I love Janelle Monae. She's one of the few current artists who are interesting to me. I'm excited about this.
 
Thought I had missed this and was quite disappointed... my ultimate lady musiclove paying tribute by performing songs of the origin of my musiclove?! I am so there and I'll be on air!

I was flipping channels and got to see this just as the Berry Gordy part was starting-Janelle (and the dancers were terrific) and Berry looked great-he just doesn't age, does he? Smokey, either, for that matter. Does anybody know if this was held at the Pasadena Auditorium (where Motown 25 was filmed)? It looked like it-I would LOVE to go there and tour it one day. That and the Apollo.
