Great news! Here are MJ's positions on the ARIA charts this week:

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008

#4 - Top 50 Digital Track Chart (up 12 spots)
#8 - Top 100 Singles Chart (up 12 spots)

Thriller

#40 - Top 100 Physical Albums Chart (re-entry)
#44 - Top 100 Albums Chart (re-entry)

"Thriller" has re-entered the album charts this week because music retailers broke the embargo and started selling "Thriller 25" one day early (on Friday). The ARIA chart week is from a Saturday to a Friday.

"Thriller" is still only certified as 12X PLATINUM.

#50 - Top 100 Physical Albums Chart (re-entry)

#1's has finally been certified 3X PLATINUM, which represents shipments of 210,000 units nationwide.

Wow, I am amazed at how well the single and album are doing on the charts. I wonder if they would make it to number 1... I hope so

may i know what's the difference between Physical Albums Chart and Albums Chart?

The Top 100 Physical Albums Chart is calculated using CD sales only.

The Top 100 Albums Chart is calculated using CD and digital sales.

Interestingly, there is no Top 100 Digital Albums Chart (probably because the digital albums market is still quite small in AUS).
