Motown 25 performance on T25 newly dubbed?

I've just watched the Thriller25 dvd and noticed that Michael's BJ performance @ Motown25 is edited.

The whole performance is overdubbed with hand clappings, also Michael seems to be 'out of sync' on some parts.

I think it is just like the history dvd`s , and when sony says the videos have been remastered they lied because the picture quality is excactly the same as before.
Plus the sound has a slight hiss sound.
