm glad that they're publishing these MJ stamps.
But what is the point of selling stamps that can't be used to post mail or packages?

They are obviously aimed at stamp collectors.

Its best if you create an account first or it asks for email and PW in middle of transaction. click sign in at top to do that first. Then You add the amount you want in the box then then click the green button Add to cart. Then at the top of the page click the little red cart to finish your transaction.
