Beyonce was great!
Noticed the similar outfit.

Coldplay is great in their own right, but good move on them getting others for the show. But, they definitely overshadowed them, haha.
 
I saw Beyoncé's nod a few hours ago! Tied in perfectly, a tribute to her hero plus it fit in with her song!

It was pretty cool after Beyoncé came on where she and Bruno had that little 'showdown', how it kept switching between them! Then they started showing past performances, I noticed they lingered a bit more on those who have since passed like Whitney Houston, James Brown and, of course, Michael.

On a side note, I really wish they'd just upload a 1080p official version of the Superbowl Half-time performance right after the match ended or something.

I noticed they left out Janet of the montage. I wish NFL stopped acting so childish towards her already. She (and JT) made a mistake, alright. JT has been forgiven since. Janet apparently still hasn't...

Yeah, I think you are right. They did not show Madonna either and a couple of other performances as well. So maybe they chose to show only a select few.
 
Id be surprisrd if they werent nods with beyone bruno and mark.members of the "Michaels babies" group of artists
 
Don't remember seeing Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Britney, N Sync etc.

One of the better half time shows. Beyonce and Bruno part was amazingly done.

Air Jordan Spizikes


The Air Jordan Spizike was made to show appreciation to Mars Blackmon aka Spike Lee. Spike’s part in the rising of the Air Jordan was very crucial. A lot of people may remember the funny commercials Spike Lee’s alias Mars Blackmon from the movie She’s Gotta Have it.

Initially nicknamed the “retro Frankenstein”, the Air Jordan Spizikes (Spiz’ikes) had as many haters as lovers initially and probably a few more. Many anticipated that this was going to be a bust, but when word got out that the first colorway of the Air Jordan Spizikes would only be available along I-95 (as per Spike Lee’s request), the hype for these shoes boomed!

Initially, the Air Jordan Spizikes were going to be released in only the first two colorways, but after the more than warm reception to the first colorway, Jordan Brand fast tracked 5 new colorways including one that is themed after another hot Spike Lee joint, “Do The Right Thing“.

seeing the MJ footage on the superbowl the same weekend I watched the off the wall doc was def special to me..
 
For me, the best part was when they showed the clips of Michael's performance. ;)

Yes I saw it! Amazing! He got the most time in the clips between everyone that was showed I think.
 
I noticed the second I saw those cards in the stands and that it was still daylight. Homage from the opening and Bruno blew it out of the water.
Loved Beyoncé s outfit-even wearing one garter to symbolize one arm band. Loved their dance off and escorting Chris down the runway.
 
They showed a picture of Michael on the opening too. They said something about the world changing over the last 50 years, lots of images flashed across the screen. I only really caught Elvis and Michael.

Right after rocking out at Super Bowl 50 last night, Beyoncé talked about the performance while backstage with “Extra’s” AJ Calloway.

Beyoncé shared, “It was super exciting.”

The two-time Super Bowl performer also confirmed that her sexy outfit was an homage to Michael Jackson’s Super Bowl 27 performance. “It was... it's the 50th anniversary, so I gave love to my favorite performer.”

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings with a couple of friends watching the halftime show. Listen to me when I say this I got goosebumps when Mike's part came on and the whole restaurant went crazy chanting Michaels name. It caught me by surprise
 
Great Half time. Coldplay was little less exciting but they did good. Of course, Mars and Ms. B tore it up. I love the homage to Michael. When I saw it, MJ came to my mind. Even Bruno looked like Michael from the "Off the Wall" era. Great job.
 
I thought it was really bad. Coldplay are quite bland and it didn't really feel much like a spectacle. Beyonce & Bruno added a little to it but it certainly was one of the worst ones I've seen. I'm happy they showed Michael too, I was worried they'd left him out.
