The game is simple. You post your Top 10 MJ/Jacksons/J5 songs and every time a list is posted the Nr 1 song on that list will get 10 points, the Nr 2. 9 points, Nr 3. 8 points and so on. I will summarize the results in an Excel table and at the end we will have a list of MJJC's favourite MJ songs. I used to have this game with a forum in my country a couple of years ago and it was fun. (At the end I will reveal what was the result there, it will be interesting to see how "international taste" here differs.)

Rules: Any song that MJ participated in goes. So that means Jacksons songs J5 songs, duets, soundtrack songs etc. So let's start! Post your Top 10!

Well, yeah, it's difficult. I did not say it will be easy. :p
A lot depends on my current mood, so my list now may not be the same that I would make in a week. In fact, I checked out the list I made for that other poll I mentioned in the OP and the first two were the same but the rest were different back then. Man In The Mirror was higher on my list back then, TDCAU was lower and the rest were totally different songs. LOL.

Like many, I don't have a definitive top-ten & what I'm enjoying changes on a weekly, sometimes daily basis.
This is what I'm enjoying today, in large part because the production value is so incredible, & I'm just really loving the more dancey, hard beat driven, edgier pop hooks & rhythms of BOTDF/Invincible.

Picking a top ten is way too hard to do lol

I based this list on ...just thinking back and picking which songs had the most emotional impact on me, as well as how much the artistic composition impressed me. Some were just ridiculously beautiful like Is It Scary and WYBT, others are just so well written and memorable like BJ or Who Is It.

Not worth starting a new thread, so I'll post this here (hope that's okay Respect 77),I've finally dug out my Top 100 MJ that I first posted in May 2010. I've updated it with a few from Xscape & Michael (which felt a bit wrong).

Everytime I look at this list I see that it is flawed, with some obvious ommisions, but what can you do?

Tony that's one hell of a top-100! I couldn't even begin. Interesting that you group tracks from albums together and as you delve deeper things spread out, but grouping comes up again for Dangerous a few times. Nice to see 11 tracks from Invincible, funny how, when were rating MJ tracks against MJ tracks, Invincible falls short, yet in a broader context we still rate the tracks as quite good, & outside of MJ rate them higher.

Well, yeah, that's exactly it buddy. I've never said that Invincible is bad (bat DWA & Privacy), it only fails next to other MJ albums.
 
It literally pained me to not include Music & Me, Get On The Floor, Smooth Criminal, Push Me Away and To Make My father Proud in my top ten.

Can we not start this thread over and make it a top 20? Seriously ten is too restrictive for a career spanning 1969-2009.

'Big Boy' (One Derful! version) & 'Maybe Tomorrow' are my favorite Jackson 5 song's of all time!

Okay this was pretty hard for me because my top 10 keeps changing... It was very hard for me to choose between Will You Be There and Who Is it. Had to think thrice before picking my all time favorite...

I wanted to add so much other sings such as Liberian Girl, Tabloid Junkie, In The Closet, 2Bad, Black or White, Dangerous, Give In To Me and Dirty Diana. It doesn't mean that I don't like these songs just because they are not in the list. I love all of these songs! It's just a pain in the ass to make your Top 10 because you want to show your appreciation to all of these songs... I hate to make these kinds of lists. :puke: :censored:

If there were to be an allocation for a top 20, i would certainly include 'Loving You' & the 2014 mix of 'Xscape'! love them :)

Wow, this list was incredibly hard to make but this is what have been listening too lately, but the top 3 don't change much.
 
If it were to become a top-20 I'd add a few classics & a few rarities like Another Day Original Mix, Escape Original Version & maybe Hollywood Tonight or something from Bad25.
 
Even though it is quite rare that I listen to Michael anymore. You can blame my depression on what happen to him for that. But my top 10 are songs of his that I can still handle listening to. On the days when I can handle listening to him. Which is quite rare for me.:( I prefer my Bollywood music on most days anymore. But I do miss listening to Michael like I used to.:( :boohoo I so totally envy you fans that can still handle listening to him.

These have been my top 10 for sometime, I do regularly change the list, but these are ten that tend to be in it a lot. They're Michael's best songs, vocally and musically. His distinct voice is present in the top 3. These are the songs I have on repeat!
