Good morning everyone! There is no new news to report but a few mentionings. Have a good day! :)

Michael Jackson Mentionings:

I wasn't criticizing Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I just think the choice was odd, since the Super Bowl stage now is usually reserved for legends like Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, U2 and Michael Jackson. While his albums have been steady sellers and garnered favorable reviews, Petty is not a rock superstar. Dave Matthews Band would have been a better choice if the Super Bowl wanted a hot touring rock act. And there's this guy named Bruce Springsteen who's on the road these days.

Saying 'I do' to getting one's freak on

Just a quick perusal finds a finely attired couple doing the robot to a techno tune; an entire bridal party re-creating the dance from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video, and a bride and groom enlisting their friends to break out in a "Night Fever" with them.

My Cutlass took me away from the days of bumming rides

was hooked. It had the cushiony, velour seats, and the best air conditioning I've had in the three vehicles I've driven since. I added a cassette player (huge in the 1980s) that pumped out plenty of Prince, Rick James and Michael Jackson.

Redeeming rap

Born into a military family in Fayetteville, Tamara Lytch was a toddler when her father was transferred to a base in Germany. She remembers early rap groups like the Fat Boys coming to the base and signing autographs. But back then, her musical tastes ran more towards Michael Jackson. "I had the belt, I had the jacket -- I was that kid," she says.

Anka still does it his way

Anka's tour comes as the former '60s teen idol celebrates five decades in the entertainment industry with the release of a new double album. Called Classic Songs, My Way, it includes some of the Ottawa-born singer's biggest hits, and covers of popular songs from recent memory.

They include Duran Duran's Ordinary World, The Killers' Mr. Brightside, Daniel Powder's Bad Day, and Cindy Lauper's Time After Time.

"I just sat down with Billboard magazine and albums, and picked what I thought would fit," the 66-year-old said.

"My daughters were a sounding board for me. I certainly talked to them. I get honest opinions from them."

He attempted some U2 and Michael Jackson, but the results weren't pure and honest to his style.

Skinwalkers is just a bad film from the first moment. The title credits alone show you how cheesy it is going to be and they end up not being wrong. One of the biggest and evidently the most glaring problems is how the werewolves look. There is no real transformation but simply you see humans shaking around, a cut away scene, and then a shot back and they are werewolves. Werewolves that look like a strange combination of Lon Chaney in The Wolfman and Michael J. Fox in Teen Wolf. I can't forget that they stole Michael Jackson's yellow eyes from the "Thriller" video as well. Taking them seriously or even somewhat scary is hard to do when the female werewolf looks like a Siamese cat.

Michael Jackson HIStory:

1984 - The Jacksons played their last show of the decade together in Los Angeles, CA.

1995 - Michael Jackson's single "Earth Song" debuted at #1 in the U.K.

2003 - The Indianapolis Star reported that Tito, Marlon, Jackie and Jermain Jackson had signed a tentative settlement in two civil lawsuits. The lawsuits accused the Jackson brothers of failing to credit producer Gordon Keith and R&B group Ripples and Waves for their work on the compilation releases "Pre-History: The Lost Steeltown Recordings" and "Ripples and Waves: An Introduction to the Jackson 5."

2003 - A document was leaked that revealed that Michael Jackson was investigated on sexual abuse allegations in February 2003 and that investigators found the charges to be "unfounded."
