I couldn't stand up or hold my head up," he said in his hospital room Thursday. Now, smiling broadly, he showed off his newly acquired musical skills, playing Michael Jackson's "Beat It" on a keyboard with a small assist from a music therapist.

The 30-second ad, inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Black or White,” is out on Vijay TV, which is allotting 8-10 slots every week. Some of them are on prime time, while the others play on the afternoon band. This is part of the corporate social responsibility activities of the channel, says R. Balachandran, Vijay TV’s vice president (planning and marketing). Television will provide a wide reach, he believes.

DJs rarely played the same-ole, same-ole hip-hop airing on the radio. Last night, DJ Justice killed it with a Michael Jackson set, and then D.R. delivered old-school underground hip-hop. Davis sent us home with Chicago-style house music.

Similar to a dance recital — but on ice — this skating performance follows the evolution of music over time. Children will skate to tunes from The Beetles and Michael Jackson. Tickets are $10 for adults 13 and older; $5 for children and $25 total for two adults and two children.

Fire’s parents are Haitian, and during his childhood in Central Nyack he wasn’t allowed to listen to rap in the house. However, he inevitably heard hip hop through his friends. In high school, he started listening to 2Pac, Dr. Dre, and, most of all, Biggie. “Biggie was my dude. I mean, I really love that rapper.” He also finds Michael Jackson inspiring because his music reached people around the world, which is essentially what Fire hopes to do.

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else and I believe this might have taken place on the 19th, not sure, but Akon got a call from KISS95.7 radio in the morning and said Michael Jackson is about ready to take over 2008, among some other things. His comment certainly stirs up some excitement...

Here's the link so you may listen:

This is way too exciting!

If he is not going to perform, then there must be some major announcement that will take place.

Or it could be that he will announce something on a commercial.

Just specing!

Dang, if all my dreams come true, Dallas will be in the Superbowl and Michael will rule 2008.

Akon has spoken....Mike will take over 2008!

Day 96: What the media don't show about Michael Jackson the business man -

Sony ATV
Climax shoots down acquisition rumours

I have not sold or agreed to sell a single share," says Jeffrey
Climax boss Karl Jeffrey has denied the company is to be acquired by German developer 10tacle Studios in the new year.

10tacle has already swooped for Hungarian team Stormregion and only yesterday announced it had acquired Germany's The Games Company.
It also announced a move for Climax earlier this year with the intention of buying 29 per cent of the developer, but according to Jeffrey the deal was never approved.

"The 29 per cent rumour was all based on as press release 10tacle did earlier in the year which was factually wrong and not approved by Climax," said Jeffrey.

"I own 100 per cent of Climax, I have not sold or agreed to sell a single share to 10tacle or anyone else," he stated.
Climax sold its racing division – the team responsible for THQ's MotoGP and Sony's ATV games to Disney in 2006, with the renamed Black Rock Studio currently working on two racing projects.

The latest titles from Climax include Silent Hill: Origins for Konami and the PC port of Viva Piñata for Microsoft.

Thanx for that RastaPasta, but I must admit I find that quote a wee bit confusing. So the owner of Climax said he hasn't sold share to anyone but then says that he sold 'racing' part to Sony etc? Oh am I reading it wrong.
